Cannot re-install iTunes!

I recently updated my iTunes, and when I did, it refused to work, created a new library, everything was wrong. So, I deleted it with the intentions of downloading it again. Now, it won't download. It gets to the very end and then says "Verification Failed" on the small download box. It never actually launches anything. I have already deleted the receipts, but they are still in the trash can. Any Help?

Not sure why iTunes created a new library for you. Did you move your music to another location, different than the file locator in your iTunes preferences? Before you attempt a reinstall, make sure your original iTunes folder is located in your Music Folder.
For the resinstall, return the iTunes.pkg file back to the Receipts folder and run the installer again. Make sure the iTunes app. is deleted.

  • I had problems with an upgrade to iTunes, a restore of my computer did not help. Now I cannot even install iTunes and it sounds like I need to restore my PC. How do I deauthroize my PC without having iTunes on my PC?

So... Is there a way to deauthorize my PC that is not allowing an iTunes install? Why can I not do this from my Apple ID at Apple.com?

All... I have attempted to re-install iTunes 3-4 times over the past couple of weeks with the same results. However, last Friday I tried again and was prepared to record the "exact results" as asked for.... This time it worked. iTunes installed properly, and my devices all synced in without problems. There have been no significant changes to my PC in the intervening few weeks since this problem started. I'm clueless as to "what" happened, but now it's fixed itself...

  • Cannot re-install Itunes on Win 7

After uninstalling ALL Windows apps, cleaning any Apple related references in Registry and removing all related temp info and lost folders/files, the downloaded iTunessetup executable does not want to install or unpack on my Windows 7 HP laptop.  Does anyone have any suggestions please.

Found a solution: Copied / Downloaded the itunessetup.exe file to Flash Drive from another PC and installed Itunes from Flash drive.

  • ITunes Crash - Cannot re-install iTunes

Okay so just today my iTunes stoped working, so I just constantly clicked on the iTunes and it kept producing an error saying that iTunes has chashed upon opening iTunes, so I drag it to the trash, but that doesn't help. So I deleted iTunes and opened up a spare copy of iTunes.dmg i had on my backup partition , and I tried to install iTunes again, then it kept saying that there is nothing to install during the installation process... I can't install iTunes anymore. If someone can help me I'd really appreciate the help! Much thanks for people who helped or attempted to help.

  • I cannot un-install itunes

Having a problem trying to uninstall iTunes

The problem began when I tried to sync my iphone with updated iOS7 software.
iTunes said I needed to upgrade to 11.1 but would not let me update automatically so through some other forums best advice given was to create backup of music folders, un-install itunes and then re-install.

  • Suddenly Cannot Uninstall/Install iTunes :( please help!

After a recent necessary restore, I went to the iTunes shortcut on my desktop to open the application and I receive the error message "that action is only available for products that are currently installed". So I attempted to re-download iTunes, however I am receiving the error message "older version of iTunes cannot be removed. Contact technical support group." (which I assume is this discussion board because I cannot find help anywhere else on the iTunes site.) When installing it attempts to uninstall the previous application, and the message reads "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. iTunes.msi cannot be found."
Please advise and help, thank you!

  • Cannot re-install iTunes after repairing Windows Vista.

My Vista crashed and I repaired it and, subsequently i'Tunes wouldn't open so I uninstalled it and now iTunes won't re-install and I get the message saying that the old copy cannot be removed. I've reviewed the troubleshooting hints on this site and I've even installed and run the Windows Cleaner program that I downloaded from Microsoft. Of, course, iTunes didn't show up in the list because I had already uninstalled it. I've deleted every reference to iTunes or QuickTime in my registry and it still won't install.

  • CANNOT RE-install iTunes on my HP!  Please help!!!

I have an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC (64-bit OS) running Windows 7 (Service Pack1).  My iTunes was corrupted by the recent Apple update that went around. I found several forums on how to uninstall iTunes.  Through much trial & error I was able tosuccessfully uninstall iTunes and it's related programs but now cannot reinstall.  This is how I uninstalled:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
For RE-INSTALLING this is what I have been doing (I've tried this 5 or 6 times now and it still is not working):
    1.  I go to the apple-iTunes website to download the most current version of iTunes for Windows  (iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows 64-bit):
    www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    2.  I click on "Download Itunes", fill in my email address then click on "Download Now".
    3.  A window opens with iTunes64Setup.exe asking me if I would like to save the file.  I click "Save File".
    4.  A window opens asking me to name the file and select where to save it to.  It automatically has my "Downloads" folder as the option.  It lists the file as a Binary File (.exe).  I don't change anything and just click "Save".
    5.  My computer acts like it is doing something but then nothing happens so I check in my Programs folder and there is no iTunes application listed.
How do i RE-INSTALL??!?!  Am I missing a step or doing something wrong??!?  Please advise.  I need your expertise ... Please help me reinstall!  I'm not sure why this is so difficult!
    Many Many Thanks in advance!
    ~ Sassy

Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use IE instead of Firefox for the download, do you get a working installer?
If you still can't get a working installer from the standard download page, try the following direct download links for 11.1.5.5:
    iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-02-25)

I tried much, I spent 2 hours by phone with the apple support, I completely followed recommendations from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923?viewlocale=fr_FR.
The installation seems good, and at the end it says: Impossible to suppress the prior iTunes version.
My son, who has the same Asus model than me, has the same problem.

  • I cannot re-install iTunes due to an error. A message appears asking if I have permission for a mobile device.... something! Please can you help. thanks

    Help

Then when I press ignore, it gives an Error 2 (Apple Application support was not found).
Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
