Cannot print all documents in a Portfolio

Using Acrobat 9.1 for Windows the "All documents in portfolio" option in the print dialog (which online help suggests to use) is simply not present. Any idea why this is?
So I have to keep printing all documents individualy which is a pain obviously.

I am having the same problem using Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows XP SP3, but none of the suggestions have worked.
No matter what layout I choose, with no files selected, all files selected, or only a few files selected, the only "Print Range" I get in the print dialog box are the standard choices of All; Current view; Current Page (greyed out); and Pages (greyed out). I simply can not get the choices of "All PDF Files" and/or "Selected PDF Files" to appear under the Print Range.
I have tried:
Selecting and saving the various layouts without previews;
Creating brand new portfolios wihin Professional 9.3.3;
Selecting differenct printer drivers; and
Performing a complete uninstall and reinstall and update to 9.3.3.
No matter what I do, I can not get "All PDF Files" and "Selected PDF Files" under the Print Range to appear.
This problem does not appear on other machines opening the same portfolio (opening the same portfolio on other machines I get the "All PDF Files" and "Selected PDF Files" under the Print Range). It only appears to be a problem on my laptop, which is a big problem as it is my only machine.
Any ideas?

PDF portfolio cannot print all pdfs

I cannot make acrobat print all pdfs in a portfolio. The user wants to be able to select multiple pdfs in the list in the portfolio and print - and I would expect Acrobat to be able to do that, but cannot make it work.
To test this issue i produced to pdf in acrobat. Use create new from blank page. no#1 is 1 page no#2 is 2 pages.
In acrobat click combine to single pdf > portfolio. I save my new pdf portfolio to the filesystem.
I open the portfolio and select both pdfs and click print icon. I only see 'All' in print range and NOT 'All pdf files' as other users explain they do

Hope someone knows whats missing and how to solve it??.

Did you follow the instructions on the website you gave in your post? In particular:
You don't have to print all the PDFs in the portfolio. If you click the List View button, you can then CTRL-Click to select just the files you want to print. Then, choose File> Print and Acrobat will only print the selected files

At this point my suggestion is to do a full uninstall of the old print driver and an install of the most recent version print driver which you can obtain at:

Successfully downloaded and installed Adobe Reader on my PC ... ( Windows 7 home premium (64 bit) OS). Cannot print adobe documents... Error message indicates need to install plug-in for adobe reader for windows 7 home premium (64 bit) OS

What is the full and exact message you are getting?
If the PDF contains Rich Media, the Flash Player plugin may be required: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player.exe

Print all documents in Transaction CC04 at once

In Transaction CC04, Under each document, There are sub ordinate documents included with it. User needs a way to print all the documents at once that have status as RL( Released). Is there a way to Print all documents with out drilling down in to each document and print. Please tell me a way to figure out this.

The print functions are generic ALV functions.
The 'print hierarchy' prints all nodes which have been expanded before even if they are not visible in the tree (collapsed).
That's the difference to the 'print view' option.
It depends on the application design which nodes are expanded.
In transaction CC04 'product structure browser' the product structure will never be completely expanded by design because the whole PLM environment could be part of such a product structure, means depending on the filter settings millions of objects have to be expanded.
In SAP Standard it is not planned to change the existing behaviour in transaction CC04.
Material BOMs can be printed via transaction CS11 or CSMB (in this transaction a context menu function 'EXPAND ALL' exists which can be used before printing).

Cannot print all colors on HP Photosmart C7180

Cannot print all colors on HP Photosmart C7180. Changed cartridges, updated Mac Software. Did not help, When using the HP diagnostic test only 4 colors show.

I have Reader XI. All of a sudden I cannot print a document in Reader.

I have Reader XI. I have a HP laptop with Windows 7 and a HP Envy 5530 printer. I was able to print from Reader last week. Now all of a sudden I cannot print. Not having printer issues except with Adobe Reader. Tried the suggestion to change security level in Reader. That did not work.

I found this on the Adobe site. Seems to be working for me...for now. Needs to be set as Administrator and it works fine after that. Not sure why mine switched unless it was during some type of update. Good Luck!!!

Cannot Print pdf document

A user on windows Vista is unable to print any pdf document. All other documents print to the printer. However, when pdf document is to be printed, it prompts for "Save As'. I have upgraded the version from Adobe reader 9 to 9.4.6 to version 10. No improvement. I checked for updates, still the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader. Same problem. I gave user full rights to the Adobe folder under Programs folder. Same problem. However, when i log on as Administrator, I am able to print. However if they are given temporary Admin rights, they still cannot print. Would like to know if any one else has come across this and if so what the fix is. Thanks.

Generally that means that the "print to file" box is selected in the print dialog menu. If so, deselect it and this will stop.

Printing all files in a portfolio

Discovered that, if you select the "List View" layout for a portfolio (running Acrobat 9.1.3 on Snow Leopard), you lose the print dialog box option for printing "All Files". Under the "Grid" layout, the "All Files" print option is restored. Pointed this out to tech support, but wanted to save others the headache.

Sharing a folder does give others access to it, but it does not change the permissions of the files inside. Other users can probably read everything, but they can't modify files that they do not own unless the owner of those files has changed the permissions to allow it, or other steps have been taken to provide additional access such as the use of an Access Control List (ACL).
Apple doesn't include a GUI utility for manipulating ACLs, so your choices are to use a third-party utility such as TinkerTool System (not free) or the Terminal application. The Drop Box folder in your user's Public folder has an ACL entry that gives access to change just about everything on files that are dropped there, so a Terminal example that sets similar permissions for everyone (a particular user group can also be used) would be:
1. copy and paste the folowing into the Terminal window (there is a trailing space):
chmod -R +a "everyone allow list,add_file,search,delete,add_subdirectory,delete_child,chown,file_inherit,directory_inherit"
2. drag the desired folder into the Terminal window (this copies the path)
3. press return
Note that ACL entries only work on items that have been created in the folder - not moved there - so you should use option drag to make a new copy in the shared folder.

I cannot print a document I created on the Beta of Pages through iCloud.

I have an iMac Mid 2007. I have installed OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10.l I created a document on Pages, and was unable to access it. I accessed it via iCloud, the Beta Version of Pages, and was able to edit it. Now I cannot print it. Any suggestions?

When you installed Pages v5, it automatically moved the older Pages ’09 v4.3 into /Applications/iWork '09 folder. If you want normal comment interoperability, you are advised to resume using the older version of Pages. Newer, is certainly not better with Pages v5.

Print ALL document & markups?

I have Acrobat 9 Standard with all updates applies, I also have PDFlyer installed and I am trying to print my document with markups by going to file print and making sure that under comments and forms, I have selected Document & Markups. However when I print it some of the sums do not show up, how can I get them to show?

We are on 5.0.0.41. Do you have the 'show calculator tape in a document when printing' checked in the PDFlyer settings? When you say 'sums' I am assuming you are referring to the calculator tape.

Cannot print complete document

Setup:
PC1
Windows XP
Adobe XI
Xerox WC 6400
Server 2003 - Print server
PC2
Windows 7
Adobe X
Xerox Phaser 8560MFP
Server 2003 - Print server (different)
Problem:
Initial problem was printing any page after first off centered. We corrected that problem by choosing "print as image." PC1 and PC2
Second problem was printing more than 4 pages. 23-page document would only print 4 pages. Windows would only show 4 pages in the spooler, but I could see Reader XI was still compiling the document. PC1 only.
What I've done:
I was able to duplicate the first issue on PC2. I was NOT able to reproduce the second issue. I had no trouble at all printing the full document in one go. This document is the smallest document printed to go into a report, and all of the other documents print without issue on PC1.
Question:
Since I'm sure Microsoft would say that Adobe Reader is the problem, and Adobe would say Windows is the problem, I'm asking here, hoping for a neutral opinion. I can't tell if the problem is the PDF (since it did print correctly somewhere else), the print server (since it does print larger documents), or the PC (since it was able to send the correct information to the same printer through the same server for other PDFs).

Save it as a pdf and then try printing it.

Cannot print Word documents

Hi - been having this problem for as long as I can recall! Occasionally I can get a document to print - I managed 2 days ago, but went to print off some word docs today and get the message 'word cannot print, there is no printer installed'
Yet when I go to 'devices and printers' the printer is there - with a great big green tick - the laptop also 'bongs' when I plug in the USB lead -meaning the printer has been found.
Various things i have tried:
I uninstalled the printer, then re-installed it again.
I tried it in a different USB slot
I turned the printer off and on again
Printer works fine on my desktop PC
Any wise words before I succome to temptation and chuck it against a wall lol!

Can you use your printer with other programs? For example can you print a pdf file or some Excel sheets?
Furthermore I cannot read any information about your operating system, notebook model, printer, etc. and these information are necessary.

Adobe reader not printing all document content.

I am printing from a web based PDF document and it will not print all the document/ form content.
I am using a Win7 computer, IE 8, and an HP DJ 2400 printer
I have tried un-enabling advanced fatures, tried changing the print processor, and tried changing the options from document, to document and markups, to document and stamps, all to no avail.
I know there is a simple issue and resolution to this, but I just can't remember what it is.

Try copying the file to your local machine and then print it from there. So when it opens, click "File", then "Save a copy".
