Hello ,
i have hp designjet roll 111 when print any thing form autocad i can print fine and good resolution
but when try to print form pdf i can print but the resolution for color not clear.
i am installed latest driver and update acrobat reader and change dpi
and also try print from another computer the result the same
please help me i am tried more

Cannot print A3 from InDesign to Canon clc 4040 printer

Hi I have a problem that may or may not have anything to do with InDesign...
Office with 5 Mac Pros, PowerPC models, all running identical OSX 10.5.latest, Adobe CS4 everything.
All software up to date. Basically all machines identical.
All users are storing their files on the same network volume.
3 Macs can print A3 to the Canon clc 4040 but 2 cannot. This is Mac20 used by Kirsti and Mac07 used by Kevin.
If Kirsti sits at Mac20 she cannot print A3 from InDesign. It prints an A4 page, being part of the whole A3 document (its not the A3 doc shrunk to fit A4) The same goes for all other apps including MS Word. Page setup =A3, printer setup = A3, result... printer prints A4. BUT she can print A3 from Quark XPress 8.0.
If Kirsti logs in to another Mac she still cannot print A3 BUT the usual user of that Mac CAN print A3. But if they try to print Kirsti's files A3 they cannot.
All Macs have exactly the same driver from Canon. Latest version 2.0 from their website.
Deleting the InDesign preferences from the Mac makes no difference.
All Macs on same network.
All connecting to Canon clc 4040 via network using IP or using Bonjour. Same result with either protocol.
I have deleted and re-installed the printer countless times.
The only "work around" is to remove the A4 tray and "force" the printer to use A3.
The above scenario is the same for Kevin on Mac07
The Canon CLC 4040 has a "Fiery RIP" whatever that is...
Can anyone point me at where the problem lies? I have had a Canon tech on site but he could do nothing.

My experience is with CS2 on OS 10.3.9 and 10.4.11, so this may have changed in CS3, or 10.5....
Setup a custom paper size for your printer.
This can be accessed from within the InDesign Print window.
File > Print
Select your printer from the
Printer: pulldown menu (if not already selected)
Click
Page Setup... at the bottom left
Click
Settings and then select
Custom Paper Size from the list of options
Click
New, name the style, define the paper size and printable margins, and save it.
Click OK to exit the page setup.
In the InDesign Print Window, Click on
Page Setup... again
Select
Your New Paper Size in the Page Setup
Paper Size: pulldown, then click OK.
InDesign Print window
Setup should reflect the new page size and list the paper size as "Defined by Driver"
If your document page size is the same as your paper size, then the preview in the lower left should reflect that.

You can also take a screen shot of your screen displaying the voucher. Press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album.
Note: On an iPad without a camera, screenshots are added to the Saved Photos album.
Then, you can transfer the photo to your computer as described in Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to your computer, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Or you can email the photo to yourself.

I also saw this same error message above the Print Queue, ever since allowing the Epson Printer Software Update (August 2013) to install. After this update installed, I was able to print a basic Test Page from the Print Queue, but when printing from any application I only got "Looking for printer..." displayed above the Print Queue, which would stall and never print.
2008 MacBook, 10.7.5. It used to print to my Epson WorkForce 845 wirelessly without problems, before this software update was installed.
Changing the driver from "Epson WorkForce 845" to "Epson WorkForce 600 - Gutenprint v5.2.3" was a workaround that did allow me to print, but I wasn't satisfied with that.

This issue may be a result of the Computer Name being left empty:
Open System Preferences and choose Sharing.
Enter a name for your computer.
Even without restarting the MacBook, I was able to now change back to using the Epson WorkForce 845 driver v9.0 successfully. I never would have guessed that a Computer Name is required in order to print!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. Thank you for the detailed message, tells me where to look for a solution for you. I have looked into your issue with the HP Officejet 6500 E709 Printer and not able to print in color with your Mac.
Here is a document that will show you how to change your Print settings on the Mac. Go to the section Solution four: Check the print settings. Then select the Mac. The Quality should be Normal or Best.

Not sure what you are saying, what printer? what laptop? what network? what have you tried? but it sounds like you do not have the printer driver for the printer you use, on your laptop.
Find the make and model and go to their website and look for the Mac Printer software and install it.
Perhaps you do have it installed but haven't found it. Look down the list next to Printer: in the print dialog.
I assume you have found the envelope templates in Pages' Template Chooser?

I have an hp deskjet f4235. i cannot print anything from my computer.

I have Windows Vista Home premium and an HP Deskjet F4235 I cannot print anything from my computer. The page comes out blank except for a page number at the top and a file number and date at the bottom. I have wireless now but do not remember if this problem occurred before or after installation. I have unplugged the wireless for 5 minutes and replugged it. I have turned off the printer and restarted it. Nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. The DJ F4235 is not a wireless printer. Best option I can suggest on the information provided is to disconnect the USB cable connection and uninstall any software that you may have attempted to install. You can do this by add/remove programs from the Control Panel. Please ensure to only remove the HP DJ F4235 software ONLY however.
You will be prompted to reboot after the uninstall to complete the task, please do so. Verify that the printer is uninstalled by viewing the printers control panel - it should no longer be listed as an available printer?
Next, download this latest software for your printer and Windows OS --> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-59236-4&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...=
Ensure to follow all onscreen prompts and do not attempt to connect the printer until you are asked to do so (it will be towards the end of the software install).

Cannot print coupons from SmartSource with FireFox 3.6.14

I was just upgraded to Firefox 3.6.14 and suddenly I cannot print coupons from SmartSource. I keep getting the message that Java is disabled but it is not. I uninstalled Java and reinstalled it and still get the problem. I can successfully print from Internet Explorer.
I've never had a problem with this until the 3.6.14 upgrade. On the Java web site, it said if you're getting an error message and you recently upgraded Firefox, download an update so I did that too. No help. I've restarted Firefox after each change.

There's a Bug in 3.6.14 with Java. A quick patch is being tested for a 3.6.15 release, but no date is set for that release. Probably early next week.

That looks to be our problem.
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Thanks for getting back to me regarding this issue. Because your printer shows connected on the Wireless Test Report, I am going to have you run some standard Mac troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve this issue.
Step 1: Uninstall Drivers and Software:
First, it's important to have a nice clean slate to work with. Therefore, I am going to have you remove and uninstall the software and drivers for your HP Envy.
To start, can I please have you click here and run through the steps on how to Reset the Print System for your computer. Please run through the steps on 'Resetting the printing system in Mac OS X v10.5.x or 10.6.x'. This will remove every printer from your computer. However, this does not uninstall the printers. Therefore, if you use other printers on your Mac computer simply ensure that the printer is connected through the USB Cable or network connected and (+) add the printer back in via the Print & Scan window. Do not add your HP Envy back in at this time.
Next, please click here and follow through with the uninstall steps under the 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8, and OS X v10.9' dropdown.
Once the uninstall is complete, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Verify and Repair your Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
Go to the Utilities Folder
Open the Disk Utility
Select the Hard Drive volume you are using (usually on the left)
Select Verify Disk Permissions
Once that process is done, select Repair Disk Permissions
Step 3: Check for Apple Updates:
Go to Apple
Select System Preferences
Select Software Update
Click Update Now
Install your available updates
Restart your computer
Step 4: Reinstall your Software and Drivers:
Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer
Once the website opens, select the Download button on the top left
Once the download is complete, please follow any onscreen instructions to reinstall your wireless printer
Once your printer has been successfully reinstalled please test the printing function again to verify if the 'offline' issue has been resolved.

Cannot print photos from Shutterfly Studio or HP Photosmart Essential to Officejet J6480

I am unable to print photos from Shutterfly Studio or HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 to my Officejet J6480. After I click print, the printer sounds like it's going to print, the "printing" message appears in the printer window, the light blinks, but then nothing happens.
The J6480 is over a year old and I've never been able to print photos on it unless I copy the photos into Powerpoint and then print.
Relevant info:

I have Kodak Easy Share and it is changing over to Shutterfly. Why can't I print pictures from my Kodak camera or Shutterfly on my new HP 6510 printer? Why isn't there an option except Snapfish?

Cannot print or save pdf from Safari

When I try to open a page in preview from Safari to save it to my document management program or print it from Preview, I get the error message "Error in printing". Any thoughts?

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
          Allow Plug-ins
Then click
          Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

Print Color from Pages is wrong, every other app is right????

I have a blank pages template and imported my illustrator logo onto it for printing. (Drag and drop) I printed as I normally would from any application and the colors of the logo came out slightly wrong. It swapped the baby blue for the beige and vice versa.
When I print from any other application, (text Edit, illustrator, Word, Mail) the colors come out correctly. I don't change any of the color options on the print profile ever, so why it's printing incorrectly from Pages only I don't know? I have tried both exporting to PDF and directly from Pages and the result is always the same...
Any advice?

I am at a total lost as to what is causing this? My .ai files have PDF compatibility set so it's not that..
The logo does include gradients so I tried both eps and ai and both had the same results. I dragged the logo into text edit, word, photoshop, mail and every other app I could think off and printed.. no problem there at all...
Still unsure about what I need to do in Pages? Should I re-install the app? any other testing that I can do?
