Cannot publish to google calendars

Hello and thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Ok, I tried publishing my iCal to a new Google Calendar they set up in our office (I'm the only one with a mac, the rest are on PC's). I went to Google, selected the calendar, found the URL address and then went back to iCal, inserted the address along with user name & password, and got an error saying the URL could not be found. I copied it directly from the google page and inserted it. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? Please help! Thanks.

Are you wishing to view your Google calendar on your iCal or do you wish to publish your iCal to Google?
Publishing your iCal to Google must be done through a webdav server. iCal Exchange (http://www.icalx.com/) provide this service for free, .Mac is also designed to allow this. Publish your calendar on there and then add a new calendar on Google. Under the URL put the address of your iCal Exchange published calendar.
Going the other way is not too hard. You can get the address of your calendar from Google in iCal format and then subscribe to it in iCal.

  • Cannot access my google calendar since recent upgrade

I operate an iMac. OS 10.6.8. I have used FIREFOX successfully for years. I have placed my google calendar in Firefox--perfect performance even to my Palm Pre Plus. I upgraded FIREFOX to version 6.0.2. TROUBLE! I cannot access my calendar since the upgrade. If I select the icon for FIREFOX, what I see on my screen is:/Screen shot 2011-09-09 at 9.18.03 PM.png--or, LOADING, For slow connections, load read-only view. When I select that, a long delay and I can only view the current month, nor the last month nor the next month nor the WEEKLY view, which is my favorite.

  • I cannot load my google calendar, how can i decrypt the connection in order to have access?

The information about this website says that the page has been encrypted because there is no authorized owner. I need access to my google calendar from work.
How can i decrypt the connection? Is there other way to fix the problem?

Restart holding down the CMD+R keys, launch Disk Utility and erase the HD, quit DU, and restore the OS. On first boot, use the Setup Assistant to do the migration. Details in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.

  • I cannot get my google calendar to load on my I phone

I have my google calendar through a google account.

How can I set this up?  I've tried many options.  Nothing works

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
    https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2659/configure-imap-for-iphone-or-ipad.aspx
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile-mail/imap-server-settings-sln4075.html
    On the iPhone, tap Settings.
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
    Tap Add Account.
    Tap Other.
    Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
    Click Next.
    Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
    Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.
    That’s all!

  • Cannot Connect to Google Calendar in Mail, Contacts & Calendars preferences

I recently obtained a new Mac and am playing with Mountain Lion for the first time. I'm trying to add my Google Apps (custom domain, not @gmail.com) account to the Mail, Contacts & Calendars control panel. I was able to add Mail, Messages, and Notes without any issues, but it's refusing to connect to Calendars & Reminders. When I attempting connecting, it gives me an error...
A secure connection couldn't be established.
Click “Continue” to continue creating the account. You can edit the account later in Calendar preferences if necessary.
So I click "Continue" to... well, continue. Eventually, I've given this error:
There was a problem setting up the account.
Calendar couldn't discover the account settings for the CalDAV server “google.com”.
Just out of curiousity, I went into the Calendar app to directly add my Google account. Doing so also gives me an error:
    Server with Secure Communication Unavailable
Your calendar account isn't on a server that can receive your calendar securely.
If a server isn't secure, others may be able to view your calendar information. To continue searching for your account on servers that may not be secure, and then set up the account if it's found, click Continue.
So I go ahead and click Continue. After waiting some more, I finally get the error...
No CalDAV servers were found for "google.com".
This message appears on the Account Settings sheet where you can add a CalDAV account. If I manually type in the Server Address here (https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user//www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user), Calendar claims it still cannot connect to a secure connection. This time, clicking Continue does add the account. (I'm assuming through a non-secure conncetion.) If I try to edit the Account Settings, it takes me to the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars control panel where Calendars & Reminders for my Google account is now selected.
I can only assume this is a weird bug with Mountain Lion, but needless to say, this is far from the "it just works" mentality I've been use to.
This was not an issue with iCal on Snow Leopard, which is what I'm coming from.

I was having similar issues and thought I would put down what solved my problem.
In "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" I didn't choose "Gmail" I used "Add Oter Account…" as previously mentiond.
Then I chose "Add a CalDav account"
Under User Name: I entered my entire gmail address
Under Password: I entered a new "Application Password" key as generated by Googles two step verification process.
Under Server Address: I tried to use just "google.com" and "www.google.com" neither of these worked - only errors. So I used the address as listed on Google Calender when clicking on settings for my main calendar. There is a link that will give you your calendars private address. I shortened it to:
    www.google.com/calendar/ical/your_gmail_address_goes_here
    Then it worked immediately!

  • Cannot Subscribe to Google Calendar?

My wife and i both have Google accounts: hers is free, mine is Google Apps.
I would like to have her appointments (read-only) in my iPad calendar, in a different color from mine.
I was able to set this up the other way around for her (my appointments  in her iPad calendar in a different color) by getting a private iCal URL from my Google account and using it to create a new subscribed calendar on her iPad.
Unfortunately, the converse does not work.  When I try to create a subscribed calendar on my iPad using an iCal URL from her Google account, iOS (7.04) complains first that it cannot connect via SSL, then if I "Continue", it says that it cannot verify the connection.  If I persist and save the new account, no data is ever populated in the newly subscribed calendar.  I can add the (optional) login parameters from either Google account and/or switch SSL on and off, but to no effect.  In each case, the connection is not verified and no data is populated.
Of course, I can get read-only access to her appointments by sharing her calendar to my Google account, but then they appear in the same color as my appointments.
Why does the iCal subscription work for my appointments on her iPad, and not for hers on mine?  What other options do I have to achieve my stated goal?

  • Cannot delete a Google calendar from my iCal sidebar

I can't seem to delete a calendar created on Google from my iCal sidebar.
Long ago, I created a temporary Google identity, created a calendar under that identity, and subscribed to that calendar in iCal.  Other folks in my church subscribed to the same calendar and we used it for years to keep the church's calendar.
Then the church decided to repeat the process using a disctinct Google identity, and we all started using the second one.  So I deleted my  temporary Google identity, which also deleted the first calendar.  All well so far.    I did get errors at first about Google not responding, but I turned the calendar offline and that stopped the error messages.
Problem now is, I can't delete the first calendar in my iCal's sidebar.  Now that it's deleted from Google proper, I'd  like to delete it from my iCal sidebar as well.  However, when I select either of the two calendars that are/were connected to Google, Edit -> Delete is dimmed.  If I select any other calendar (local or subscribed, but not on Google), Edit -> Delete is lit up.
Anyone have any experience like this?
    --Gil

    Greetings Gil,
I haven't heard of that one.
    Questions:
Does the calendar in question show up in the "Subscriptions" category of iCal?
If you remove all accounts from iCal > Preferences > Accounts and quit and re-open iCal, does the calendar in question vanish? If so, does the calendar come back when you re-input the servers you need into  iCal > Preferences > Accounts?
Can you provide a screen shot of your calendar sidebar.
While you answer those questions, some troubleshooting to try:
Try dragging one of your other calendars above this calendar that won't delete and then quit / re-open iCal and attempt to delete the calendar in question.
    Failing that:
    1. First make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
    2. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
    3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
    4. Launch iCal and test.
If the issue persists at this point:
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
    Hope that helps!

  • Can you sync an iCloud calendar to a Google calendar?

Hi all. I have searched the forum for an answer to my question but haven't found one. Lots of variations though!
I have an iCloud calendar that I set up on my MacBook.  I can access the calendar on my iPad, iPhone etc and all is good.  I have shared this calendar with some friends who also use iOS devices.  They can access the calendar via there iOS devices and all is working well.
What I need to do is share the calendar with friends/colleagues who are not Apple users. I don't want these individual to have edits rights, I only want them to view only.  From going through the forum it seems that with previous verisons of OS X you used to be able to publish a calendar to a webpage. This would be ideal for me!! However it seems that with current version of OS X you cant do this, or not with iCloud calendars anyway? Maybe I am wrong here?
Anyway, I thought that a workaround could be that I could sync the calendar with a Google calendar and then publish the Google calendar online and just share the URL with my friends/colleagues who need to see the information.  However I don't know if this is possible.
If you are reading and know a simpler way of of achieving this then I would love to hear from you.  Basically I have an iCloud calendar that I want to make accessible to lots of people, ideally through a webpage or URL.
    Thanks in advance.

From the Help menu choose Sign Out. This will deactivate the Creative Cloud subscription on the machine.
You are allowed up to two activations with your subscription, so you can have the software on more than one machine if you want.

  • How to use iPhone to sync Outlook with Google calendar?

This is a bit of a convoluted question, but I think there may be an answer using the iPhone as a go between. Here is the issue, I cannot get my google calendar and my Outlook calendar to sync with each other.  I'm using Outlook 2011 on a macbook pro which is using 10.6.8.  The macbook does not have iCloud services on it.  I am also using an iPhone 5 which of course does have iCloud.
Before recently switching to an iPhone, I always used a Blackberry.  I was able to get my google calendar events to appear in my Outlook calendar when I connected the Blackberry to my mac with a cord and selected "sync" in the Blackberry desktop manager.  There were some issues with duplicate events on my BB calendar, but I could deal with that.  For that set up, I had turned everything on to sync with as much as possible, including iCal.
Here is my current question.  Now that I am using the iPhone, is there a way to make google calendar and Outlook calendar sync with each other?  I would think this is possible, because my iPhone and my iCal have all the events from both calendars.  Google is syncing with my iCal, and Outlook is syncing with my iCal.  So, shouldn't the sync work in reverse as well?  Does the iCal only receive events from these two sources but not also "export" events to these calendars as well?
And, is there a fix using either the iPhone or iCal to make both calendars appear in both places, as they do in my iCal and my iPhone?
    Thank you!

In order to be able to order from the U.S. Online Store you need to have a U.S. credit card and the device has to be shipped to a U.S. address.

  • Google Calendar will not print in Firefox 19.0 and adobe reader x when one presses the print button in the popup window.

I have the monthly calendar on screen, click the more button, click print. Another window pops up and when I click the print button nothing happens. I am using Firefox 19.0 and Adobe Reader 10.1.6. The print function works in IE and Chrome.

this solution did NOT work for me. I still cannot print a Google calendar page in Firefox. I can in IE. And I can print Gmail.

  • My iPhone won't sync calendar to iCloud, only to Google calendar, which I've never used. Events from iCloud sync to the phone and to Google.  Huh???

My iPhone 3GS (ios 5.1) won't sync calendar to iCloud, only to Google calendar, which I never authorize or use.  Yet when I entere an event on the iCloud calendar, it syncs to the iPhone (and to Google calendar) just fine.  Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
iCloud cannot sync with Google calendars, so it would seem that you may be using the wrong calendar account. Click on the calendar button in the top right hand corner of the calendar app and check which calendar you are adding your events too.

  • Suddenly I cannot go to my Google calendar in Firefox. I can get there using Explorer. What's the problem?

I have liked Firefox much better than Windows Explorer for the past three years. In the past two weeks, I cannot open Google calendar. I get this msg. "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

  • Google calendar wont publish correctly

I guess no one cares that that publishing breaks the google calendar html code,
but i'm going to keep complaining until someone  acknowledges there is a problem.
here is my calender page in plan view of muse:
I made a separate page that had no content at all called Test.   as you can see it has all the color choices for multiple calendars,   weekly view and and all the calendar features that are in google.    The standard calendar view page,  called Weekly Lessons, has the same html code, and you can see the top part of the calendar and it has the same formatting as in google and Test page.   Test is not included in the menu,  but I put a button on the visitors page.  to link to the Test page.    the first time I previewed in the browser it looked ok.  but after I used it a couple of times it changed to the poor display features that are shown in the published web site.
THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY A BUG IN MUSE.  IT IS NOT THE HTML GOOGLE CODE, AND IT IS NOT ANY DESIGN OF MY PAGES AS  THE "Test"  page has no content except the html object.    so come on, Adobe,
this is a problem.  it used to work in other versions.  you have changed something that makes it break.
maybe it is ok in the CC version.   althought I have been in the muse beta program  for over a year,
I can't get access to  the CC trial.  and the 17'th is very near and i'll be upgrading at the stroke of midnight or when it  goes live.
here is the home page on business catalysts:
    http://farandawayfarms.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
here is the normal calendar page:
    http://farandawayfarms.businesscatalyst.com/weeklylessons.html
here is the visitors page with the test menu button to link to the "Test" page that is not in the normal menu bar.
    http://farandawayfarms.businesscatalyst.com/visitors.html
I would be happy to send my *.must file to someone, anyone, but I can't attach a file and I don't have a normal
email address for support .  I can also put in drop box for someone.
I would really like some help here please.    there is definitely a problem.   but I guess this is legacy code now.
maybe you could at least send me the link to get the cloud version to try.  I'm ready to go live with this site for a customer, and the lesson calendar is very important and has to work.
thank you in advance for your support

here is my latest info after investigating on google claendar support forum.
and mostly some dumb luck.    LOL  ..
posted on google calendar support forum:
i am using the html tool in google calendar to customize  calendar  and copy the updated HTML code  to imbed the calendar on a website.
i embed this calendar more than a year ago and it still works fine today.   it can be seen at
http://www.farandawayfarms.com/barn_calendar.html  this is a godaddy website with custom html code, but that is not relevant.
I am build a new website for the same customer , ready to go live except for a calendar display issue,
here is the same calendar on a new web site :
    http://farandawayfarms.businesscatalyst.com/weeklylessons.html
note that in the latter web page,  the formatting lost the week default, tabs, color assigned to calendars, and maybe some other little items.
I have spend weeks, getting new calendar html code, putting it into new html objects, new web pages,  blank web pages,
over and over again.  in adobe muse,  dreamweaver and plain pages, and also have been complaining to Adobe Muse support forum for several weeks about this formatting problem.
when working today,  I discovered that if I copy and paste the html code from google into my web  software ( Adobe Muse or Adobe Dreamweaver )  and then view the page in the browser view in the software,  or publish the whole site with the new code,
I get the correctly formatted calendar and all is good in the world.   As soon as I log out of  the google calendar account,
the correct formatting is lost and is defaulted to monthly view, no color,  no tabs and other problems.
I have repeated this trial,  a second and it is true. the calendar  exported HTML is Good, if I am logged in the google calendar , and it changes to some other views, features and not what I want after I log out of Google Calendar.   in order to fix it,
I have log back in to Google calendar, get the code, and paste it into the web development  tool all over again.
the odd part is that the web site I built a year ago always  displays the calendar OK.    so what is changed???
how do I fix this.   after weeks of wasted effort,  I"m very very sure that this is a Google BUG.
    PLEASE HELP ME.
thank you very much for  any help.

  • Firefox 5.0 cannot complete the action of attaching a document to a Calendar Event in Google Calendar, while internet explorer and chrome can.

When using Firefox 5 i cannot complete the action of attaching a document (google doc or uploaded doc) to an event in Google Calendar. This action does work correctly in ie and chrome, so it seems to be a compatibility issue. When i get as far as selecting the attachment the script seems to stop. Even "cancel" is un responsive. I have to reload the tab to move on.

Firefox uses that loopback connection to communicate with the Software Security Device. That includes the Password Manager and secure connections.
