Cannot print from gmail or web pages
I am unable to print an email from gmail or print from a website when using Firefox (no problem doing either one with Safari).
Thank you for the link. However, when I type in ''about:config '' a warning comes up that says to go further may invalidate my warranty.... so I did not pursue that option.
The printer set up has been checked and is set up correctly.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Cannot download from Xcelsius support web page
I use IE8 and I get a "broken" download page such that the search leads to a list of files that extend beyond the right side of the browser and I cannot select a download link.
Any suggestions - alternative download sites?
ThanksI have no idea when this will be fixed but I noticed that the page above (which you get to if you go in via service marketplace) has a note about recommended browsers (not IE8).
The page is titled: Downloads for Crystal Reports and Xcelsius and here in the link:

Printing from my email account (Cox) is OK
System Windows VistaWhen my wife updated Firefox to version 7.0.1 she was no longer able to print items from the web such as coupons. She can print from her email (Cox) account.
She is running Vista.
When I updated to Firefox 7.0.1, I did not have a problem. I am running Vista also.
Tried using the Firefox help page but no help so far.
I did notice that on her computer in the "Plugins" for Firefox that HP Smart Web Printing is now disabled and is not compatible with Firefox 7.0.1. She had no problems until she did the update. -
Cannot print from web or browser
I have a HP Pavilion dv4-1275mx laptop and an HP 4700 series wireless printer. I can print from Word, e-mails, etc. However, I cannot print web pages. I use Internet Explorer 8 for my browser.
I use Vista Ultimate 64 bit that I recently upgraded to from Vista home premium. Any idea why can't I print web pages? ThanksI have the same problem and it all started with Tiger. I cannot print from anything from the web (e-mail from aol, comcast, .mac etc) but document printing is fine. Last night I literally spent 1 hour and 20minutes with AOL people and 2 hours and 10 minutes with a VERY helpful hp guy. There is no fix as of now. I get multiple blank sheets and then a portion of an e-mail. Your best bet , until they come out with 10.4.3 is to save the e-mail or web page as a PDF document from the print preview window and save to desktop then print from there. It works, but is slow and cumbersome.
My printer is HP 2210 all in one with the most current driver installed. -
Problem creating a PDF from the "print view" of a web page
When creating a PDF from the "print view" of a web page, the features in the print dialog box overlap. When the PDF is created, the words are garbled. e.g. words apppear as jzhhhxxf or zxihcj.
Use a job settings that embeds the fonts. If you look at the PDF, the font properties probably do not look correct and don't include embedded fonts. Also, set the printer to Adobe PDF before you try to do a print, so that the web page can try to properly adjust to the printer.
Why not just try opening the web site directly in Acrobat? -
How do I print from i cloud? I can access and add appointments but cannot print. Only a blank page shows up.

Cannot print from firefox at all.
In Internet Explorer, I was able to print by pushing the print button, but when opening a frame, like in mapquest, the embedded print button brings up an options window that has print frames options in it, but when hit OK in this box, a second error box comes up with a yellow exclamation point and nothing prints. I have a feeling that it is the same problem with both browsers, but would prefer using firefox. Can you help with this?Yes, I tried that. The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size. I opened that destination folder from quick time from where it said select image sequence. I clicked on the first one and opened it. The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go. When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie. The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation? Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.

I am running OX 10.5 too and using Firefox 3.6.8. I am ready to stop using this!! I like it but it is frustrating. I am on my mac all day for work and cannot find a solution to this Firefox problelm. Acrobat Pro 9.5.4 Update causes PDF to print more like a web page
Something changed from 9.5.3 to 9.5.4 such that PDFs opened within a browser (FireFox) now print more like a web page. This has caused several issues.
1. Printing now uses the header/footer printing preferences of the browser. All PDF's I print from within the browser print with the URL in the upper right, time/date in the lower right and all the other header/footer preferences in the browser. This was never the case before.
2. Font sizes and text location are different. We print checks, invoices from PDF's generated within our business system. These are now misaligned compared to what they have been because of this change.
It's possible this is related to a browser update but I haven't pinned this down yet. I'm using Firefox 19.0, Windows 7, 32 bit.
Any insights are appreciated.Hi,
This is not happening because of Acrobat update but the reason for this change is that Firefox 19.0 has introduced its own Javascript PDF viewer.
You can change the settings in browser to use Acrobat plugin for viewing PDF files. Go to Options->Application to chnage the settings, please see attached screenshot for more details.
Hope this solves your problem.
Thanks. -
PROBLEM: Cannot print from Photoshop
After restart error message appears:
— “There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.”
• All print commands are greyed out and unavailable — even to call up the printer commands cannot be done.
The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared. Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. — only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc.. Preferences reset. Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.
Running Mac Powerbook X 10.10.2 / Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.x64
Attempting unsuccessfully to print to Epson 3880
What Adobe support will be of help.

For some time now I cannot print from Firefox. I thought it might be a glitch after an update, but have updated again since and it still does not work. If I try to print to a printer, nothing happens. If choose print and then save to PDF it seems to work, but then when I try to open the file I get an error message from Adobe saying "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.". On the other hand, I can print and save to PDF from Safari without any problem. I am using Mac OSX 10.5.8, Firefox 6.0.2.
Any help would be much appreciated!Hi,
Please do a CLEAN install:
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
Windows:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
