Cannot print crossword puzzle

cannot print crossword puzzle

Printer is HP Envy 100 D410a, serial #[Personal Information Removed]. The puzzle which will not print is the HP app on the printer screen. What happens is it goes to print and all it prints is a small line thru the center of the page with not puzzle.
Other items from the HP Apps print just fine. I downloaded and installed on my computer the HP print widget and this prints just fine so the issue is the printers abliity to print from it's intrnal app. NO Error message is given.
This is the only issue I've had with this printer in over a year of ownership. It's been over a week and a half now.
Thanks for your help thus far.

when I print the crossword puzzle, the squares don't line up and there are un-numbered square that should be numbered. It has worked in the past, but just recently it doesn't print out properly. If I use I.E. the puzzle prints properly. What should I do?

    Hi,
Please follow the steps listed below to disable the schedules print delivery:
    1. From the printers front panel go to the 'Apps' section and scroll through until you find the desired print app. Select the print app and then choose 'Pause' subscription. This will pause the subscription until a user selects it again and 'resumes' printing. If the print app is not visible on your printer it may have been removed, please go to method 2.
    2. Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com and login to your account, create an account if necessary. Go to the 'Apps' section and select the desired print app. Select 'setup' and then 'update settings', at the bottom of the settings page you will see in blue text 'Cancel Scheduled Delivery'.

  • I have trouble with Universal Crossword Puzzle not printing.

When the U Crossword Puzzle doesn't print I try to get it to print by selecting the app on the 8500A screen.  However when I select the app on the 8500A display I get the message that the printer app is unable to connect to the server. This happens every time, although other apps can connect to the server and the printer is on-line. I need to have the U Crossword app connect with the server to tell it to print today's crossword puzzle. That's the only way for me to get it when it doesn't print. What is the problem with this app not connecting with the server???

    Hi Feldo,
I'm sorry that you are having this problem with that app.
Here are a couple of solutions to try:
    1) This solution is guaranteed to work. Note: If you use this solution it will cancel all apps subscriptions that you have created. If you have an eprintcenter.com (or eprint.com) account, it will remove your printer and your custom email address from your account. Afterwards you can then re-add your printer (a new printer code wil print automatically) and recreate a customized email address. However, you will not be able to create the exact same email address as you had before. You can also then resubscribe to any apps that were cancelled.
To use this solution, go to the following website: How to Manage, Pause, or Unsubscribe from Prints and Faxes and click on the link for Solution three: Disable/Enable Web Services on your printer. Follow the instructions there.
    2) Power cycle your printer in this manner: Turn off the printer, unplug the printer (at the socket or at the rear of the printer), wait 30 seconds, plug in the printer, and turn on the printer. Wait at least 5 minutes, then your problem may be solved.
Let us know what worked for you!

  • Removed crossword puzzle app wont stop printing

I removed the New York times crossword puzzle that I previously added to my D110a printer.  However, it keeps printing every Sunday.  How do I get it to stop.  Very annoying.  The app is not showing on the printer screen or on eprint website, so it sure appears to be removed.

    Hey thurman9701!
I can definitely understand your frustration. There is a specific way you have to remove a scheduled delivery app from the printer. Since you've already removed it, you will have to re-add the app and then follow these steps to remove it.
Go to hpeprintcenter.com and cancel your subscriptions. (In the app settings) Then remove the app. Changing any subscription can take 24 hours to take effect also.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • How can I print HP Universal Crossword Puzzles

I had been receiving the HP Universal Crossword Puzzles on a daily basis, which automatically were going to my printer and they printed out based on the scheduled time I selected.  Yesterday I received a message indicating that I will no longer be receiving the daily crossword puzzles.
I've tried to download the app but I'm asked for a claim code and I have been unsuccessful in getting one after reading the instructions on how to get a claim code.
I have an HP Photosmart 6520 printer which I purchased last year.
I love doing the HP Universal Crossword Puzzles and I would very much like to know how I can once again receive them and print them out.
    Matty-2013

Hi Matty-2013. If it is asking for a claim code, then you should just have to reset web services and re-register your printer online.
This document will help you with the steps necessary. Once you get re-registered you should be able to add and setup your crossword app again.

  • After downloading the newer version of Firefox, I now cannot open the NYTimes crossword puzzle with Across lite (I could do it before). Help!

Yestereday I downloaded the newer version of Firefox. I also as recommended did the same for Adobe Flash. When I went to NYTimes site to print a crossword puzzle (as I do everyday) using AcrossLite, I got this error message: /Users/mary/Downloads/Jun0911-1.puz could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to disk first and then opening the file.
I tried updating AcrossLite to see if that made a difference. I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.7

Mozilla are aware of the issue in Firefox 3.6.14 and are working on a fix, no timescale but they are planning on a quick release.
A workaround pending the release of 3.6.15 is to install 3.6.13, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/pogo-and-other-java-pages-dont-work

  • Recently bought new printer. All works fine with one OSX user. However, cannot print anything on other OSX user, including cannot print Adobe PDFs or to new printer. Puzzling!

    computer = Mac PowerPC G5
    OS = 10.4.11
    Adobe Acrobat 7
    HP laserjet M1212nf
I recently bought a new HP printer. I was on an admin user when I installed it. All works fine with this admin account/user. I can print to the HP, print to Adobe PDFs.
However, when I then go over to another user account, I cannot print *anything*. I cannot print to Adobe PDF, cannot print to the new HP. If I try to print an excel file, it says "cannot communicate with the printer" along with some useless suggestions. If I try to print a page on FireFox, nothing happens. That is, sure I get the usual dialog box, click the appropriate choice of printer, click the number of copies, then click the OK button ... and nothing happens. No pdf process is started. Nothing is sent to the HP printer.
The fact that both printer options are not working suggests it is some kind of OS problem, not specific to either printer "device".
    Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi BDAqua,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm a bit leery of trying that. I would think that if the driver was not installed, then none of my users could use the printer. However, both admin users can use the new printer. The list of available printers is:
    Adobe PDF 7.0
    New HP Printer
I also used to have Old HP Printer, which I  removed. Before, Users A, B and C could use both the Adobe PDF and the Old HP printers. Then, after I added the New HP Printer, it showed up in the list of printers for all three users. However, after I added the new printer, only the two admin accounts, users A and C, can actually print anything. Both users A and C can use the Adobe PDF printer AND the New HP Printer. But I get error messages with user B, for both the Adobe PDF printer and the New HP Printer.

  • Cannot print to HP M1212nf from iPad 2 iOS 5.0.1 (9A405)

I have an HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP printer which I cannot print to.
Previously, I have a couple of iPod Touch 4G's that were on iOS 4.2.x and was able to print to it successfully.
Now, for whatever reason, I cannot print to it from my iPod Touch 4G's nor from my new iPad 2.  I just bought the iPad 2 within the last two weeks.  The iPod Touch 4G's and iPad 2 are all on iOS 5.0.1 (9A405).
If I try to print from Safari, I get a "No AirPrint Printers Found" message from both the iPods and iPad.
I have tried to update the HP LaserJet M1212nf with the latest firmware from the HP support site to no avail.  See below link:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&p roduct=3965849
What puzzles me is that this all used to work with iOS 4.2.x flawlessly with the iPods.  Now mysteriously, it no longer works in iOS 5.0.1 with the iPods. It also does not work with the new iPad.
I wonder if there's anything that I need to configure to get this working again.  I realize that it should be all just "plug-n-play" and AirPrint should all work automatically.  Even before the upgrade to the latest HP firmware, the iPods stopped printing to it after they were upgraded to iOS 5.0.1.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Cannot Print in Acrobat Pro 9.4.2 (XP Pro SP3), but Other Apps Can

I am unable to print PDFs on my workstation unless I drag them from a Windows Explorer session and drop them on an open printer window (Start, Printers and Faxes, double-click on printer to open window). I have Acrobat 9 Professional (ver. 9.4.2) running under Windows XP Pro (SP3). I cannot print a PDF from within Acrobat or from within a browser window. I have done a "repair install" on Acrobat and rebooted. When I try to print from within Acrobat or a browser window, I do not receive any form of error message. There is no indication of any problem. If I have the printer window open window (Start, Printers and Faxes, double-click on printer to open window) and I try to print from Acrobat or a browser, I never see anything appear in the window, even briefly. If I drag a PDF from Windows Explorer and drop it in the printer window, the document name appears briefly in the window and the document prints.
I have double checked my printer settings from within Acrobat to make sure that it is not "printing to file." The correct printer *is* selected.
I've tried printing to different printers in the office. I've even tried printing to the "virtual printer" which is a front-end to our fax server. No dice. If I monitor the printers folder (which lists every printer that my workstation can print to currently), the "documents" column (which shows the number of documents in the queue to be printed) never changes from zero.
The fact that I can drag a PDF from Windows Explorer and drop it on a printer and get it to print really puzzles me, since I thought that this was only possible if either Acrobat Pro (or other paid version) or Acrobat Reader was installed. That is, I thought that Windows XP cannot print a PDF unless some sort of PDF reader (Acrobat, Nitro, etc.) is installed. Then again, I may be mistaken. *IF* indeed Windows XP doesn't know how to print a PDF without help from a PDF reader of some sort (Acrobat Reader, Nitro, etc.), then how is it that I can drag, drop and print, but I can't print from within Acrobat Pro itself? Meanwhile, all other apps print just fine to any given printer.
FYI... this question has languished for two weeks with no solution at experts-exchange.com. I've never stumped them before. I've never waited more than 24 hours for an answer there before, and usually a solution takes just an hour or two. This suggests to me that my situation is quite rare. Can anyone get me on track?

I suddenly can't get what I type in to show up on the screen. It won't print my user name or password to enter a site or print the answers in the crossword puzzle site I use.

  • Error in the formation of the crossword puzzle

The Feb 8/14 and the Feb 9th puzzles that were automatically printed had the wrong format for the puzzles.

    Hi rattlesnake,
Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that the crossword puzzle you have set up for a scheduled delivery to your printer did not print correctly on Feb 8/14 and Feb 9/14.
Did that hold true for Feb 10/14 and Feb 11/14 versions of the crossword?  There are 4 different crossword puzzle apps available on HP Connected, which one are you subscribed to?
    Thank you.

  • How can I print the puzzle for a day that has gone by?

I am new to this and can't find how to print a puzzle that I missed, how do I do that?

You are referring to the crossword puzzle app?  There does not appear to be a way to go back and get puzzles from days past. You can set it up for scheduled delivery and choose the days you want it to print so you don't miss it on days that you want to receive it. You can manage that app and others by going to http://www.eprintcenter.com.
You also have the ability to pause and resume printing by settings dates like if you were going on vacation and did not want it to print during that time.

  • HP Universal Crossword Puzzle

I can't imagine why HP would want to screw up such a positive product as the HP Universal Crossword Puzzle.  I received it daily without fail and enjoyed it immensely.  All of a sudden--without notification--it stoppedk coming.  Finally I learned that I eneded to have a router so that mhy HP 8600 Office Jet Pro would be wireless connected.  Got that done and received the HP Universal Crossword Puzzle for two days exactly as before, but again all of a sudden without any notification, it stopped coming.  Howcum?

Hi there are you still having problems getting the Universal Crossword puzzle to print out?
