Cannot re-install Illustrator on 64 bit Windows8

I am trying to re-install CS 5 on a 64 bit Windows 8 machine and all products except Illustrator install fine. I am getting a fatal error regarding 'conflicts in the selected payloads' and another error relating to 'required common fonts installation *64'. I have tried several times, completely removing all other installed Adobe products and also using the creative suite cleaning tool but it fails everytime.

Thanks Mylenium, but how do I know which fonts I have the problem with as they are not mentioned individually in the log file? Also, are you referring to the permissions on the folders: Program Files > Common Files > Adobe > Saved Fonts and Program Files (*86) > Common Files > Adobe > Fonts (and FontsRecommended)? Or are there others I should be checking, e.g. does the Windows > Fonts folder also require full Read/Write access?
Lastly, is it just the user I am running the install as that needs the full access or is it also the 'Windows Installer? Sorry, I don't know anything about security and thought that as long as my user profile was setup as Administrator I could do anything.

The page that is provided to download iTunes 12.1 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615) points to another page (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) in which it is indicated that the following is required:
64-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit installer
Where can this installer be downloaded? It seems that it has to be installed before downloading iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit)

No it's not some separate pre install but it does sound like that, its just a poorly written way of saying to download the 64 bit version not 32 bit. Point to note my experience is that using google chrome to get the link will be problematic, use another browser such as Microsoft Explorer. Good luck.

I am able to install the rest of the CS5.5 Master collection without any issues, but I receive the following error message when trying to install Illustrator:

Restarted the computer and re-installed the entire Adobe Suite but received the same error message again. Adobe Flash professional runs fine also, so from what I have read at Installation error DW050, DW020 | CS5.5 | Windows the adobe flash player error is irrelevant.

CF10 on Windows server 2008 (64bit): 32-bit CF cannot be installed, but 64-bit can.

Hi, I have exhaused my research and ways of fixing this issue.
I have a Windows Server 2008 (64-bit).
I am able to install 64-bit CF10 on it and CF websites run just fine.
On the same machine, I have a ASP website that must be in run in 32-bit and within this website there are some ColdFusion pages. So I have to install CF10 32 bit. So I uninstalled CF10 64bit.
When installing CF10 32 bit, I always got error message:
Cannot configure IIS connector. Enable the required option ASP.NET, ISAPI Extensions and ISAPI Filter in IIS under Windows Features and try again.
I did lot of online research and found RELATED posts, but none of them worked for me. Basically, in my case I have the IIS following installed

ISAPI Filter
ASP.NET
CGI
but I alway got the above error message. Cannot think of other reasons.
Any help is really appreciated!!! I have been working on this thing for the past three working days.

I saw your post which is similar to the problem I'm trying to solve. I'm not sure if I need to post a new topic, but I thought just add it to your post.
I installed CF10-64bit on Windows 2008 server (64 bit). When I opened the CF admin, it gave me an error - HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error. The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. Module: IsapiModule, Handler: cfmHandler, Error Code: 0x800700c1. After searching for solution in the internet, I finally made it work after changing the DefaultAppPool which is used by the CFIDE in the advance settings, the "Enable 32-bit Applications" to False.
Now, my problem is I have an ASP application which requires that the application pool advance settings must be set to True for "Enable 32-bit Applications". I created another application pool for this application. It woks fine. However, this ASP application calls some CF pages and I'm having a problem because the CF10 is set to use a different application pool with diferent setting for "Enable 32-bit Applications".
In order for my application to work, it seems that I need to install the CF10 32 bit version. Am I right? Or is there a work around for my issue?

I Have MacBook Pro Retina display 13 inch dual-core i5 2.4GHz 8GB 256GB, When i'm installing windows 7 on Bootcamp show message error windows 64 bit cannot be installed i need to advise me a solution to this case ???? Mac OSX 10.9.1

Win 7 and 8 require a min of 20Gb but this assumes a minimum install and no other software.
If youre looking at adding other stuff then you need to increase it.
When you say youve selected a private space did you follow the correct proceedure to install by using the bootcamp assistant. Think about file format for the drive before you start as you have a couple of options.
NTFS are what is normally required by Windows but this will prevent you copying files too/from OSX
FAT will allow you to copy files between windows OSX
From memory I used FAT and then OSX/Windows converted it to NTFS during the process so I dont think you can ultimately use the drive from OSX unless you use a Virtual set up.
You may have set the drive up wrong ie set it up for 32bit or a wrong format for the 64bit windows system to use

It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly.

Cannot get Photoshop Elements 10 Trial to Install - Windows 7 64-bit

I cannot get Photoshop Elements 10 Trial to Install - Windows 7 64-bit. I downloaded the trail of Photoshop CS6 just fine. I am trying to download the trial of Photoshop Elements 10. I get the adobe installer window and I login in and select my PSE 10 Trial and the installation begins and I have it saved to my desktop. When the installation finishes nothing happens. There is a Photoshop Elements folder on my desktop but it is empty. I have tried a couple of time with the same result.
Any suggestions?

Hi Ken,
I apologize for not making myself clear. What I meant by "saving to desktop" was when I I went to download the the trial of PSE 10 the install window will ask me where I want to save the file. It is defaulted (highlighted) to save to "my documents" but I selected to save the file to my desktop. I tried to install the trial of Photoshop Elements 10 again and this time it did install and is working.

Cannot install Illustrator CS5 on a Mac: Keep getting exit code 6 error

I have been having trouble installing CS5 Design Premium on Mac OS X Version 10.7.5 all day. Having been reading forums and finally was able to get everything to install (except Illustrator) by uninstalling everything, running Mac CS5 Cleanup Utility, then reinstalling. Still cannot install Illustrator for some reason. Tried contacting Adobe Online chat but they won't help me because CS5 is no longer supported. Keep getting Exit Code 6 (see below). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Installed WIndows 7 64 bit, but I cannot use buit-in iSight

I tried to install "BoothCamp64," but some kind of issue occurs and cannot run program...
I try to figure out by reading most of related topics, but I still cannot find out to solve my problem.
Do anyone know what should I do to use built-in iSight?

I installed Win 7 32 bit using bootcamp, and the windows notification center (or what ever it is called) informs me that there is an issue with the built-in iSight camera driver, and directs me to a link on Apple's website to download a new driver. The driver is not there as far as I could tell, but I suspect that it will be shortly.
I personally have had no issues, I don' ever use the iSight camera anyhow, but it is important to remember the Win 7 is not officially supported in BootCamp yet, so there may be a few quirks while using Win 7 until it is officially supported.
Overall, the only issue I have experienced in Win 7 is that the volume is too low. Other than that it runs much smoother and faster than XP ever did on my MacBook (or any Windows machine I ever owned for that matter).

When I installed Illustrator CS3 at the first time, I didn't complete it and closed it. While I installed it again, it said "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I was be stopped on this step, so I deleted the Illustrator CS3 from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers without clicking it to uninstall. And I deleted other Illustrator CS3 files. After that, I tried to reinstall Illustrator CS3 again, but it kept to say "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3".
I cannot find any Illustrator in my MAC. What is wrong? How can I install Illustrator again? Should I format the computer and install all the applications again?

On the Adobe site probably under support do a search for Adobe CS 3 Clean Up Script.
Before running the script read the instructions al the instructions first, do not assume you understand from reading the first sentence. There are some files that are not so obvious that are necessary for activation and they are probably still around but they can only be removed by the script.
Next time you will have to read the instructions.
The only other ways around this is the do an archival reinstall of your system or if that does not work a complete reinstall of your system. Running the script is the easier and better way to do this but you must read the instructions completely first.

Cannot Install Illustrator CS5.5 - Mac Lion

I bought CS5.5 Production Premium and have tried unsuccessfully to install it about a dozen times now. After searching the forums I've tried a wide variety of things to get the install to work, but no matter what, when the installation is complete, Illustrator hasn't been installed. The errors I get depend on the actions I've taken before the install. I've tried uninstalls, repairing permissions, deleting folders, installing in safe mode, installing Illustrator separately... nothing has been successful.
I'm on a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM running Lion 10.7.1 (Installing off of disks)

Try this solution and let me know if it works.
Open on Finder.
Click on Go Menu > Go To Folder.
Type in /Library/ hit Return.
Find the folder ColorSync.
Inside ColorSync folder find and delete the folder named Recommended.
Once the Recommended folder is deleted try to install the software.

The extension cannot be installed, it requires illustrator

I installed Adobe Extension Manager and enable Exchange and followed the directions from the website page: http://pazzles.com/support/electronic-cutters/inspiration/illustrator-plugin/ to try to apply a plug-in for this die-cutter machine I purchased. When I double click the pazzlescutcontrol_csxx file, Adobe Exchange pops up and I get the error "The extension cannot be installed, it requires Illustrator." But like I said, I already have Illustrator through Adobe Creative Cloud. I've search on this forum and through Google, so I may have overlooked the answer to this, but I didn't see anything. I'm not sure what I need to do to fix this/make this work. I'm also posting this in the company Pazzle's forums, but I wasn't sure if anyone else has had a similar problem. Thanks in advance!

1. This extension doesn't specify the version requirement for the "product" elements in its mxi file (The version string is empty). The version must be specified.
2. In the "file" elements of the mxi file, CS5, CS5.1 and CS6 are specified. So even if the first error is fixed, the plugin will not be copied for Illustrator CC or CC2014.

Cannot install Windows 7 32-bit using Boot Camp

I have one of the new iMacs (late 2012) and I can't install Windows 7 32-bit using Boot Camp. Whenever I try to being the installation using the Boot Camp Assistant, I always get the following message: "Need 64-bit Windows installation USB drive or DVD. Boot Camp only supports 64-bit Windows installation on this platform. Please use an USB drive or DVD which contains 64-bit Windows". I have successfully installed 32-bit Windows on my Macbook Pro that is running the same version of Mac OS X and Boot Camp, but I don't know why on this new iMac it doesn't allow me to. Apple's documentation states that I should be able to install either 32-bit and 64-bit without any problem, but this is not the case here. I can't find anything about this problem/error on the Internet either. HELP!!!

As for the use of VMs, I had a tough time migrating out of Parallels 6 after an upgrade to Mountain Lion broke compatibility so IMHO it is not a long term solution unless you are happy to hand out $50 every 2-3 years just to support the same functionality.
Use Virtual Box, it's free.
32 bit may have a reasonable user base but it's going away fast, if you must use 32 bit Windows and won't use a VM your choice is limited.
Buy a PC, or buy an older Mac.
