Cannot Recieve Text
I cannot recieve any text i tells anyone that trys to text me that im blocked or something and i dont have any blocks on my account.

Here is another idea. It is based on the idea that you may have a BAD text message blocking incoming messages.
Go to Settings>Applications>Running Services>ALL (tab at top of screen) and scroll down to SMSIMSSettings. First CLEAR the Cache and then CLEAR the Data. BTW, clearing the data should clear all your text messages.
Now get someone to send you a text message or send one to yourself.
This is a photo of my SMSIMSSettings. Notice that both the Cache and the Data are empty.

I dont have my old number anymore and iMessage is still registered on the old number(it's in light grey fonts)I cannot choose or delete this number. Also I cannot recieve text on this number because it doesnt exist anymore.
You should contact Apple support and ask them to deregister iMessage for the old number.

How come I cannot recieve text messages from other iphone users without using imessage?
I do not have a data plan, so when I am not connected to wi-fi I cannot recieve text messages from other people using an Iphone. I can recieve them once I turnn on imessage and am connected to wi-fi though. Why is this and what can I do to fix it??
Check Settings>General>Cellular to be sure you have Cellular Data set to On.

Cannot recieve text messages from Metro PCS Blackberry! can anyone help me!
i just got my iphone 3GS today. I can recieve text messages from other att customers and t-mobile customers. My sister is with Metro PCS. She has a blackberry. i cannot recieve test messages from her! Does anyone have any suggestions? I dont know what OS the phone is. Its a 16GB 3GS phone.
She gets all of my text messages. She was at home last night when she was trying to reply. Her phone is telling her that the text are being sent to me. But im not getting them.

Cannot recieve text SMS from AT&T
I have a 5s, and I'm brand new to Verizon. I cannot receive "text" messages from anyone on AT&T. iMessage works just fine. Has anyone had this problem and how can it be fixed?
When you say "brand new" to Verizon, do you mean you recently ported your number from another carrier? It can sometimes take a few days for the number and services to fully integrate and work properly.
You can try removing and reinserting the SIM to see if it reconnecting to the network speeds things along.
You can also call customer service (*611 from your phone, or 800-922-0204 from any phone) and have them check the SMS message provisioning for your line to ensure it is set up properly. Is everything else working (voicemail? MMS? Internet? Calls?) -
Switched ot andriod now cannot recieve text from iphones users what should i do
i cannot recieve test from iphone users it still tries to send as a imessage from there phone even tho i no longer have iphone
The problem may be that on the other users phones if your contact is associated with an email address that could have been used for iMessage, that that is what it's trying to send to.
If that's not the case I'm not exactly sure. They may also try erasing your contact and putting it back in their phone. That way it would be a new contact unassociated with an iPhone.

I cannot recieve text message but i can recieve Imessages
My phone will not let me send or recieve text messages but it will imessages, how do i fix it
Restart your iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Now try the Messages icon. -
Swithed from an iPhone to a Droid and cannot recieve texts from iPhones
My iPhone recently stopped working and I had to switch to my old Droid. Now I cannot receive iMessages to my Droid. How can I unregister myself as an iPhone user so I can get texts on my Droid. My old iPhone will not turn on so it will have to be done online.

Unfortunately, you are having this problem because you forgot to turn iMessage off on your iPhone prior to the switch. Apple is still having other iPhones send texts to your number to your number which is still registered within Apple. Since Apple prefers to utilize a proprietary system such as iMessage instead of a system which is open to all other phone platforms, this problem will CONTINUE to happen.
Had you simply turned iMessage off on your iPhone prior to making the switch, you would not have this problem.

I cannot recieve text from other ipone users
I can send and receive text messages from non-iphone users. I can send messages, but do not receive texts from other iphone users.

Let's get those messages up and running! When did this begin and how long have you had your iPhone? Are you using Wifi or the VZW network? Have you tested while using both?

Cannot recieve text messages sometimes
Hello, sometimes when im texting people they think i am ignoring them because the texts that they sent i am not receiving. Im not sure if its their phone or mine. Any input would be very greatful.

Cannot receive text messages and visual voicemail isn't working
Ok so I've searched but cannot find anything on my first problem. I cannot recieve text messages from people through normal SMS but rather only through iMessage. I keep getting a message saying my sms inbox is full and that I need to delete some messages first. I only get the messages after turning my phone off and then turning it back on. Any ideas on how to fix this or if there are any solutions online somewhere that I missed.
Also, the second thing is my visual voicemail isn't working anymore and now it's acting like an old voicemail where I have to call and listen to messages. Any ideas on that issue?
Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry in advance if either of these questions were asked and I was to blind to see them. Thanks

Turning it off and on a few times will do nothing. What you need to do is remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it a few seconds after that. Your phone MUST be powered on when you remove the battery.

Non Iphone users cannot recieve my text messages
I just got the iphone 5c for christmas, and at first i was able to recieve text mesages from non iphone users without any problem but jsut the other night i quit recieving them what should i do?

Hello, I recently added a couple of people to my unlimited talk and text account. We had devices already and yesterday they were activated. They cannot send or recieve texts.. the phones have been powered down mulitiple times (one is an android (samsung Galixy S and teh other is a samsung SCH-U300 I believe)
anyone esle run into this.
Teh plan that these folks had prior to being added to mine did not include text messaging (yes, it was old)I can understand the concern for the issues your lines are having with text messaging tonys555. SuzyQ is correct. If porting was a factor it can affect the functionality of the phones until the port is completed. Its important to ensure both phones are off an only your verizon phone is on while the port is being completed. If you continue to have issues please contact us so we can trouble-shoot your issue.
