Cannot print emails from firefox/am able to print emails from internet explorer

As above. Alreayt spoke with canon and all of tests performed indicate the problem is with the firefox program settings

Any clue as to what make and model the printer is and how you are printing? From Mail or Printer App?
Is the firmware in the printer up to date?

  • I cannot use JAVA with Firefox but I can use it with Internet Explorer WHY?

I have never had a problem when JAVA 7 was needed to use a program. Until now. Firefox will not allow me to use Java. I have to open Internet Explorer when working with any program and it works.

To protect Firefox users, Mozilla has blocked/disabled Java 7 u6 and below due to serious security flaws in the previous versions of Java 7. The security flaw would also apply to any other browser using the affected versions of Java 7. You can see the version of Java and whether it is disabled in Add-ons > Plugins; look for "Java Platform SE...". See - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/p138
You can check your '''''enabled''''' Plugins at any time - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

  • After updating Firefox, I am unable to open word attachments from my Outlook email, although the download works when I check emails in Internet Explorer

Following a Mozilla update, Jave console has been disabled and is incompatible with the new upgrade. I'm not sure if this is affecting my ability to open word documents that are attached to email, but I am unable to do this when I open my emails though Firefox. If I open them in Internet Explorer, the .doc file will open normally. I just prefer to use firefox rather that internet explorer

I just got off the phone with support. First, he claimed that WAV files are not supported (although the user guide claims it is). Next, he suggested that WAV files that are transfered through BB Desktop will work, but not files that are downloaded from attachments. Finally, he stated that the file must be in the Music folder in order to work. I was able to use AIR Browser to move the file over to the Music folder, but it still won't play. When BB Desktop syncs music files over, does it create a specific subdirectory in the Music folder? Has anyone been able to get a WAV file to play (regardless of how it got on to the PlayBook)?

  • Cannot send emails from my yahoo account.,but can from internet explorer. Why?

Hi, I can receive emails on my yahoo account;read them and so on,but cannot reply to them.A message comes which states that they are trying to re-load the original mail ,but fail to.I went into the yahoo help page and was told if it worked on a different browser the fault lay with firefox (my default browser). It worked on Internet explorer ,which I hardly ever use.The problem first occurred yesterday ,no idea why.

  • I am unable to print (any website) from the latest Firefox, but print fine from Internet Explorer. Using Windows Vista on a desktop machine.

printer advances page and spits it out with either nothing or a single garbled line printed on it instead of a whole web page. This is independent of which web site and even happens with web sites that have a specific PRINT or PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION button. Printing is fine from Internet Explorer. Unsure about Chrome. Printing from Firefox worked fine until I downloaded newest version. Operating system is Windows Vista on a 64 bit desktop computer.

  • I can no longer send or respond to email from my Firefox browser. I closed and sent from Internet explorer and it works fine. What changed? The only thing different this morning, I downloaded Adobe uprade?

    Question
I can no longer send or respond to email from my Firefox browser. I closed and sent from Internet explorer and it works fine. What changed? The only thing different this morning, I downloaded Adobe uprade?

I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case...

  • I can no longer print web site pages from my Firefox browser. I can still print web site pages from Internet Explorer.

I tried the steps in the Firefox support area of resetting Print.Print_printer but that did not work. Whenever I try tp print a webpage the print preview page is blank and it freezes up. I then have to close the browser and start over. I can print webpages from Internet Explorer.

If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.
*Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html):<br>File > Import and Export

If you can login on Adobe.com then clearly you are logged in  on Adobe platform.  If you want to login to use these forums then click this link and login in the usual way using Firefox browser:
    <https://forums.adobe.com/welcome>
The sign in button is on the top right corner next to the search button.
Is this what you are asking?  If not please clarify again.

  • Canpt print to 8500 from Internet Explorer

Win7, IE8, 64bit vsrsion.  Ever since I started using the 8500 I have not been able to print from Internet explorer.  Dell desktop hardwired to the wireless router.  8500 connected via wireles.  I've reinstalled the software to no avail.  I can print from IE from my other two XP computers just fine (both wireless).  Any suggestions?  I'm getting tired of workarounds.
This is my second post - help please.
    Thanks

I have a HP Pavillion Slimlines5412p-b and a HPOfficejet pro 8500 premier.  I cannot get the printer to accept the messages I send from the computer.  Does Windows 7 keep that from happening?  It may even be something with Comcast, it seems to be less likely to print since I had my phone service connected through them.  I get my Internet Service, cable TV and phone service from Comcast.   What do I need to do to correct the problem.
I had friends tell me it is hooked up correctly but they don't know why it will not print.
Also there is something that comes on the screen that says I need a 32 bit something to read some of the stuff I get.  I am told it is not available with the 64 bit that is on the computer.
Also there are things that come up that says I need the latest version of Adobe to read some of my stuff.  I cannot seem to get the latest version of Adobe to come up.
As you can tell I am not computer literate and probably should not be even trying.  I am not a quitter, tho.  Thanks

  • Firefox will not import all of the favorites from Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 8.1 64-bit OS!

There is another post about this problem in the forum, but the answer does not work. This is the first time I've ever encountered this problem when installing/using Firefox on my desktop PC. I have a new (3/25/14) Dell XPS 8700 desktop tower with Windows 8.1 64-bit (and now Update 1) installed, along with Internet Explorer 11. I previously had a 2005 Dell Dimension 5100 desktop tower running XP Pro SP3 32-bit, which never had any issues running Firefox, but has since died. I used to run Firefox as my default browser, but not any longer. Now, during the install process, Firefox asks if you want to import from Internet Explorer, as it has always done before. I chose yes, and it reported that it pulled everything in from IE. However, it only imported my favorites folders whose names start with a numeral, and then A, B, and onward down the alphabet, but it doesn't import anything more after getting to the folders whose names start with E. So, all of my remaining Favorites folders whose names start with F, G, and forward down the alphabet from there are all absent from Firefox's Bookmarks. I also tried importing the favorites after installing Firefox, which I don't prefer since Firefox installs a folder called Internet Explorer to go to first to get to your favorites. However, still, Firefox only brought in my favorites folders from A to E, and stopped there again. I do not see any way to export my favorites from Internet Explorer (there is no import/export option under favorites, nor anywhere else in IE 11). Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox resulted in the same problem, even after making sure to delete my settings, etc., in the process. Please update Firefox's installation executable so it's able to import ALL of Internet Explorer 11's favorites folders and their contents, complete, as it has always done before. Please contact me when the corrected executable to install Firefox properly is ready for download. Thank you.

If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.

  • I'm wondering were my favourites list went when I downloaded firefox ? Everything dissapeared when I changed from internet explorer

I had a list of sites that I regularly use for banking Gov't. agencies etc. etc. it was labeled my favourites whic I could add or delete at any time when I whent to my browser which happens to be google it apeared on the very left hand side of the screen. Since I have downloaded Firefox I cannot seem to find this list. Can anyone tell me where to look please?

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
    * Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
    * Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

    Hi-
All of the sudden, my font changed on my email. When I check my email on Internet Explorer, it's fine, but on Firefox, it is so tiny I can't read it. It was fine yesterday. I tried deleting cookies and clearing the history, but no look yet. I have all of my bookmarked pages on Firefox, so I really want to be able to use it.

  • Launching Microsoft Access from Internet Explorer to view a downloaded MDB file opens the wrong file (not a problem if I use Firefox)

When clicking on a link (in Internet Explorer 9) to download an Access MDB file and then choosing to open the file directly in Microsoft Access (2007) instead of saving it, the file is copied to Temporary Internet Files but Microsoft Access tries to open
a different file and displays an (Unrecognized database format) error.
When I click on the option to open the file, the MDB file is copied to Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 but instead of that file, Access tries to open a different (incorrect) file located in Temporary Internet Files\Content.MSO (e.g. in the above error
message, NativeView.do is an XML file containing an error message).
I don't see this problem with Word, Excel or PowerPoint files. When opening a Word file (without saving) the Word file is copied to Content.IE5 but an identical .tmp file is created in Content.MSO which when opened in Microsoft Word displayed the required file
correctly. The same happens for Excel files. PowerPoint appears to be handled a little differently (no .tmp file created in Content.MSO but the required file is still copied to Content.IE5) but the PPT file is still opened correctly in Microsoft PowerPoint.
I think the Content-Type "application/msaccess" is fine because Internet Explorer does launch Microsoft Access. It just tries to open the wrong file (or so I think). However, it looks like the file type is not being determined. Here is what I noticed
when trying to open different Microsoft Office files using Internet Explorer:
The last one is the MDB file. As you can see, only for this type of file, the "Type" (Microsoft Office Access 2007?) is not displayed in this Open/Save dialog box.
On Firefox, I don't see this problem. When I tried clicking on the link to the MDB file in Firefox, Microsoft Access was launched and the file was opened correctly. Is there something I can do so the MDB file is opened properly using IE? I can add/change headers
in the HTTP response that writes this file to the output stream (on disk) if that helps.
    Thanks for your time!

Sounds like a problem symptom to be discussed in either an IE forum or an Access forum, not here.  How did you come to post here?  ForumsRedesign.  That might be an on-topic issue for this forum.  <eg>
Can you find your way to either of those other forums easily from here?  Another on-topic question for here I think.   ; )
