Cannot preview attachments in gmail

I recently upgraded to Firefox 4. Since that time I cannot preview .doc, .xls or .pdf attachments. I can preview small .txt files. I know this is not an issue with gmail because I can get previews in Safari. Using macbook pro with OSX 10.6.7. I look forward to hearing from you.

PowerPoint: "Sorry, we ran into a problem. Please try again"
As suggested i even see the Application Log the 140 and 142 Event IDs for MSExchange OWA

Cannot upload attachments in Gmail using Firefox 5.o

Gmail locks up when I try and upload an attachment. I have to kill it with the Task Manager. This happened after I upgraded to Firefox 5.0 --there was some blurb about a Gmail problem, but I don't recall it as impacting attachments or I wouldn't have proceeded

Cannot Sending attachments with GMail

I have an Ipod Touch 4th gen 32gig. I am able to send and receive e-mails from anyone with this mail program and my gmail account. However, I am not able to send e-mails with attachments. Upon sending a phot to someone, the e-mail went to my gmail Outbox and simply stayed there. In order to send it, I had to go into the outbox, click on edit and then clicked on send. Then it went. Help. I have the latest software installed 4.2.1 on my Ipod Touch and the latest ITunes software if that helps anyone.

Try updating to iOS 4.3.1, which is now the latest software. If the problem persists, try restarting your iPod by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears.

Trouble downloading attachments in gmail/Firefox-IE

Since this morning, I cannot download attachments in gmail using Firefox or IE (I did not try out Chrome). Since I have this problem in multiple browsers, the issue seems to stem from my computer, but still I'd appreciate any suggestions...

Previewing attachments

I was previewing attachments, pictures .png files, at least 30 or 40 of them and then all of a sudden I got an error message that
"this file cannot be previewed. try opening the file in the program in which it was created" and now I can't preview even the pictures I previously did.
What happened? What can I do?

This issue can be caused by the temporary files, sometimes Outlook may not handle its temporary file folders well, so cleaning out the folder may solve this issue.

Cannot preview office attachements in Outlook 2010

I just installed Office 2010 Home & Student and Outlook 2010. But I cannot preview any Office files in Outlook. It says "This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it". PDF attachments preview just fine.
When I go to Trust Center settings and view "Attachment and Document Previewers...", I don't see anything specifically related to office in there.

From your description , I understand that you cannot be previewed any Office files in Outlook because there is no previewer installed for it.
So based on your current situation, I would like to recommend you uninstall your Office 2010 and Outlook 2010 completely use the KB article link.
How do I uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if I cannot uninstall it from Control Panel?

? Can't print PDF attachments to gmail since installing 11.06

I am on Windows 7 and Firefox, Since installing 11.06 I can't print PDF attachments to gmail messages. I get a (false) message that file cannot be printed, because no pages have been selected. I tried uninstalling 11.06 and downloading and insatalling it again, Same result. Any way to download a backlevel version for the time being? Would appreciate any other sugestions..

Disabling Protected Mode as suggested solved the problem. It seems to me the impact of Protected Mode should have been highlighted with a warning at the download site. Alternatively, and in my opinion preferably, Protected Mode enabled should not have been made the default. -shel488

After TB 31.5.0 cannot send or receive gmail. Spinning status wheel. Server timeout.

Updated to 31.5.0 and now cannot send or receive gmail from my desktop. Message is that the server timed out and there is a spinning status wheel. Windows 8.1. Tried reinstalling, rebooting, running TB in safe mode, turning off Win firewall, disabling Avast system security, compacting folders. I can get/send mail at the gmail website and on my iPhone so the problem appears to be specific to Thunderbird 31.5.0 My laptop has an older version of TB and it does not have the problem. What kind of video? There are dozens of formats, some don't play on a Mac unless you have the right plug-ins for Quicktime. There are some things you should download to help you out.

These should cover EVERYTHING you'd ever encounter (though maybe not). Frankly, if it's not H.264 or w4v (or both), it doesn't belong on your mac.

You can check your default PDF handler by opening Acrobat / Reader --> edit --> preferences --> General --> Select Default PDF Handler

Again, where are you seeing the date?
Select one of the imported photos, type Command + i and check in the iPhoto Info drawer to see what the EXIF capture date is for those photos.
If the date is correct then you're looking at the file created or modified date and not the EXIF capture date that's embedded in the image file itself.

I'm not sure as to what exactly is going on, but it looks like yahoo has changed something on their side that makes certain old urls/servers dysfunctional (you may be currently using those because you've bookmarked them before or through your history) - at least quite a number of other users have reported that...
<br>so using the generic address https://mail.yahoo.com/ as a bookmark should lead you to the current & working url.
