Cannot print responses as a PDF

Why am I not able to print the form responses as a PDF? When I click the PDF tab, an UPGRADE window pops up. Yet when I go to UPDATE ADOBE FORM CENTRAL, it shows I have the latest version.  PERPLEXED!  I NEED TO PRINT THESE RESPONSES.

I use a Creative Cloud subscription as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro. The Forms Central was through the Adobe Acrobat. I pay for both.

I don't find one tied to the email address that you use here in the forums. Is it possible that you signed up using a different email address? You need a paid account to save PDF forms. (You've probably heard that FormsCentral is retiring in July, so you won't be able to upgrade online).  If you did sign up for FormsCentral using a different email address, please use that email address/Adobe ID to log in. If you don't have a paid subscription, please let me know, and I can help you get those forms in PDF. Best,Sara If the reply above answers your question, please take a moment to mark this answer as correct by visiting: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7382007#7382007 and clicking ‘Correct’ below the answer Replies to this message go to everyone subscribed to this thread, not directly to the person who posted the message. • Cannot "print" a window as pdf then read it in Adobe Reader; Adobe says the file is damaged and cannot be opened.

Running Firefox 4.0 on an Intel Mac OS 10.5.8. Same problem with Firefox 3.6.16. You can save a Firefox window as a pdf file by using the File dropdown menu and selecting Print. Under Print, you can select PDF, then Save as PDF or Save as Adobe PDF. Firefox will save the file. If you try to open the file you get an error message that the file is damaged and cannot be opened. I did not have this problem in Safari; I followed the same procedures and the pdf file opened fine in Adobe Reader. Why is Reader rejecting the pdf file produced by Firefox when it did not reject the pdf file produce by Safari?

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

  • Cannot print or view some pdf files

    Hi there,
Have a recent issue of not being able to open or print some pdf files. These file can be viewed on-line at their source with Safari however cannot be printed (printer display shows the page is blank). When I save them on desktop and try to re-print, there is an error message appearing on the screen stating the file is damaged and could not be repaired. Is there any solution out there to fix this?
    Thanks in advance

    Open Adobe Acrobat
Click on Edit, click on Preferences on the drop down menu,
    Click on Internet under Categories
Under Web Browser Options, remove the check from the box beside Display PDF in browser
    Click on OK
Close Adobe Acrobat and go back to open the .pdf file trying to be viewed.

  • I cannot print a shipping label pdf file - there is no print button, and when I choose print preview, the page is blank

I used to be able to print shipping labels from Amazon.com. The label image is a pdf, but on the pdf page there is no print button. When I go to file print preview in the main tool bar, the image shows the file name, but no shipping label.

You can't delete pages with Reader, only with Acrobat.

  • Printer cannot print many fonts or pdf's

    Hi
When using my Lexmark laser E322 many fonts that are installed in Fontbook will not print correctly when using Adobe InDesign and PDFs just disappear from the Print monitor after a few seconds. Is there a possible corrupted preference file? Or does this sound like a printer error?
    Thanks
    Enio

    Several things come to mind.
Preferences. Look for a file that's similar to this:
    com.lexmarklaser322.plist Navigate to find it:
MaciintoshHD/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate that file and drag it to the Trash.
Also... the FontBook preference file: com.apple.fontbook.plist Same intructions.
Also, try reinstalling the drivers that came with your Lexmark printer. That alone can fix a myriad of problems.
I see you are runninng 10.4.2 You might consider updating to 10.4.9.
Run Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions. Disk Utility is located here:
    Applications/Utilities
Which PDF software are you referring to? Preview (Mac) or Adobe Acrobat Reader???

  • Cannot print InDesign or PDF files

Upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and cannot print InDesign (CS3) or PDF files on Epson 800. Illustrator and Photoshop files print just fine (as does Word etc.).
Any ideas? All my drivers are upgraded.

    Hi Bob,
    Thank you for your response.
I upgraded both through the "Software Upgrade" and then through downloading the upgrade through the Apple support site. Things do not make sense. If it's a problem with CS3, then why doesn't Acrobat print (I upgraded long ago to 9.0)? And why does Illustrator and Photoshop work? Most mysterious. I'm a very serious user of both Mac and Adobe. Still have my SE and Illustrator 88. This is a first for me.
By clean install, do you mean wiping my hard drive? Would do just about anything to not have to do that.

  • Cannot Print PDF File from IE8 Beta 2

I recently installed Adobe Reader 9 and Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 under Vista 32-bit. When a PDF file appears under IE8, I cannot print the file. The print command shows only a blank page. If I save the PDF file, open Adobe Reader 9 and open this PDF file, I can print the file correctly. Please advise if you have the same issue and possible fixes?
    Thank you...

I have a similar problem. I have Adobe Reader 9 and IE8 Beta 2 on Vista Ultimate, and other pdf drivers as well. When I try to print to any pdf driver in IE8 B2 I get "Access Denied" message box, then when I click OK I guest a script error on line 2037, Char 1, unspecified error, code 0, URL: res//ieframe.dll/preview.js. It occurs with all the pdf print drivers I have including ScanSoft PDFCreate, Quicken PDF printer, and DocuCom PDF printer. If I do print preview and then print, there is no response.
Debugging java scripts is more than I want to get into. Any ideas?

  • Cannot print PDF on HP Designjet T1500

We have a HP Designjet T1500 which is connected to a stand alone PC (Win7 OS). We normally copy files to the flash drives (USB sticks) and used it on the stand alone PC connected to the printer and print. We are doing this to avoid other users on the network to abuse the printer. Although the PC has Adobe PDF Reader, the printer cannot print documents in PDF.
Does anybody has any idea or have experienced the same?
Your response and help will be very much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Magas

    I don't understand your question...
You either print to PDF or print to a printer.

Please advise how to get Apple Mac OSX 10.9.3 withAdobe Reader XI 11.0.07 to print pdf. Able to open the pdf but on selecting print simply comes up with an Adobe red box saying "Cannot print pdf". I believe this is a common problem so expect Adobe have an answer.

Have had same problem with error message "Unable to convert postscript file". No response from Adobe. Even tried their technical support which said they offered no support for free products.  Have found a couple go arounds but no fixes.

Cannot print a PDF file after upgrading to Windows 8.1
I can print anything else from either the Desktop or Start but not a PDF.  No error message but just does not print.
Update: down loaded Adobe Reader which runs on the desktop so when I read a PDF file it now runs on the desktop and I can print it.

I cannot print a PDF from Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Reader.  I tried on both MacBook Pros we have here, both now with Mavericks.  Error message says "Opening printer connection failed.  Unable to open printer connection . . . • CANNOT PRINT FROM ADOBE 8.1.2 PDF FILE TO OLIVETTI ANYWAY

Hi I have had this problem before wiht a laserjet printer and cannot remember how I have solved it.
I am on a Macbook pro running leopard OS 10.5.2 and trying to print a standard pdf from Adobe Acrobat Professional Reader 8.1.2 to an olivetti anyway. I have no other probs printing, and can print this same pdf through preview, but the fonts default.
It goes through as if it is printing then in the printer set up it just stops itself and won't print.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers

I did download new drivers, but the situation gets even more interesting. It is only one file I can't print. I print .pdf files from a particular website quite often. When I started having problems with this one file - I just got stuck there. Well, I went to some of the other "new" pdf files and was able to print those. I still cannot print one particular page. I have tried downloading the file to my hard drive but still could not print. I have decided there is some code in this particular file that my printer cannot compute. I did manage to get it printed in B/W on an HP laser printer. Just is a weird glitch. Thanks for responding.

I'm wondering if there is any way to view the results of the form other than in a table?  Is it possible to print responses one by one in PDF format, or word, etc?  I'd like to create a form for proposal applications, and the spreadsheet format results are nearly unusable for this type of form.

    Hi Nalani500 ,
Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
    1) Go to the response file
    2) Select the response you want to print
    3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

  • Adobe Reader v 11.0.10 cannot print PDF files

    Hello,
My Adobe Reader v11.0.10 running on Windows 8 Pro with Media Center cannot print anymore.
I used to be able to print from Adobe Reader before.
I still can print to all printers using other applications – Word, Excel, Notepad.
I can print a test page on any of my printers without any problems.
I can print PDF files using other PDF viewers (like Foxit reader), but I can’t print from Adobe Reader.
There is no error message on the screen and there is no any error message in the log files.
If I uninstall Adobe Reader and re-install it, then the first time I log on I’ll be able to print once.
But any consecutive attempt to print will fail!
Any ideas what could be the problem?
    Thank you!

    Hello,
I go to File --> Print menu.
    As I always do.
    It used to work before.
I haven't tried "Print as image" option, but I'll try it and post the result!
I will try also unchecking 'Enable Protected Mode at Startup' option under Edit> Preferences> Security (Enhanced)
As I mentioned in my previous post I tried re-installing Adobe Reader - but no luck :
"If I uninstall Adobe Reader and re-install it, then the first time I log on I’ll be able to print once."
I think that the issue is not the particular file - it has something to do with Adobe Reader itself. Maybe it is corrupted????
I'll try again tomorrow and I'll post the result!
    Thank you for your reply!
