Cannot read my attachments

Hi
I have problems reading attachments received!
I(ve already downloaded Internet 9 and Adobe Acrobat but still cannot read anything
Can someone help me?
Thanks

Since couple days, ovi mail is powered by yahoo Bêta... When you have an ovi account, you can connect either from your computer or from your phone... As I don't have my phone anymore, I still continue to connect to my ovi mail.
Recently, when I tried to open my attachment in my mail box, nothing happen, I cannot open or read them..... So my question was: what am I supposed to do to be able to open/read my attachments again...
I went on the help site from yahoo, the only solution I found was: either download new version of internet explorer/firefox or download new version of Adobe Acrobat! Both have been done but still I can't read my email!
I went on forums, and it seems that it's a current problem with yahoo Bêta and no one has a solution but wait!
So I figured out that maybe someone on this site may have a solution to my problem.... Hope this is clear enough... Thanks

  • Cannot read .eml attachments

We have a UM mail server from Common Voices with voice mail to email. When a voice mail is forwarded within the voice mail system to another user and the second user has voice mail to email, an email is generated that as the first message in an attachement with the format .eml This seems to cause no problems on our email clients, but sent to a BB, the BB cannot read it. Our vendor is indciating that this is a standard format that should be readable by BB. Can anyone advise if there is a way around this? Thanks, John

    Hi John
Check out the following link for the supported attachments that a BlackBerry can view

I don't see EML as a supported attachment

My Windows friends cannot read attachments from my e-mails

If the attachments are common files that your recipients should be able to read (PDF, DOC, TXT) then what is the setting when you select the menu command Edit > Attachments > Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments (checked or unchecked).
If it's unchecked you should check that setting and retry.

  • Cannot save email attachments to folders in Finder

Ughhh, I'm getting a sinking feeling.... It's happening again.
Ever since I installed Mavericks back in June of 2014, I've had nothing but problems. In fact, the actual install (perhaps coincidentally, I'm told) caused my hard drive to fail in mid-install, even though it was only 2 years old. Apple Care cheerfully paid for the new hard drive and installed Mavericks for me, but ever since my previously fast, responsive computer has been incredibly sluggish, lots of beach balls, tons of problems with things like the one I'm experiencing again today -- can't save email attachments to folders in Finder (the computer behaves as if the save was successful, but when you go look in the Finder later, you discover it was never saved anywhere). Also, I can't create any new folders because it says the location is Read Only (I've tried various file locations -- same result).
Since June, after countless visits to the Genius Bar and all sorts of attempts to fix the accumulating problems, the Genius erased my User Library last December in a final attempt to get the computer to work right before my Apple Care ran out. It was one of many attempted fixes that would actually work pretty well for a few days, but then the problems would accumulate again.
Last week, Word kept crashing. I took it to the Genius Bar and the June 2014 hard drive failed a diagnostic test. Even though Apple Care had expired, Apple replaced the hard drive for free because they could see the long list of notes from all of the visits I had made to the Genius Bar. I restored everything and, although it seemed to be working okay at first, I was still getting a lot of beach balls. Sometimes it can take 30 seconds to open a Word document, even if the application is already open. (FYI, I don't keep a lot of applications running.) But at least it was working. Today, however, I'm seeing some of the old familiar problems creep in. I cannot save email attachments to a folder. I cannot create new folders. I've tried restarting the computer multiple times. All of this was working fine as recently as yesterday.
    1. Am I doing something that is causing this? This is my sixth Mac and I've never a serious problem with ANY of the others (including one that I bought USED) and I use them at least 8 hours a day. As far as I know, I'm doing everything the same way I've always done it.
    2. Has anyone else encountered this "Read Only" problem and do you know how to fix it? I'm starting to think this is just a bad computer and that this is a symptoms that something is very wrong again.
    3. Do I simply need to start over with a brand new computer (although, frankly, I'm scared to restore everything onto a new computer and risk "infecting" the new one). This is my work computer and I am self-employed, so I really cannot afford to be running to the Genius Bar once or twice a week any longer. Any advice? It's a MacBook Pro that I bought in December 2011. According to the stats, I'm using 354.68 GB of my 499.25 GB storage capacity.
Sorry this is so long. Just trying to give the context.

  • Cannot open PDF attachments in email, get administrator logon using Acrobat X?

Cannot open PDF attachments in email, get administrator logon using Acrobat X?

I have no problem opening PDF attachments that arrive in my Outlook 2003 Inbox; they open fine with Adobe Reader 9. It may be an issue with your email client.
But if you think that Adobe Reader 8 will fix it, you can download it from http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/8.x/8.1.3/enu/AdbeRdr813_en_US.exe - make sure that you uninstall Reader 9 first (and Acrobat.com & Adobe AIR).

  • I think the last update did not work, and now I cannot open jpeg attachments with windows picture and fax viewer, it is not listed in the tools/options drop dow

I don't believe the last Thunderbird update worked, there was a very fast error message. But since then I cannot open jpeg attachments in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. If I go to Tools, then options, the jpeg line is grayed out, and the drop down menu does not show Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. The windows picture and fax viewer still works on my computer, but not for opening attachments.

I did as you said - deleted the entry for jpeg, but when I tried to open one there is not an option for Picture and Fax Viewer in the drop down, and it can't be found by browsing. It's just not there anywhere even though I can see pics in it except in email attachments.

  • Cannot view email attachments after ios update

I have an ipad3 and just downloaded ios 8.2.  Now, when I view emails I cannot view the attachments. Is there something I need to change? I checked up storage and still have 35GB left.

    Hi, Grumpy Girl.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to view email attachments on your iPad.  Try forcing all open applications to close and restart the device.  Once this is done, see if you are able to view the attachments.

Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  • Recipients can't read email attachments

Scenario: Office full of Macs. All supposedly configured exactly the same (same OS, same version of Word, etc.) When one staff member creates then sends documents (so far Word and pdf docs), others can't read the attachments. The attachments, when opened in Word, look like gibberish.
The employee in question is using Mac Mail as the mail client. The others are using Thunderbird.
But here's the thing. When we take a file from the affected computer, put it on someone else's computer, then email it, the file comes over ok.
Also, we were able to test sending the same file from another Mac using Mac Mail and the file was okay.
I checked the mail preferences to see if he had the "Send Windows Friendly Attachments" option clicked. He did not.
Any ideas on where I should look to fix this problem?
    Thanks.

So, the problem is in the Mac Mail set-up.
Have the user try changing some of the parameters.
Though Ernie has show himself to be smarter than I, I think that it has nothing to do with Exchange or anything besides how the Mac user using Mail.app has it configured, and -- so -- how the email is constructed and sent from that machine.
You said, "I checked the mail preferences to see if he had the "Send Windows Friendly Attachments" option clicked. He did not."
Okay. So set the option, restart Mail, and try it.
I have it set. I send Office docs, PDFs, everything, to people using every email client you can think of. I cannot think of one time I had a problem like this.

  • Cannot see email attachments?

I cannot see the attachments on emails.  Does anyone knows what I need to configure to be able to see them?
I can see attachments on any other object, for example opportunities, but not on emails.

    Hi Joel,
You should do the screen configuration. From the screen configuration, you can enable the attachment view.
If you are administrator, then you can publish changes too everyone. To do the screen configuration, you should do the following steps:
    1. Open the Microsoft Silverlight@ mode from adapt link\tab on right corner top of your the screen
    2. Go to Adaptation mode from adapt link\tab on right corner top of your the screen
    3. Open the Email activity
    4. Open the screen configuration mode( edit screen ) from adapt link\tab on right corner top of your the screen
    5. Select the Attachment ( make it checked ) for tab
    6. Save and publish your changes for everyone.
Hope this will help to configure the attachment view for email activity..

I cannot open any attachments in hotmail when using firefox, but had no problems with the attachments when using safari. I much prefer using firefox and don't want to have to change.
    Can anyone help please?

Same here, firefox cannot open any attachment, the page simply refresh itself or perhaps its not refresh but some kind of ajax. But NOTHING happens at all.
Attachment downloads fine if I use IE though.

I cannot open mail attachments on my iPhone 4S.  I have reset 3 times and actually lost Bluetooth once, but at least that's back on now.

Try to set it up as new device, explained here:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
First without using the backup, in case it contains corrupt data.
If it works after that, use the backup to restore from.

That message is indicating that four previews have been corrupted. If you delete the previews file Lightroom will rebuild them the next time the files are selected. If you wish you can do them overnight if you have a large catalog. The previews file has the same name as the Catalog file with an extension "Previews.lrdata" see the attached snapshot.

Edit the outgoing mail server setting to be the same for both.
Your outgoing mail server is dependent on your internet access provider (the one giving you the juice to the internet). Many block outgoing mail servers that do not belong to them, unless you specify password authentication, and port of the outgoing mail server. The port of many outgoing mail servers is either 2662, or 587, or 2626. Try each and see which one works with password authentication. Note the password you would use is the same for checking mail at that server.

  • When I reply to an email, if I hit enter the line to the left breaks and the message goes all over the place and the recipient cannot read it.

My friend tells me my answers to her emails go all over the place on the email and she cannot read them. What can I do to prevent that from happening?

You might try going to edit on the top line. In the drop down window you will find "attachments". click on that and in that drop down window click on "always send windows friendly attachments" This solve a similar problem for me.
