Cannot print from my ipad
I cannot print from my ipad to my wireless canon printer MX420 which is not on the list have tried to download Airprint but that is also a problem. Help !!
If that canon printer is not an air print printer then the options you have left is to see if canon has any printing apps or look for a third party app like print n share, printopia or printcentral.

I have only had this ipad for a month and while I am not sure I think it has been okay to print before 2 days ago, when I tried to print and I got the message "Airprinter not found" Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do about it? I rebooted my Airport Extreme.
Try rebooting your router. Make sure its firmware is updated. -

I cannot print from my Ipad - please help
Hi
Please can someone help - I have an ipad and an air printer (Canon MX435). I am trying to print from the ipad to the printer but it cannot find any air printers - please could someone help.
Just to say, I am very very inexperienced in technology, so please could you give me the most simplest answers and I will try and follow them. I have googled to see how to do this and it appears to easy, but alas mine does not work.
Sorry if i dont understand what to do, but I really would like some help on this and dont know much about computers/routers/connection/wireless much at all so if anyone can help me set this up, id be very pleased.
Thanks in advanceYou can see what wifi network your iPad is using as follows:
* Open the Settings app (looks like one large gear and two small ones).
* The second entry in the left column should be "Wi-Fi" with one or more words to the right of that.
* If the part to the right of "Wi-Fi" says "Off", you are not connected to wifi at all.
* Otherwise, the part to the right is the name of the current network.
You should have had to select a network when you first brought the printer home and set it up. It should be the same network as above. I have not figured out how you can see if the printer is on the same wifi network after the fact.
Here's another thing to check:
* Print the Nozzle Check Pattern as follows:
-- Make sure there is a sheet of A4 or letter plain paper in the front tray and the output tray support is extended.
-- Press the "Setup" button.
-- Use the right or left arrow button to select Maintenance, then press the OK button.
-- Use the right or left arrow button to select Nozzle check, then press the OK button.
* Under the test pattern you should find a page count and optionally a firmware version (like "Ver. 2.000").
* You need to see a version at least equal to 2.000. If not, you need to update the firmware. -
Good day, my iPad does not seem to pick up my printer. My printer is not AirPrint compatible but is connected to my airport express thru the USB port. My laptop which is windows type connects to the printer via airport express thru bonjour and this work well. My iPad does not pick up my printer thru the airport express. I have read about different software that you can download but this seems to be only if you are using a mac. I know my express is working fine as I can use airplay thru my iPad. Any ideas? I do not want to go to the expense of changing my printer, when there was no mention in the express details that your printer had to be AirPrint compatible or indeed wireless.
See this article to learn how to print from an iPad to your USB printer when you have a PC. The PC will need to be running when you want to print from the iPad.

My 6620 e- All In One Printer model # ME993LL/A Version. 7.1.2 (11D 257) does not print my google e-mail document.I can merely save a Google PDF. Where and how do I find that document
Thank youHi gisdol,
I don't know where you would find your saved document, the Apple Community could help you with that I am sure, but I can help you print from your iPad.
You can use AirPrint to send print jobs over a wireless network to compatible HP printers. Read through the following document for answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) that help you print with AirPrint; Printing Over a Wireless Network with Apple's AirPrint FAQs.
I hope this helps.

How can I print out a few pages of a kindle ebook (music) from my iPad.
How can I download this book to my iMac from the iPad. It is NOT in my e books library, but I can only access it from my kindle app.
Thanks for any help you can give me.One work around is, if the Kindle app allows, make a screen cap of the page and print that.
Hold down the sleep and home keys and relase them together....kinda like you'd press the shutter of a camera, a joint quick down and up
You'll see a white flash and hear a shutter sound. Then look in your photos app and you'll see the images. You can print them just like you'd print a photo. -
The printer, HP 8500A, and iPad2 are connected to the network. The iPad shows the printer when I select print from AirPrint. It does not print. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone found the fix?

This question was solved.
View Solution.I would just reset the app data. To do this open the ePrint mobile app in the top right hand corner select settings which is a symbol of a wheel or gear scroll to the bottom select reset app data. Now you should get an option to activate app.
Let me know how it goes. -

You really cannot print from iPad or iPhone apps!
You cannot really print from iPad or iPhone apps! And that is not good! Of course you can print from web and email on the iPad! But why not from the apps. Why not. This is nonsense!

Yes I really can. And that is good.

If you want to print what appears on an iPad screen but the app does not have a "share" icon, take a screenshot and print it.
To print directly from an iPad you need an AirPrint - enabled printer on the same wireless network as the iPad. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are AirPrint-enabled.
If you do not have an AirPrint printer, a number of workarounds exist that enable the use of any printer you normally use, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades. Search for the following products:
handyPrint (Mac only, donation-supported)
Printopia (Mac only, $19.95 with free trial)
These are utilities you install on the Mac you normally use for printing, enabling it to act as an AirPrint print server. The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. The iPad needs nothing else, no iOS apps need to be installed and no configuration is necessary. If your computer can print, so can the iPad, using one of these utilities on your Mac.
Equivalent utilities may exist for PCs but I have no experience with them - I suggest https://www.collobos.com
You can also buy this standalone hardware print server, bypassing the need for a computer altogether:
http://www.lantronix.com/it-management/xprintserver/xprintserver.html
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device. -
Cannot print from desktop. I have never set up Ipad to print. I am useless!
Hello. I am a pensioner who is pretty useless at computers/printers etc. Can anyone help? I recently changed broadband supplier and recently set up the printer to "speak " to my desktp (thats my sons language, not mine!) I cannot print? Its a HP Photosmart. I would like to be able to print form my Ipad if possible also.
Thanks you for reading this.GeoffHi Geoff,
What printer model do you have?
If your printer is Airprint enabled (i'll need to model number to be able to check), then it should be relatively simple to be able to print from your iPad.
You just need to ensure that both your printer and iPad are connected to your home wifi network, then when you select options on your iPad, you'll be able to see your printer and print to it.

Yesterday I printed 2 photos from the Photos app. When I tried a third, nothing printed. I have reset my iPad, printer, and router. I have no print jobs in the queue. I cannot print a document. I was able to print a photo from my iphone using HP ePrint, but cannot do the same from the iPad. I am running ios6. I am not sure what else to try.
hi - have you contacted HP? or maybe installed a third party app like printcentral
those are another two options
also have you checked the settings on the ipad - assume that you have
might also be worth a google search too to see if anybody else is having any problems i.e. 'can't print HP Photosmart B210 printer from ios6 ipad?'
hope i don't sound patronising I don't mean to be -
I cannot print from my iPhone5 nor my iPad mini, to a wireless HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m. I can print from my Mac book pro. Is it my settings or the printer that is not set up correctly?
First check to see if its airprint enabled, it will be listed in the first article link. If not, then there are other options listed below.
