If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
Verify that the printer:
1. Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
2. Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
3. Has the latest firmware version installed.
4. Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
5. Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with the above steps.
Notes:
- AirPrint printers connected to the USB port of the Apple AirPort Base Station or Time Capsules are not supported with AirPrint.
- Some Wi-Fi AirPrint printers can take several minutes to join a Wi-Fi network after being turned on. Ensure that the AirPrint printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network before attempting to print.

Lacking any responses to my initial post above, I will briefly update how I resolved this issue today.
Installed new external hard disc, 1 TB WD My Passport for Mac, and straightforward setup involving first installing current OS X operating system, then system migrator utility to rebuild the same setup as saved in latest Time Machine backup. The whole process was somewhat time consuming due to my internet connection speed and USB data transfer speeds but it went without any issues. The computer now boots up and operates identical in all respects to how it did before the problem occurred.
Regarding the internal HD of my iMac, if I now run Disc Utility to verify the disc, it reports "appears to be OK". However, viewing the disc usage in "About This Mac" window, it displays as entirely empty. Opening it in the finder also shows only a "Apple Hot News.mbox" file and a single .jpeg image, and .nothing else.
Interestingly, the Bootcamp partition of my iMac's internal HD continues to work fine and appears unaffected by the problem. I use bootcamp rarely but still will plan to set up a replacement bootcamp volume on the new hard disc soon, in order to take its place.
That the problem surfaced coincident with the software update may have been nothing more than bad luck? At this point I have no reason to suspect that the softward update had anything to do with the difficulties.

I've installed the most recent drivers for these printers and unfortunately it's still not compatible with Yosemite.
I guess all we have to do is wait until Ricoh/Lanier brings out an updated driver for us

After installing os x 10.8.3, the lbp6000 cannot print. I have downloaded and installed the latest driver from cannon. It showed copies are ready to print. But there is no actual printout. The print job just sit in the print que. Any ideas?

Working on the assumption that you had an older version of the Canon CAPT driver installed on this Mac before you installed 10.8, I suggest that you open Finder and trash the following files. Note that if you haven't done the reset that Greg has suggested, you will need to open Print & Scan and remove the current LBP6000 printer.
Mac HD > Library > Printers > Canon > CUPSCAPT (trash this entire folder)
Mac HD > Library > LaunchAgents > jp.co.canon.CUPSCAPT.BG.plist
Mac HD > Library > Caches > Canon > CUPSCAPT > CCPD > ccpd.conf
With the above files removed, restart your Mac and then run the CAPT v3.60 installer again. Then add the LBP6000 in Print & Scan and then see if you can print without error.

Cannot Print After Installing Latest Security Upgrade

Yesterday I downloaded and installed the new Security Upgrade from Apple. Today after restart I cannot print with my Brother HL-1440 printer. I downloaded and reinstalled the printer driver. Still doesn't work. Thank you Apple.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Have you had a chance to read through the support docs at the Printers website?
I found these two that may pertain somewhat to your problem that you may want to look at:

Looks like you are supposed to delete unnecessary printer drivers of other manufacturers and to be sure you "reselect" the printer in Print Center after downloading their drivers.
And, I'm sure you downloaded the correct driver, but certainly wouldn't hurt to double check that it is the correct driver. (that sounds like something "I" would do.....)))

I need to disable SNMP for network security reasons. After doing so from the web configuration page of my P2035N printer, network users cannot print to this printer. It shows as 'offline', even on the web page. We have tried restarting the printer, as well as the print spooler on the server. It is connected via TCP/IP, IPv4.

Unable To Print After Download

After downloading the new Security Download, (2006-007), I can not print. The whiling multi-colored cicle just keeps on going round and round after I designate the number of copies etc. and press PRINT. I have to Force Quit AppleWorks to stop. I've re-installed the printer driver and repaired Permissions. When I print from NeoOffice, the printer works!!! I've check everything I can think of and end up short. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has this happed to you with this download??

the security update and appearanc of the spinning
beachball may be unrelated, particularly if the
problem is affecting only AppleWorks. The usual
suspect whenever AW slows down is the Recent Items
folder at
Mac HD > Users > yourname > Documents > AppleWorks
User Data > Starting Points > Recent items.
Trash the whole folder, or most of the items in it
and see if that solves the problem.

Barry, I dumped Recent Items as you suggested, (which was a good idea that I'd forgotten about). Unfortunately, the removal did not solve the problem. Do you have any other thoughts of what might be done to resolve the issue?

Try re-adding your printer in System Preferences/Print & Fax. Not sure what type of printer you have, but if it was old and relying on an Appletalk connection, Snow Leopard dropped that support.

We have tried multiple computer models with multiple printer drivers\models.

Further testing shows that Notepad and word pad are unable to print as well so the issue is not with Adobe Reader the issue
is with the Windows 2000 Print spooler.

Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:

If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

We are in the midst of rolling out sap gui 6.40. Noticed that after installing the gui 6.40 with patch level 25, users cannot print adobe documents. However they can read.
Anyone experienced similar issues? Kindly assist.
Adobe version is 8.
