Cannot Re-Activate Phone

I had to restore my phone after installing the new software upgrade. Well it was restored and now I have to re-activate my phone. Well everytime I plug it into my computer, and itunes comes up, it tries to connect but everytime an error message comes up that says:
"we could not complete your request. the requested resource was not found. there was an error in the itunes store. please try again later."
Ive been trying for the past 2 hours, and Im without a phone right now, is anyone having the same problem? Any idea how to fix this?

I don't know where my previous post went. I posted while booted into OSX via Safari, verfied my post was actually posted, rebooted to bootcamp in XP, checked my post there in Internet Explorer, verified it, now it is gone.
Anyway, my last post explained that I have the same problem as above, I needed to reactivate and can't. I said that I was going to boot into Windows XP via bootcamp and try reactivating it there, which I did and it worked, it came right up, there was no process actually it just wanted to know the name of my iPhone and then my existing number came up.
I then booted back into OSX and it shows up fine for me.
So for those with bootcamp or possibly access to another computer with iTunes try re-activiting it there, my guess is there is a bug in iTunes and it is referencing a old iPhone file preventing the reactivation.

This means that either the SIM is defective, or the phone is locked to a different carrier than the one the SIM is for. What is the exact message you see?

The activation servers are probably overloaded with everyone trying to update to iOS 7 today. You might need to wait and try again later.

Receiving message cannot activate phone or words to that effect. Phone has been is use for years. Can receive a call but cannot make call or access other features.

You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. Sorry no, more than likely you bought a stolen phone, especially if you can't contact the seller.
Apple can't do anything to help you wipe or remove.

Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?

I had Adobe Premiere 9 on my laptop...Then we bought a new desktop computer and I put it on there..After 2 weeks the new computer died..We took it back and they gave us a new one...Which means that I cannot de-activate that computer and put it on the new new one..(Hope that makes sense)...Called for support and all he would do is charge me $200 to fix it...CRAZY!!! I am now trying to back up my data to iTunes but I cannot get the phone to turn on. I have it plugged into my computer monitor but it just slowly flashes the Apple symbol. Any ideas on how I can get it to power up for the backup?

Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

Itunes displays a message saying "there is no SIM installed in the phone you're trying to activate" even if there is the same SIM that was working minutes before.
The SIM works on a different phone I tested it.

“Could Not Activate EDGE” error message Update ...
Well it’s going on day 6 and still sporadic to no EDGE on my iPhone. At one time, it was thought to be a defective iPhone – since my partner’s iPhone works just fine.
After over three hours on the land line with AT&T and Apple, I was sent to the local Apple store for a replacement. Of course, as soon as I walked into the Apple store my iPhone worked just fine. ;-( The local store replaced my iPhone and suggested I go home and activate the phone as a NEW iPhone, that way if there was a bug in my data it would not carry over to the new phone. Did that and well… still sporadic to no EDGE. By the way, I have the Big White “E” to the right of the 5 bars and AT&T .
AT&T said last week they has “Software” issues in my area, but the CSR I talked to did not know what the issues were or if they were the cause of my problems. He did say they would call me back today to see how my iPhone was doing, but alas, no call back.
When I’m next to my partner, trying to access the same feature, his iPhone is just so fast. Mine hangs up, draws out and finally I get the error message, “Could Not Activate EDGE”. I am updated to version “1.1.4(4A102)”. New (refurbished) iPhone direct from Apple.
I remember reading a while back about some problems others had when they upgraded to from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4. I never had those problems, but it sure looks like they may have started. Does anyone remember what the problems with 1.1.4 were, what was done if anything to correct them, and best of all any suggestions?
By the way, this is Seattle, not some small – out of the way place where connection and signal strength is expected to be second rate. Also, I had full function of my iPhone from the day I bought it in June 2007, all the way up to Thursday March 20, at 2120.

The solution would have been to back up your photos to your computer before the screen broke.

I just "upgraded" my iPhone with the new software. As a low vision person, your phone was always previously helpful. I now discover that I cannot use the phone easily. The font has been changed to a very narrow typeface and the greyscale has been altered to reduce contrast. The background is now grey as well rather than white. The accessibility options permit only three choices. First, increase type size. With the the low greyscale, thin typeface, increasing type size makes it HARDER to read. There is no option for contrast enhancement. Third, the background switch options suffers from the same deficit as the white background. The third choice is to enhance brightness but without the option to change contrast, this is useless. Am I missing something? Can this be fixed? How? When? Are you planning a similar negative "update"/change to other devices?

I am having the same problem. I have gone through every setting, set the bold font, contrast, larger font....everything I could find in any post to try and help - and between the new color scheme that makes it virtually impossible to use the pictures of my grandchildren as background (the picture colors now become the theme colors - which now match the colors of many of the "flat" icons...) I am finding the phone very difficult to use--espeically things like the calendar which has now become very hard to "see" and use. If I can't revert this thing to iOS6, I may have to get a different phone.
