Cannot re-download previous purchases.

Hi,
I recently deleted audiobooks I had purchased from itunes but I now wish to download them again.  They appear in my account history but when I try to redownload them again there are no purchases available to select.  Any ideas?
Thanks,
FreeRangeRecords

Sorry, but audiobooks cannot be redownloaded. As is the case with movies, Apple's apparently not been granted the permission to allow re-downloads of audiobooks. If you didn't keep a backup of the audiobooks you deleted, you'll probably have to buy them again, though you can contact the iTunes Store:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and plead your case for an exception to be granted.
Regards.

    Hi hgratz,
Considering 'invalid serial number' error for Acrobat 9, I would suggest you to please refer the KB doc link mentioned below:

Let me know if that helps.

i changed my credit card on my apple id and now i cannot download previous purchases?
the songs appear on lightgray color on my itunes but i cannot play or download them again.

    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If you can't log into Settings>iTunes and App stores with your new ID them mean there is a problem. Try restting the password and try to sign in again.

  • Cannot download previously purchased music

I am trying to download previously purchased music, Darius Rucker True Believer album, to my iPhone 5. I've tried using my LTE connection and WiFi. When I click on the cloud icon, it spins for a few seconds then stops. If I try to stream the song it just goes to the next song that's actually on my iPhone. I get no error message or prompt to sign in with my credentials. Having the same issue with a few other songs. I've downloaded updates and podcasts today so I know my connection is working.
I am not using iTunes Match.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    OK.
Not sure what your question is.  The error message explains it pretty well.

If you didn't make a back-up of your music/movie purchases to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Products may only be downloaded once; after being downloaded, they cannot be replaced if lost for any reason. Once a Product is purchased or rented (as applicable) and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage" iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once If you have an iPod that still has any of your purchases on it you'll find details in this article on how to transfer them to the computer: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer Purchased applications can be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store Failing this, you could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on this link it'll take you to the support/contact page: Customer Service - iTunes Store Support You might also want to check out these pages for future reference:

I have downloded ITunes to a new laptop and signed in this let's me download previous purchases in to the librery but can't get the films I have bought quite a lot over time any idea how I can get them ???

    You cannot.
You buy one and only one download of movies.  it is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
Copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

  • HT201272 Error in connection when downloading previously purchased music. Help please!

I'm trying to download previously purchased music onto a new authorized computer, but for a number of songs (1 in 10 approximately), I continually get the message that the connection cannot be established.
In my Library, these songs cannot be played.
However, when I go back under Itunes Store > Purchased - beside every song (regardless of whether it was successfully downloaded or not), it says Downloaded. So I can't download them again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ability to redownload varies from country to country, the US having most options currently:

If you think you should have more optons check your country is correctly set in iTunes.

  • Is there away to download previously purchased audiobooks?

Is there a way to download previously purchased audiobooks?

Depending on the situation an e-mail to Apple may help you. I had a similar issue where I had accidently deleted one of the 'parts' of my audiobook and was unable to retrieve it. I used the "Express Lane" feature on the Apple website, which essentially involved filling in a short form on what the issue was. I received a reply within about 18 hours saying that a new copy had been placed in the 'downloads' section of my iTunes ready for me to download! Problem solved! I'm not sure if the response will differ if you wilfully deleted your audiobooks as it says you cannot redownload audiobooks somewhere in the iTunes Store terms and conditions.
Nonetheless, I'd definitely say it's worth a go. Safe to say I am very pleased as I thought I was going to have to shell out another £17 to finish listening to the story!
I hope this is of some help to you (or anyone else who may have this problem)!

How do I download previously purchased albums from iTunes when the album has either disappeared from my computer or the tunes are not playable?  The albums show as purchased on the iTunes store, but not available to download to my authorized device.  I also have albums that appear in my library, but are not able to be added to my iPod from my computer

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

I never had this problem before the 10.5 update.  I have emailed their help panel numerious times and they never do anything that remedies the problem??  I only have one computer and one ID I just dont understand what the problem is. I use a 3G connection to download music and sometimes the songs are not completely downloaded too and when I cant redownload them its like a waste of money.. I am so discouraged!!! Has any of you had this problem or know what I can do to fix this problem?? Thanks!!!

    Hi Bander Bunny!
I have a couple of articles that should be able to help you troubleshoot this issue a little further. You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes first. This has to be done in a specific manner, and this article can help you do that:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
Another option is that you may want to try syncing your iPod nano manually. Here's is an article that pertains to manually managing the content of your iPod nano:
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1535
It's also possible that this issue resides with your iPod nano. Here is a website that will help you troubleshoot the iPod nano:

  • How do I download previous purchases from the itunes store to my i tunes account speciffically Audiobooks more than 1 year old? They don't show up in my purchase history.

I have been trying to download previously purchased Audiobooks from the itunes store to my new computer and ipad. I tried calling the apple help line but they want me to spend $69.99 for the help plan. these purchases are over a year old and on my old ipod now i want them on my new devices. I am starting to get very irritated!!  please help.

Are you running the most current version of iTunes? If you are, you should be able to go into the iTunes Store, and click on Purchased under the Quick Links. (You have to be signed on, and the computer has to be authorized to do this). Once you have selected the Purchased from the Quick Links, you should see a tab for Books - your audiobooks should show up there and be available for downloading.
This is all assuming that you sync'd those books to the iTunes library on your computer. If you have not, you will need to sync the iPod first....
    Cheers,

Firstly, I purchased my first iPhone a few years ago, since then there have been a lot of apps released, a lot which I downloaded for free, tried and deleted from both my phone and my iTune 'Apps' Panel. What bothers me is when I do get a new iOS device, iPad and/or iPhone 5, and I don't want to just copy the back-up of my current iOS device to the new one, then to get the apps I want I will have to scroll through countless useless 'trash' applications in my purchase history to 'cloud download' the ones I want.
Just sync the apps you want from your computer. You don't need to redownload them directly on the iPhone Purchased list.
Will Apple be employing such a feature, a 'permanently delete/un-purchase' feature?
    Dunno.
