Cannot re-install Creative Cloud on Windows PC

Creative Cloud stopped working on my user desktop.  Uninstall and reinstall attempts fail.  If I create another USER and logon to that account I can install and use CC fine.  How do I completely remove Creative Cloud from my standard USER logon account.  It seems that something more than an uninstall is required to completely remove my Creative Cloud profile and/or what ever is creating the re-installation issues.
thoughts?

Chuckpen in what way are you unable to use the Creative Cloud Desktop application under your current user account?  Do you receive a specific error?  What operating system are you using?

Navigate to C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old.

  • Cannot re-install Creative Cloud!

    Hello,
I recently had restore the system of my PC to a previous date (2-3 weeks ago)
CC then stopped responding, so I try to re-install it, but there is no way to do it!
I downloaded the latest version, launched the setup, and after a  dozen of minutes (as the progess bar reaches the middle of ots course) it reports an error : (this is translated from french) "A problem prevented the program from runing correctly.  Windows will close this program and let you know of any available solution"  (And guess what... Windows does not inform me of any solution!)
    Thanks for helping!

  • Cannot log into creative cloud on Windows 8

I have researched how to do so and found out that you need to find the OOBE file and rename it
(the "opm_old" file. but i do not have this file)
the creative cloud app goes to the email page then once i try to log in it goes back to the beginning "log in here" page.
since i dont have the correct file to rename and then restart the app i have no idea what to do!
if you know of a way to fix this i would be thanful for the advice.

  • Unable to install Creative Cloud in Windows 8.1

I've also tryed installing Adobe Applications Manager as part of a potential fix, however get the same to responses. One is that some of the files can;t be opened due to sucurity issues
The other tells me I need to run it as an Administrator, which I already am
I spent 20 mins with Adobe support and they couldn';t figure it out. I'm not overly tech savey, but think the associated errror may be 12180. Can anyone help with this?

    Hi Larkwood,
As per the screen shot I can only say that we are struggling with the permissions on the machine where you are installing the product . Can you please try and see if you are the admin on the machines ? Also, please try and create a new Admin account and then try using the product .

  • Failed to install Creative Cloud desktop error code 1 Windows 8.1

I just recently tried to begin a trial of creative cloud in order to get access to photoshop. I really need photoshop for my school because of how powerful it is and the tools is offers. A couple weeks ago I tried to download and install creative cloud for windows 8 64-bit, and the download begins, but once it reaches around 50%, it raises an error message saying "We've encountered the following issues: Creative Cloud desktop failed to install (error code 1)". I was having problems with the internet at the time so I just naturally assumed it was the cause. So I went ahead and gave it a couple of days before I tried again. When I tried again I received the same error message at the same time. I continued to look around for a solution and trying it everyday but I have had absolutely no luck with it, and honestly am getting quite frustrated with it. I have looked everywhere for a solution, I tried the adobe clenup tool, I have checked to make sure I don't have any previous versions of adobe products on my computer, and even tried installing it as an admin in safe mode, and still nothing. I have no idea what to do next, but I know that I have to get ahold of photoshop, one way or another, and it must have the professional tools included in the creative cloud edition. Please tell me there is a simple solution and I have been blind this entire time. If there is no solution, can someone direct me to another software similar to photoshop that has access to the plug-in dDo? (I am in game development and have heard how powerful dDo is and have been dying to use it. I have also been anxious to get photoshop, but it doesn't appear to be possible without the creative cloud desktop app).

You'll have to upgrade your operating system first.
Most, if not all, Cloud apps require at least OS X 10.7.

  • I cannot install Creative Cloud or download new CC applications. What is the fix?

I cannot install Creative Cloud or download new CC applications. What is the fix?

    I am on Windows 7 - 64bit.
I can not download the new Creative Cloud App from online in the Download Center.
When I try to by clicking on download, it opens the old Adobe Application Manager and Creative Cloud is not there to chose to install.
I was able to install most of my CC applications through the Adobe Application Manager.
I am unable to get Acrobat installed though. The Adobe Application Manager will download Acrobat Pro XI and extract it, but it has a little yellow ! sign that says Installation Failed.
If we can get the new Creative Cloud app installed, maybe I can get Acrobat Pro XI installed afterwards.
When I click the yellow error sign it gives me a web page with the following message:
