Cannot query LDAP on Node2

Hi,
We have a clustered IronPort C370. I have created a new LDAP query for the cluster to query my new domain.
I can do a successfull query on Iron1 (Cluster Mode) but cannot query the same LDAP on Iron 2 (Cluster mode).
What could be the issue? Appreciate your help.

Hi Andreas,
I have fixed the issue. Node 2 is routing to different firewall. I have added a route to the new firewall and its now working.
Thanks

I have 3 data blocks. The contro data block have document type and document number if we come to new record(I have written execute query for both header and detail part) the header block will show the detail of the documnet header(Header Details) and detail block will show the detail part.
But my problem is when new record instance only the header block is querying and detail block is not querying and giving an error message(*FRM - 41105 You Cannot query records without a saved parent record*)!!
    Plz help me!!
    Thanks in advance,

yea header tables PK is refered in the details table.
and i have master record created already and have the detail record for those master records in the table.
i want to query the detail record related to that master when we select a document number and document code in the control block.
Its querying the master detail relevent to that header and giving this error messge while quering the detail record..

  • Querying LDAP based on a timestamp

How do I query ldap server for entries that are modified after a particular interval. The >= <= usage in filter expression is giving a syntax error. Should I use extensible matching rules ?
    Thanks,
    Ravi

Yes but you modifytimestamp must be indexed and it is not the case by default in oracle.........
You must run a unix shell script to recreate index.

  • Cannot query in forms when using headstart menu

When we generate a menu from desinger6i and attach it to the forms we cannot

We have set back the original objectlibrary and generated again. This does not

    Please help.

    Daud,
Could you give more details on your problem?
    - designer version
    - developer version
    - headstart version & additional patch numbers
    - did you get the headstart demo up and running, does the problem occur there also?
    - if not, can you generate the headstart demo components from designer to reproduce the error?

  • SQL Developer - cannot query collections

    Hi,
I have a problem with my SQL Developer that cannot query on objects with collections. I get the same error when trying to query these DB objects.

However when I am using PL/SQL Developer I have no problem to access the objects.
I am using SQL Developer Version 2.1.1.64 with the letest jave SDK on windowns XP.
Please let mw know how to fix it.
    Thanks in advance.

I already posted my problem in the SQL Developer forum but I see that this forum is more active and many here probably use the SQL Developer so they might know the solution to my problem.

  • Cannot start ldap after drop ODS,ODSSM and impdp from last night dump file.

    Hello Experts,
I have daily export (use expdp) for ODS and ODSSM schemas on new 11.1.1.5 OID environment. I am testing to use ldapadd to add entries (for Net Service only) from old version (10.1.5).
During the ldapadd test, there are some errors and I fix these errors on ldif file. I try to do a clean load. So, I stop the ldap, drop schema (ODS, ODSSM), use impdp to import these two schemas with a good dump file.
But I cannot start ldap again. I know the dump file contains some status for running ldap. How to clean the status after impdp completed?

  • EA2 - Cannot connect LDAP-authenticated users in 10.1 and 10.2, OK in 9.2

First, the relevant versions and such:
    SQL Developer 1.5.0.52.03 (aka EA2)
    Oracle client 10.2.0.1
    Oracle database 9.2.0.6, 9.2.0.7, 10.1.0.5, 10.2.0.2, 10.2.0.3.
    Hosts: Linux x86, Solaris
Most of the users in my databases are set up as global users (i.e. authenticated via LDAP). I've found that in 9.2.0.6 and 9.2.0.7, I can make connections of the basic type for global users as well as database-authenticated users.
In any 10g database I've tried (see the versions above), database-authenticated users work fine, but for connections with the global users in the same databases I receive ora-01017. I've tried both basic connections and advanced connections, supplying a thin JDBC string, with the same result. I have verified that the password is correct. The pattern persists across server OSs (Linux and Solaris).
I cannot make TNS connections at all, but that seems to require an 11g client and has been documented in an enhancement request separately.
If anyone has advice on this I would be happy to hear it. Thanks.

I should probably add that I am able to make successful connections via sqlplus and other tools (SQL Navigator) with the users that fail to connect in SQL Developer.

  • How to query LDAP server and get DB Service names?

Hi, before making a connection to an Oracle database, if i want to get list of Databases available,
i could use OracleClientFactory (and CreateDataSourceEnumerator and GetDataSources) to get list of tnsnames from the local tnsnames.ora file
Now, if i instead want to query the LDAP server with a given context and get the DB Service list,
how can i do that using ODP.NET?

  • Query LDAP to XML

I am having trouble using the Query Multiple LDAP to XML component. I have it configured right(?) in the workflow. I am trying to retrieve a couple of attributes about the user who is logged in. For now, I have a text box with an invoke button on my form to simulate the action of getting the logged in user.
In my process, if I hardcode a user in or if I invoke the process via the Components label it runs fine and returns the correct XML. If I try to invoke the web service via my form, I receive an "error attempting to read from file".
I have never queried the LDAP before and I am a little confused. Could anyone offer some help?

I have actually disabled the security for that service. I am thinking the problem is that the LDAP server has some sort of block on web service calls. Could that be the issue? All of my other web services (configured the same exact way) function just fine, and running the query in LiveCycle Workbench works fine. That leads me to believe that something is stopping the WSDL connection.

  • IdM 6.0 SPE SP1 querying LDAP for changenumbers

We are using IdM 6.0 SPE SP1 to manage creates and updates to a Sun One Directory Server 5.2. In looking at the access logs, we are seeing lots of LDAP queries for cn=changenumbers. What is changenumber being used for? We are not using ActiveSync or any other sync.

    Answer courtesy of IDM Engineering:
"Changenumbers" is used for storing the lastMod counters when using Service Provider Edition. Obviously, this entry is read frequently to verify that the cache is up-to-date (i.e. by comparing the lastMod counters in the cache and the entry).
You shouldn't worry about the performance hit. This is a base object search (i.e. it can only return at most 1 entry)

  • Cannot query v$database in a function ?

Hi, probably a simple explaination for this...
I'm trying to implement a solution using the flashback feature to roll back a table if a process flow hits errors.
I have defined a function that tries to return the CURRENT_SCN from V$DATABASE but it says "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" when I try to deploy from the code editor.
I can get the same code to work fine against a test table I have.
Anything special I need to do before I can query V$DATABASE ?
I can issue the same select statement from Oracle SQL Plus and it works ok.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi,
I think you have no select permission on this view. In a function you have the same permissions as the user who created this function and you have no permissions granted by role - only direct granted to the user.
This is the same for functions and procedures.

    Detlef
