Cannot receive Viber calls on my Nokia 920 unless ...

Hi. My friends asked me to get viber so they could call me from overseas. Unless I have the program open, I cannot receive any calls. I imagine this is an issue with push notifications? I did not have this problem on the messaging-only version that was first out. Eventually missed calls pop up (with time stamps in order!), but that makes it super inconvenient to use this app. Even if I have the app open, it will time out with my screensaver (which I can control), but I cannot just disable the screensaver and even if I did, chances are I'm using the phone and thus not merely leaving viber open hoping for a phone call. I have ATT.

In case you are not receiving messages/calls notifications or receiving them later

2. Go to WiFI.

4. Mark 'keep WiFi on when screen times out' .
The problem with this is on my Nokia 920 phone, there is no "keep WiFi on when screen times out" selection. Similarly, in the "background tasks" section of Settings, Viber isn't even listed (I cannot even selected "allowed" like I can for AccuWeather or Kayak). HELP!

This is a regional software issue and looks like ATT have crippled your phone as here is option:

Cannot receive any calls, can only send/receive texts if iphone users/verizon users-any suggestions?

recently ported to Verizon, I cannot send/receive texts to non iphone/verizon users and cannot receive phone calls at all. I turned off imessaging and checked my old service was deactivated-any suggestions?

I have forgotten my security questions and cannot purchase apps. My rescue email was entered with an error .me instead of .mw so I can't reset my account. Is there a way to contact support via email ? as I can't receive a call.

Cannot receive VoIP calls on my 3102

i got a new 3102 a few days ago. set up went well. i can make voip and pstn call outwards and i can receive pstn calls. i even managed to set up the pstn to voip gateway.
however i cannot receive calls via VoIP. the receiving phone rings but when i answer it, i get nothing. from the calling side, you don't get the normal "ring ring", just a tone.
it's behind a netopia ADSL modem that has IP passthrough/DMZ set up on it. the 3102 shows the public IP address assigned by my ISP. so i assume that totally bypasses NAT and i thus don't have to worry about port forwarding etc. I don't have STUN or NAT on.
i have tried registering with different VoIP providers such as FWD, SipPhone, and VoipTalk and the symptoms are identical for all.
does anyone have any idea of what's going on here? thanks in advance.

i don't know but it still looks like a NAt problem to me ( unless of course there's really something wrong with your SPA3102 )... why don't you forward the ports needed on your ADSL modem and enable NAT on the SPA3102? another thing that you can do is to try the SPA in another location that has a regular cable or DSL modem ....

E72 cannot receive VoIP calls

Hi, I have downloaded the SIP app and entered all the settings as per the guides available on the web, I can now phone out using 'internet call' just fine but I cannot receive calls (nothing happens on the E72, engaged tone on the calling phone). I am using 3G (AWCDMA is on) but I don't see why that should make a difference as I can call out.
I dabbled with the NAT settings but as soon as I entered anything in there I could not longer dial out so I have left it empty. I am running the latest firmware (as at 10/10/2011) and flat out of ideas - any help is welcome

I cannot receive phone calls or messages when iPhone screen is locked

i have an iPhone 5.
i Am unable to receive phone calls or text messages when my screen is locked. When I unlock the screen the missed call doesn't even appear so I have no idea anyone has called me. Text messages come through at about 12:30am every night.
i Have tried EVERYTHING I could find in forums and Apple trouble shooting. This is my last resort other than sending it to Apple.
iit is as if "do not disturb" is stuck on, but it isn't.
i Have tried:
changing all all do not disturb settings.
checked call forwarding etc.
checked mute
my silent button is not on.
i have reset every setting and then even reset the phone and manually transferred everything back onto it rather than restore It from previous back ups.
oout it in recovery mode.
i Have no success with any.
the weird part is when I first lock the screen and try to call it, it does ring. But if I give it a minute or more it won't ring.
does anyone have any ideas or anything that may help?

I Have also checked blocked numbers and swapped SIM cards from a completely different carrier so it's not the carrier either

Cannot receive Viber codes while abroad in the UK

I have a Verizon 4s Iphone......I had Viber installed and working fine before I left the States for the UK. Once here Viber was working fine, unfortunately my phone acted up, so I updated to the lasted iOS on my phone....since then Viber will not work. I have un-installed, and re-installed Viber....added my number and made sure the right country was selected.....I have my Data Roaming on.....as it states....I do not get a SMS, and when I try the No Code option....it will not call my number. I also tried using a local number, that will receive a sms, or phone call....either way when I do get a code...it tells me the code is invalid. I have waited the 24hrs with Viber un-installed, and done all the above again...with the same results. Can someone please help me!....I need Viber to stay in contact with loved ones back home.

After no help what so ever from Apple support I sort of went around the problems was having this way. For a home phone service I use Vonage, which I also have an app for on my iPhone. I setup my home phone to forward calls to my cell...then when I registered viber again, I put my home number...now of course I wouldn't get the text that way, but the call came right through, and I got the code. Viber worked great from that point on, the only downside was the id everyone saw was from my home number....which wasn't a big deal. Once back in the states though I deleted viber and re-installed it with my cell number. Don't know what was causing it not to work, just chalked it up to network issues over there. Soooo hopefully you can get a work around like I did to at least get it going again for you. Good luck! Also maybe just try again in a few days...delete it from your phone, and after a couple days try again.

FaceTime cannot receive/make call on iPad2

I am facing problem with using Facetime on my iPad2. I am not able to receive call or make call although I am signed in to Facetime. I could call from my MacBook Air to my iPhone (or vice versa) but when I tried calling to my iPad2, it didn't get connected (no ringing at all). Any one has any resolution / recommendation?

Cannot Receive a Call

I have a very weird problem I am not able to receive calls from local exptensions but I am able to receive calls from external numbers. My phone is 7911. I trid to delete and recreate the phone again but still it the same issue. I have 400 phones on my network and its the only phone which is giving me issue. When I install the ip communicator on the computer it works good.

No issue has not been fixed. I just explained how problem was started.
How ever I have enabled the trace by following this link since i have call maanger 4.1

Ios 7 iphone 5 sprint cannot receive phone calls after updating..

After updating to iOS 7 my phone does NOT receive any phone calls. I can make them, Texts and data work but not incoming calls. any info on this?

I am having the same problem. Very disappointed. This happened with the beta 3 version and I uninstalled and reverted back to iOS6. This is a huge problem not just a minor big and a fix needs to be sent out ASAP. I assumed once I upgraded to final iOS7 release this would be fixed.
The problem is you don't get a missed notification and the only way you know if someone has called is if they live voicemail.
It's sporadic and a cause for headache due to missing important calls. Please assure us this will be fixed and how soon.

E6 sometime cannot receives a call

Hey guys, I really have a problem with my E6 runs Belle OS. Sometime somebody calls me, it doesn't show anything on the screen and the guy who is calling me will receive a Busy Signal. However, I tried to reinstall firmware and make it fresh like new, but seem like sometime it still has the same problem. I don't hack it or install any more software on this phone after reinstalling the firmware, but it still catchs that problem sometime after using it 1 or 2 days
Please anyone has met this problem and show me how to do with it, I'm very appreciate it

Check with the carrier. Phone calls are their function. Have them check your account.
You can also check your phone to make sure that the Mute switch is not on, and that you have a ringtone set for phone calls.

Cannot Receive phone calls at my new number

YES- I have enabled my voicemail.
YES- I did set up my options so that voicemail does not pick up until it has rung for 30 seconds.
YES- I did pay for a phone number.
YES- I did set up my voicemail options so that I get email notification whenever a voicemail is left for me.
Regardless of all this, whenever someone (or even when I use a cell phone myself) calls my skype number they are taken directly to voicemail with no 30 second pause- and to top it off the phone never rings AND even though I do get an email notifying me that a VM was left when I go to view my voicemails they are not there! The last voicemail that shows in the VM menu was left back in JUNE. What the hell junk did I just pay for here? I'm waiting for an extremely important call from my lawyer and the phone number won't ring OR take any vm messages. All it does is tell me that someone left me a voicemail but it does not record them at all.

It is happening the same to me.
Is someone else experiencing the same problem?

I cannot receive skype calls on my landline

skype calls are bing blocked from my landline. when i call my home landline number from skype i (and everyone else who is calling me) get a recording saying that my phone does not accpet blocked calls and that I should dial *82. CenturyLink (my carrier) is telling me this is a Skype problem.
