Cannot "Publish" a Purchased Web Template

Hi,
I am using a trial of CS3, and when i completed some demo's i
could publish without a problem, creating SWF's of the online
tutorials.
I purchased a Flash Web Template and happily modiied it in
flash so the FLA is different, but when I attempt to publish it the
task bar appears as normal , looks like its doing something, but it
doesn't. No SWF is created.
Any ideas why I can't publish my modified template?

(I also notice the template is V8 and Actionscript 2.0, i
tried selecting V9 and Action Script 3.0 but got loads of
compilation errors for compatability).

I am not too sure about the specific errors which you are getting, But then for WAD running and execution, we can check for the IGS Server connectivity.
It can be checked with Basis Folks. Cause we also had several problems related to WAD and eventually it all turned out to be a Problem with the connectivity to the IGS Server.
igs server is the graphics server which is maintained for all the graphics related to WAD.

Cannot publish album to web gallery, nor to iweb

today, I tried publishing an album to my web gallery and iphoto "quit unexpectedly" then (after the relaunch), I tried going to preferences, which caused it to quit again. nothing I do seems to resolve this (I've restarted, and have also tried deleting the prefs file - numerous times).
then I tried to send the album to iweb - and iweb "quit unexpectedly" as well. even worse, now iWeb won't even launch! (keep getting the "quit unexpectedly" error. (I've tried deleting the prefs file for iweb and iapps as well, to no avail.)
otherwise, iphoto works fine - it's just when trying to send to iweb, publishing to web gallery, or accessing the preferences that it freezes (and quits).
the last time I tried coordinating these apps (and publishing to my web gallery) was a month ago, and everything worked perfectly. could this be related to a bug in a recent software update?
can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I'm terribly frustrated...

Thanks for the link, I just installed the update and rebooted. Unfortunately, the problem persists!
iWeb does not launch at all - I get an 'opening' message, then the "quit unexpectedly" error message appears. here's first part of the report:

As for iPhoto, it launches and works okay unless I click "Web Gallery" or try to open Preferences. Here's the error report (similar to the one for iWeb):

(The irony here is that I used DreamWeaver/Photoshop/ftp upoaders to design and publish my previous sites and, as a new mom, thought I'd save time by taking advantage of Apple's seamless (albeit boxed) software to make a simple and easily-updatable photo site for my daughter. Purchased web template completely displaced in desing view. How to fix it ?

Hi, I've bought html5 web site template by hoping to edit in DW CC but although It was described as "Easy Editable" when I opened in design mode layout was completely displaced. It wasn't possible to find anything and edit. but in live mode everthing seems ok. I've asked to seller this and they said it may displace in editors and you should edit in script mode. Is there any solution to edit this template in desing view ?

Most templates, even ones that are designed in DW, tend to be edited mostly in code. Due to the focus on mobility and responsive design, it is hard to look at things in design view without rendering the additional code that a server would which is the difference between live view and design view.
What I usually suggest for people who do not like to code is to hire someone to get a template into a content management system (CMS) so that end-users can edit the site content in a simple editor. This would keep the code safe and make edits as simple as possible for you.

Cannot publish album into web gallery !

It keeps saying "An error occurred while publishing the album. Request to the server failed."

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try creating a new library, import a few photos and see if you can publish form it. If so, then your old library is damaged. If that's the case you can use iPhoto Library Manager to copy your photos and albums to the new library and keep the comments, keywords and titles intact.
If you can't publish from the new library either log into another account or boot into Safe Mode and try from there. Again, if it publishes OK your account is the culprit. It might be a damaged pref file from some other application that iPhoto interacts with. Here's one way to check that out:
Trouble Shooting Preferences
Go to HD/Users/Your_name/Library. Move the Preferences folder (in its entirety) to the Desktop and make a second copy of it so you have Copy A and B. Now try the the process again and determine if problem is fixed.
If the problem IS fixed, then go to the new Prefs folder that the OS will have created and open it up.
Open Copy B on the Desktop and select all of the items inside. Drag them into the open new library folder. When the Copy window comes up check the Apply to All check box and then click on the Don't Replace button as seen here. That will keep the new files created and bring back all of the others.
If the problem is NOT fixed, trash the new Prefs folder and move the intact Copy A folder back to the Library folder .

Precalculate & Broadcast Web Template to specific Workset/Role

Hi,
I have created a Web Template called Sales_01
I also have created a Workset called Sales_workset_01 and assigned the workset to ROle Sales_manager.
I then published my Sales_01 web template to the SAles_workset_01.
Now, i want to precalculate and broadcast my Sales_01 to the Sales_workset_01.
Somehow I am not able to and only allowed to broadcast to the KM FOlder...
Anyone out there know of a solution or workaround?

That was the first thing that came to mind. I tried publishing to the KM folder, but then could not find any way to link the object in the KM folder to the Role / Workset under my Portal Content.
Any ideas to do this?

Cannot Publish Web Template in SAP EP

I have created and save a web template using the Web Application Designer but cannot publish it in Enterprise Portal 6.0.
In an attempt to publish it, I see a pop up window ``wdttree``, a message ``Bad Index`` and an OK button. Clicking the OK shuts down the WAD.

Error publish web template to broadcaster ...

Hi everybody,
When i publish my web template (in WAD )in the broadcaster, i see the
right display with the possibility to create a New setting.
But when i launch the "Create New Setting", i have the following error:
- Error evaluating information for DASHBOARD (object type BT)
- Cannot generate broadcast setting for current context
Any suggestions ?

First do the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iWeb's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
Next, in Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or Mountain Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

Publishing Web Templates on Portal

Hi Guys,
I have to schedule the precaculated web templates and publish them on the portal. So far so good. I am not able to figure out how will I dynamically set the vairbles in order to schedule the Templates daily. E.g. I need to have a Key date as sy-datum - 1 (yesterday). How will I be able to set it up?

Publishing web templates in static HTML

Hi,
When broadcasting web templates to HTML, must you publish them into the portal or can they simply reside on the BW server as static HTML pages and accessible via a URL?
I ask because I am implementing a dashboard and the web templates should be pre-calculated to be very quick performance-wise.
Second question, If I have two different web templates that I want to precalculate/publish twice (with different selections) how do you define the naming convenstion for the html file names? Eg.
WebTemplateName_Variable1_Variable2_Chart.html
WebTemplateName_Variable1_Variable2_Data.html

I can get a web template to work with the data_mode=static url parameter set, but only when I call up the template alone, without any variable selections in the url. As soon as I set variables via url params, I get the error message: "requested document could not be found". The strange thing is that in the "document overview" of the reporting agent I can see the HTML file does exist for that selection criteria (and the query works in static_hybrid mode, which proves that the url parameter use the correct syntax)! Additionally, I can call up the correct html file directly via the url:
/sap/bw/doc/tmpl/FLDTMPL/LATEST/LATEST_SD011_COMPLAINT_PER_CUSTOMER/SD011_COMPLAINT_PER_CUSTOMER_00001.htm
but not with :

This is on BW3.5. Note 594340 describes the problem, but the fix is only valid for version 3.1.

Workshop 10.1 WSDL - cannot publish generated Web service

I'm trying to create a Web service starting from a WSDL using the doc Web Service Development Starting Points ([url http://edocs.bea.com/wlw/docs101/guide/webservices/conWebServiceDevelopmentCycle.html]http://edocs.bea.com/wlw/docs101/guide/webservices/conWebServiceDevelopmentCycle.html) .
I create a Web service project, import my WSDL into my src directory, click on the WSDL and select Web Services > Generate Web Service.
Workshop generates the implementation class and the JAR file, just like the doc describes.
When I try to publish it to my server in the IDE< however, I get an error :
Error with publish task 'WebServicesProjectBuildTask'.
Web services in WLW101Example_WebServiceFromWSDL_JAXRPC have errors.
java.lang.UnsupportedMethodException: Method not implemented.
Error(s) occurred during publish assembly. No modules will be published.
The operation in the WSDL has been implemented, and the class is pretty simple :

I tested it using Workshop10.0Mp1 and didn't see any issue with publish.
Here are the steps I followed:
1) Create a default webservice project with default facets.(no ear)
2) Drop the business and meta folder and under project/src folder
3) Create a test package under src
4) Right click on the wsdl and choose generate webservice and create it under the test folder
5) Replace the process method implementation with the one you have here
6) Create a 10.0mp1 Workshop server (please make sure you create a workshop server and not wls server) and deploy the app to the server
I was able to run the webservice successfully.
Let me know if I am doing anything different from you.

Problem Publishing WAD Web template in a Browser

Hello everyone,
I have developed a Web template using BEx WAD. When i try to execute the same in my browser. It say page cannot be displayed in internet explorer. I checked with the Basis consultant to see if the port settings were correct. He said everything was OK. Can anyone suggest ay troubleshooting steps i can follow to resolve this issue? Could also use some WAD configuration documents if any available to pass onto the Basis team as they are not well versed with BEx WAD.

You can check the BW WAS configuration using the FM RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET. Also make sure all the BW Bex Services are active in tcode SICF.

Cannot publish to web gallery

I have a dotmac account and the newest iPhoto '08 fully updated
I cannot publish using web gallery
whenever I try to, I get this error message
"An error occurred while publishing the album "albumname." this is not a valid location for this request.
my dotmac account is programmed into my computer and working just fine in every other way. what's going on here?

How long has this gone on? Have you been able to publish successfully previously? Apple has been having problems with their servers for the last several days. My publishing efforts from iWeb and iPhoto have been sporadic, good one moment and bad a short time later only to get good again. Be sure to post your problem to the .Mac and iPhoto feedback sites:

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Cannot set default web template

Hi
I'm trying to set default web template through SPRO -> IMG -> Sap NetWeaver -> B.I -> Settings for reporting and analysis -> Bex Web -> Set standard web template -> Ad hoc analysis.
It works fine in Dev, but in Production the system seems to ignore the setting!
Even when I write a dummy template that doesn't exist I get no error message !

I still have the issue, whatever the place where I force the template, the queries on the portal does not use my specific template.
I tried :
pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bexwebanalyzer
(this one was working before upgrade to netweaver stack 17).
as well as
pcd:portal_content/templates/iviews/sap_bw_report_iview
and
pcd:portal_content/templates/iviews/sap_bi7x_report_iview
none works !

Web Template Publishing in the Portal

I have created web template in Web Application Designer. I can execute it from WAD to the portal.
If I need to open it directly from Portal, How will I be able to open it? How can I save a web template in the portal.
I tried to braodcast it from WAD to portal using Broadcaster I have mandatory variable in my query I am not being able to assign values to it in broadcaster.
