Cannot record anything! (Audigy2 Plat

The problem I'm having is that I simply cannot record anything.
I tried different things including setting the source to "What U Hear". I can hear everything from all inputs, but when I record into a file, I alway get an empty file.
Does anybody have any clue what might be going wrong here?

Hi,
To my understanding, that is the normal behaviour for new (blank) DVD.
You need to install DVD writer software application (e.g. Roxio Creator, etc) in order to write files into the DVD disc. Most DVD writers comes with such free software, so do check again for any CD that comes with the writer, or download freeware
from the Internet.

I finally stumbled across a fix for this problem, and in case someone else is frustrated at some point by a similar issue I'm posting what finally worked to enable me to bring iTunes up at any time (without rebooting first).
The solution was to go to the preferences to uncheck "search for shared libraries".
I'm glad the problem is fixed, but Apple developers really should include a timeout function on iTunes search for a shared libraries. At least a visual dialog to confirm that the application is in the process of searching for a shared library on the network would help provide clues as to what is causing the spinning beach ball to appear right about the time the application window should pop up.

Cannot record audio using Audition

After I installed M-audio software, I cannot record an audio using Audition. I uninstalled M-Audio software and reboot the PC but still cannot record anything.

I have a microphone hooked up to the microphone plug in my soundcard. Although I can hear audio through the mic, when using windows recorder, I cannot record anything!
Also, when I plug the mic into the line-in, I can't hear anything through my speakers.
I can record?when I select "What U Hear," but nothing else. I've updated the drivers, but that didn't help.
Any input is appreciated!

I also wanted to add that I have selected the microphone option from the recording mixer and I have it set at a reasonable input level. I also have it unmuted from the playback mixer and have that level set at a reasonable level.

G/L account cannot record in the business transaction.

When i am using cash journal (FBCJ), some G/L account cannot record in the business transaction. (error msg: you cannot enter tax code in business transaction).
I want to know how to edit the business transaction to disable the tax code requirement for those G/L account

If you want to disable the tax code requirement for that particular GL a/c XXXXX.
1) In FS00 Please chck if there is any tax category specified(under control data tab), please ensure that no tax code is specified.(this particular chk mark will make the gl account as tax relevant)
2) if no tax code specified in fs00, you need not specify anything in the transaction code FBCJC2 (For that business transaction) in the field tax code.
3) So at the time of posting transaction in FBCJ it will not give any error.

Canon HF G10 Camcorder - "Cannot Record" error message when trying to make new recordings

I purchased Canon HF G10 camcorder 6 months ago and suddenly I am getting a "Cannot Record" error message each time I press the record button - it simply stopped working and I am puzzled about this - has anyone else faced this problem? if yes, were you able to resolve it? I am very glad to help you with this.
According to the specifications in the user manual, this model records to the internal memory by default in any shooting mode. You can manually select to record to the SD cards, but only in the Manual or Cinema modes. If you are shooting in Auto, clearing out some of the internal memory should stop the "Cannot Record" message from appearing.

CANNOT RECORD REAL INSTRUMENT ON TO TRACK

I need help with a sound recording issue. I have a Macbook, an M-box2 with Protools and Garage Band software. Recently i have had a challenge trying to figure out what went wrong and where. I've used my setup many times before but, all of a sudden, I am unable to record a live sound or instrument, through all inputs on the m-box2. when i attempt to record a live instrument or sound... i get that sound through the monitors BUT, no sound is recorded on the track being used... however... I do have a signal on my levels indicator that is 3/4 of the way to the peak point... but, they don't move at all. There is also a visual recorded consistently monotone looking waveform that appears to be some sort of sound or signal, but is not audible and it does not fluctuate as a normal sound does. *PLEASE HELP ME!!!*

I have the same problem, I think. In my case, if I select "Real Instrument" when I open a new track, the Track Info box on the right has only Software Instruments available. In other words, I don't see a "Real Instruments" button next to the "Master Track" button, only Software Instruments. Further, I cannot get it to record anything from the audio line-in. I know the mic/line-in is working, but it's not registering in GarageBand (regardless of which input is selected in GB preferences). Another quirk: if I delete the Inst1 track that it starts with, then I cannot even click onto the Software Instruments to select one.

Cannot record multiple mic's with mixer board

I have a Satellite P205D-S7802 - I recently bought a Behringer Xenyx mixer so I can podcast with mutiple mic's. I cannot get anything to record through the mixer. I have everything connected correct and even contacted the Behringer tech support just to be sure. Is there a way to get this to work? It is driving me crazy......Thanx

You may need to go to Control Panel under Sounds and change the default input from the internal to external mic.

Cannot Record after Hooked up Interface

I've been having problems with this for a while now. I have a Tascam US144 interface between my Yamaha keyboard and my MacBook. Sometimes, it would detect and I was able to record, but every time I ended the track, it would stop detecting. I've gotten to the point where I cannot get it to record anything. I have the preferences to detect the 144, but now I can't even get the metronome sound when I try to record (and the comptuer's not muted). I cannot record and I'm not sure what I need to do. The drivers for the interface are installed into the computer.

I believe it is, if I think I understand what you're saying... When I hit record to record the track, it does not detect anything I play. When I tried to record via the onscreen keyboard, I was able to see the notes going in, but I still can't hear any sounds (including the metronome).
I obviously did something wrong to my settings, too. What should my audio/MIDI prefrences read?

Cannot Record Rosetta (Toslink)

Can someone please tell me what could be wrong with my setup? I'm new to Logic from Cubase.
The input and output is from the G5 (toslink)to the Rosetta (toslink). From the Apple's system preference (sound), I can clearly see the signal from the Rosetta, but I cannot record this signal into Logic 7. The audio track is selected, the record button is enable and the Audio Core is ready.
Will someone please tell me why I cannot record? The signal is there.

I had some problems like this with a digidesign driver.
It would not let me use the spdif with logic. I am not
familiar with the Rosseta, if it has a driver program,
see if you can find anything like a manager interface
that might have the settings you need to tweak.

X230 audio issue, cannot record or hear audio intermittently.

We have 209 x230 laptops with windows 7 64bit. A good number of these laptops are having intermittment audio issue. You cannot hear anything or record anything. Sometime the system sound will work but other application such as the web browser will not work.
EDIT: All drivers are updated.

Hello, did you ever get an answer to your question? I just picked up a Jawbone Era and using on an iPhone 4s running 5.0.1. Seems to work fine on regular calls, but not on the built in Voice memos application. It worked fine on my older Jawbone Icon, but haven't tested on the 4s or iOS 5.

this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.
