Cannot re-sync Wireless Keyboard KG-1061

Just received a wireless Keyboard KG-1061 from HP to replace my wireless keyboard KBRF1921 that had bad keys.  I cannot sync up the keyboard with the wireless Receiver (USB).  The wireless mouse works fine.  I watched the HP video on how to re-sync a keyboard but it still does not work.  Any suggestions.  Thanks
My PC is a P7Z with Windows 7.
PS.  I can put the batteries back into the wireless KBRF1921 keyboard and it still works.
PS PS ANYONE OUT THERE -  PLEASE HELP   THANKS!!

You may need to replace the battery in the keyboard with a fresh set.  When I use wireless keyboards I tend to use rechargeable batteries as this is an issue that will repeat itself when the batteries lose their charge.

  • Help! - Can't sync Wireless Keyboard - Catch 22

Hi, my old wireless keyboard stopped working consistently, so I replaced it with a new one. The problem is that I can't log onto my iMac with either keyboard: the old one doesn't work (i.e. not all the keys are working--at least not the ones I need to enter my password), and the new one doesn't work yet because I can't log onto the iMac to sync it up. Catch 22. Batteries are new. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Because I didn't get a response I ended up buying a wired keyboard. So I'm all set--the answer is that if your wireless keyboard ceases to function and you've found yourself logged out of your iMac, don't assume that getting a replacement wireless keyboard will somehow magically solve your issue. It doesn't. There is no way to log on unless you have a wired keyboard. I have one now and was able to sync up my wireless.

  • Sync wireless keyboard, want to confirm why I can't.

I've read the manual and looked through various forums to find out why I can't connect my Apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad and if I've read all this correctly then I need to go into my imac's preference screen and disconnect the keyboard before I can reconnect it to my iPad. Is that correct and if so will I have to disconnect it from my iPad when I reconnect it to my iMac? It seems too complex for Apple products.
Btw, I'm (trying) to use my keyboard from work and I've tried removing the batteries.

This is the way Bluetooth functions. Normally a Bluetooth device can only actually communicate with one device at a time. Unless the device supports something called multipoint. I have one Bluetooth headset that supports multipoint.
You can pair the keyboard with multiple devices, but it can only be connected and used on one device at a time.
If you are using it on your iMac then that is the last device the keyboard remembers being connected too, and it will search for that device. You need to tell the iMac to disconnect from the keyboard, the tell the iPad to connect too it. And yes, you will have to do the reverse when you want to use the same keyboard back on your iMac vs the iPad.

  • Wireless Keyboard is not working and I cannot boot to MAC using Boot Camp

    Hi,
I cannot get my wireless keyboard to connect to the Mac anymore. I have a 17" iMac that is running Boot Camp. since the Mac keyboard is not working I am using a PC USB keyboard (which does not have an "option" key) without the Option key I cannot enter Mac mode, so I only get the default boot to XP... HELP!!! Is there any other way to get into Mac mode without using the option key on the keyboard? Or is there another key on the PC keyboard that maps to Option?
    Thanks

I wrote up my travails getting the wireless keyboard working, maybe it will help: http://industriousone.com/apple-wireless-keyboard-vs-windows-xp. Otherwise, you can boot into OSX by clicking on the Boot Camp icon in the system tray (looks like a gray diamond) and choose "Reboot in OS X mode" (or something like that, working from memory). In OS X, you can reboot into Boot Camp by going to System Preferences > Startup Disk and choosing Windows. Hope that helps!

  • Problems pairing wireless keyboard with Mac mini

    Hi,
I just bought a new Mac mini with wireless keyboard and mouse and cannot pair the wireless keyboard during the initial set up. Took out the batteries, turned off the mini, still doesn't work. I'm looking into borrowing a regular USB keyboard an running through the set up with this so I can get started. Is there another solution?
    Thanks.

Isn't it great when you solve your own problems. The USB keyboard allowed me to get up an running. When I went to the bluetooth preferences, I set up the wireless keyboard and haven't had a problem since.

  • Wireless keyboard doesn't work in Windows!!

Wireless keyboard works fine in Lion system, but I cant unpair it in Lion system since it is undetectable. After installing Windows 7 through boot camp, the wireless keyboard is not working. I think it is some kind of driver problem. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thanks a lot!!!

    Hi JPasHPCust,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I have read your post on having trouble utilizing your wireless keyboard to the desktop, and I would be happy to be of assistance!
To start off, I will need to know what the Product and Model Number is for your desktop. I will also need to know if your wired keyboard is capable of functioing in a different USB port or not.
Please follow this document on Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Troubleshooting. If you still cannot use the wireless keyboard, try booting your computer in safe mode. To do this, follow these steps to boot in Windows 8 Safe Mode.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • IPad will no longer sync with desktop Outlook programs.  Wireless keyboard cannot find the iPad.  Cannot reset the iPad.  What is wrong?

This problem developed in mid December. the synching worked perfectly on my 18 month old iPad 2 until then.  Now the iPad will not sink my calendar, contacts and notes from my desktop Outlook program.  It does seem to sync my pictures. the wireless keyboard had no problem recognizing the iPad until mid-December.  I tried to reset the iPad by pressing the on off and home button concurrently.  The iPad logo appeared but the iPad did not reset.  Instead, my full configuration on the iPad along with all of my apps simply reappeared.  I am at a loss as to what happened and what to do about it.

Your post indicates iOS 4.3 which is now quite old.  I am going to suggest restoring your iPad, which, among other things, will update your iOS to the current version.
I recommend restoring your iPad.  Make sure you have the current version of iTunes on your computer (currently 11.0.1).  Plug your iPad into your computer, let it sync, then press "Restore" on the right side when the summary page of the iPad is displayed in iTuens' display.

  • Ok so I got my mac mini today and I am trying to set it up but my wireless keyboard does not sync up. I have tried entering the code that the mini displays but still cannot get past the sync keyboard screen. Since I dont have a wired keyboard ...any ideas

Happy Thanksgiving. Any ideas on how to sync up a brand new man mini with a wireless keyboard. My attempts at following the directions have been frustated so far. Entering the numerical code has not yet led to a successful sync up.

    Alright, very good.

  • How do you sync the wireless keyboard with the Ipad?  It doesn't ever find

How do you sync the wireless keyboard to the Ipad

Have you read the iPad manual (Page 22)?
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPad_UserGuide.pdf
    and the Bluetooth Keyboard manual:

If your keyboard is already paired with another device that is in range then you must unpair it first (see page of the keyboard manual).

  • I have a mac book my iPhone 4 doesn't show up in devicesin iTunes so cannot sync. it has also stopped syncing wirelessly.

I have a mac book pro and iPhone 4. suddenly when i connect my iPhone 4 to my mac my phone doesn't show up in devices. it recognises it via iPhoto and uploads my photos but i cannot see it in iTunes so cannot sync. it has also stopped syncing wirelessly.

Using the USB cable, connect your phone to the computer you want to sync with. Let the phone sync.
In the left-hand pane, click on your iPhone under Devices.
Select the Summary tab along the top of the screen.
Under Option, is the checkbox for Sync with this Phone over Wi-Fi checked? If not, check it and click Apply.
If it was already checked, do the following:
    Uncheck it
    Click Apply
Disconnect the iPhone from the computer
Plug the iPhone into the computer again
Check the Sync over Wi-Fi checkbox
    Click Apply
Disconect the iPhone from the computer
Now go under Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync and see if you can sync wirelessly.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard on Mac Mini Core Solo CANNOT be found !

    Hi,
My Apple Wireless Keyboard (non-aluminum)was working perfectly with my Mac Mini core Solo. I had to change the battery and after that I cannot connect to my Mac Mini.
    I tried:
    1. Update the Bluetooth software (from the downloads from Apple.com).
    2. Remove all the keyboard definitions in the System Preferences, Bluetooth.
    3. When I try to connect by selecting Keyboard in the Bluetooth Assistant, I won't get any device.
    4. When I try to connect to any device in the Bluetooth Assistent, I'll see the only Apple Wireless Keyboard I have, but then pairing failes.
    5. Only by using a USB keyboard I could enter my MacMini.
    Questions:
    a. How all of a sudden this can't work ?
    b. How to I "reset" the keyboard ?
    c. What can I do ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Rokesh

i am having this exact same problem. Keyboard isnt seen if I select "Keyboard" in the bluetooth setup assistant, but if I select "Any Device" then after a moment "Apple Wireless Keyboard" shows up in the device list but it will refuse to pair, saying it doesnt have any configurable services.
Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Keys ±, 3, e, d and c won't work on wireless keyboard so I cannot log in to  my iMac

Keys ±, 3, e, d and c won't work on my wireless keyboard. I cannot log in to my iMac because my password includes a 3. I've tried logging in as a guest user and tested the keyboard with Safari. The problem keys do't work there either so it looks like a keyboard issue rather than a software one. Does anyone have any ideas about fixing it please?
(I'm sending this plea from my trusty MacBook Pro!)

Try resetting the PRAM. It may also be that that key has failed......

No that's not possible unfortunately. Do you have an iPod/iPhone or iPad you can use.

  • Wireless keyboard not sync

wireless keyboard not syncing, comes up located and then not found

Try resetting your SMC and keep any other keyboards turned off or unplugged when you start the computer up, being sure also to have the new keyboard turned off during startup.
Since no keyboard will be detected, the iMac will prompt you about pairing a keyboard. Once you see that prompt, turn the keyboard on, and it should walk you through the pairing process.
To find out how to reset the SMC, follow http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964.
Give it a try. Good luck, and keep us posted.
