Cannot register new phone in uc560
Have bought a new cisco 7945 ip phone and uc560 cannot see it on the network.
This is usually a fairly simple problem to resolve, but involves multiple steps to do so.
Check that you have the proper phone firmware in flash.
Check your load statement under telephone services to match the firmware version
Ensure that you have an alias statement to tftp the phone load
No Create / Create CNF files
May have to perform a factory reset on the phone
When all else fails, call us at 866-606-1866 and we'll get you fixed right up.
Remember to have the serial number on your UC560 available when you call in.

Cannot Register new 3GS on iTunes
Hello,
I just purchased a 3gs as a replacement for my original 2g. At&t activated the phone in-store and I am able to make and receive calls. However, when I brought the phone home to sync to iTunes 8.2, I can't go through the Registration process. When I connect the new 3gs, iTunes gives me the "Welcome to your new Iphone... Lets get started" screen, then I click continue. However, nothing else comes up after this. I am left with a blank iTunes window. I've left my phone like this for several hours and nothing ever comes up. I do notice that the center display window at the top of iTunes is always showing "Accessing iTunes Store..."
Here's what I've done so far (i'm using a Windows XP computer by the way):
I've reset my computer multiple times... no change.
I've reinstalled iTunes multiple times and also ensured I have the most recent version from Apple... no change.
Reconnected my old 2g phone to iTunes and verified that it will still sync and update to iTunes (although service has now been transfered to 3gs).
Removed my entire music library from iTunes to rule out a corrupt library that could be causing a syncing issue to the iTunes store... no change.
Disabled Genius in iTunes (I've read this can cause some peoples' iTunes to hang)... no change.
I'm officially out of ideas and need some help... anything is appreciated. Thank you!Gudzy,
I had the exact same situation as you. Original iPhone owner... upgraded to 3Gs.... can't "register"
Actually, I still haven't managed to "register" my new iPhone, but it doesn't really matter! You can bypass that step. Instead of trying to "continue" just click on "Register Later" or "Never Register" or "Cancel"... I honestly forget exactly how the other button on that intro screen is labeled off-hand, but there is another button besides just "continue".
When you cancel out of that "registration" screen, it will move along and ask you whether you want to "setup as a new phone" or "restore from a backup".... hopefully you have a full, recent backup from your previous iPhone (if not, connect your original iPhone & do another backup first).
Anyhow.... just say "restore from backup" and select the backup of your old iPhone. It will completely restore your old iPhone's configuration & content onto your new iPhone.
I think I saw a quick flash on the screen at some point saying that it "could not activate iPhone..." but it didn't matter. My iPhone worked perfectly aftewards. Phone, messaging, internet/wi-fi, music, photos, videos, etc... All there! All working just fine!
Now, as for eventually registering my new iPhone for product support or service & the like.... I'm going to look into doing it manually on the Apple web site. There is most likely a place to register "manually" any new Apple product that you may have purchased. Probably just a matter of entering the serial # and a few other details. I'll let you know when I look into that. But I'm not in a hurry on that part.
Point is... it's easier to just skip that registration and move on with the business of getting your new phone fully up & running with all your content, etc....
If you still want to see what Apple has to say about it.... well, let the rest of us know what you find out... I'd be curious... but it didn't stop me from setting up & using my new iPhone 3Gs. -
Cannot register new mobile nbr in different countr...
I had registered my mobile long ago while in Asia. Now I have relocated to Europe but cannot change this number that no longer exists because it gives me that country by default without option to change. I cannot register another number also because that country comes by default!
I have also tried to change the number in my profile but Switzerland does not exist in the drop down menu.
My profile shows my residing country as switzerland.
It is also not possible to contact someone at skype so if someone here could help, I'd appreciate it.

Apple id and registering new phone
Hi Please help! Just got a new iPhone 4s and I logged into the apple App Store and managed to install some apps on my usual account. For some reason it's now saying I can't purchase apps in this store (US) and to change to UK store. I've tried going online and HAVE changed the site to UK but the actual 'app' on my phone still shows the US store. I've tried changing it via iTunes too (which it does) but again, on the actual app I can't change it to UK. Also, how do I de-register my apple id on my old phone so that I can give it to someone else?

ZCM 10.3.3 - cannot register new installations
This is a problem that recently has reared its ugly head. Installing ZCM 10.3.3 agent on XP Pro SP3 workstations appears to work; however, the workstations do not register with the ZCM server. Newly imaged workstations (with ZCM 10.3.3 installed some time ago) register automatically. Taking a known-good machine, I can "zac unr" and "zac reg ..." with success. Yet, installing ZCM today on a fresh computer, I can't register the workstation.
I cannot think of what changed or exactly when this week this problem started. The machines that had ZCM 10.3.3 installed prior to this problem starting are behaving properly. I can unregister and reregister without failure.
"zac cc" followed by "zac reg https://zcm.domain.tld" returns the following error:Unable to register with the server at: https://zcm.domain.tld.
Service Error. code: -21, message: Could not determine device type from <OS> tag: unsupported
The log file includes the following, which makes me think the pre-agent installer didn't install the sqlite stack:[DEBUG] [07/28/2011 14:35:41.968] [1912] [ZenworksWindowsService] [19] [] [ZenCache] [] [Exception getting object record for key ZoneConfig:Realms

I had some funky files in the Windows Side-by-side folder that were artifacts of a previous wonky install of a different application. I had experienced issues with these specific files before that were resolved by removing them; they just weren't removed from these images that I was doing the upgrade from Zen 7 to ZCM 10.
After removing these two files, ZCM was able to be registered without error.
For the morbidly curious, the two files I removed are:

I have to ask, how did you figure out that those files were related to a previous zenworks install? I had the same issue, but didn't have the same files. They were close in name, but then I was installing 10.3.4, not 10.3.3. I removed the two files, the manifest had a different number at the end, but the policy file was the same name. Thank you so much for that tip, it saved me a few hours of head scratching and saved the customer from a re-image. -
Cannot register new iPod due to registration screen incorrecltly populating

trying to register a new iPod, but the main start up screen isn't populating correcly in iTunes. It does not show the entire screen and does not give a scroll bar to be able to scroll to the far right of the screen to click the "register now" button; nor the "continue" button if I choose "register later". The only things you can do are keep trying, or wait it out. -
After service, cannot register my phone
Last December, just before the guarantee was over, and since the battery of my iphone 5 had issues, I took my iphone to an Apple service store, in order to replace the battery. As a usual practice, Apple replaced my phone with a refurbished one, having itself a different serial number. I tried to register the replacement phone, but wont register, because, it says, is already registered to a different apple id. bear in mind that the phone is activated completely with my apple id. How can I fix this issue?

If information from old device has been transfered to new device how can I restore the new device back to original?
By that, do you mean return your phone to the way it was when first taken out of the box? If so: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings.

It has always been very basic to alwasy make sure that everything is backed up before attempting an update.
Did you fail to do this?
What "data" do you want to retrieve?
All pics taken with iphone should be imported to your computer regularly as with any digital camera, expecially before any update.
All contacts/calendars should eb synced to your computer regularly, expecially before an update.
All itunes purchases should be transferred to your computer regularly, expecially before an update. -
Cannot Register Phone - Error Logging into the Windows Phone Dev Center
I cannot register my phone using the Windows Phone Developer Registration tool running in Windows 8.1. The phone is a Samsung Ativ S.
I've confirmed that I can log into dev.windowsphone.com on the machine. I've tried setting up the credentials with Credentials Manager (using dev.windowsphone.com as the url). I've confirmed that IpOverUsbSvc is running. I've confirmed that the phone is
visible in the file manager (and even browsed files to make sure). I've unlocked the phone's lock screen. I've gone the Accounts page in the dev centre to confirm that my account is active.
It seems the problem isn't with the credentials I use because, if I purposely enter incorrect credentials, I don't even get past the Microsoft Account Sign In window - the error message I am getting happens after that sign-in window right in the Windows

I cannot register my ICQ & AIM, and...

I recently upgraded from a Blackberry 8700g to a Curve, which I must say I love the new features. However, I have been having trouble with 2 things.
The first is when I go to the Blackberry website to register my phone for the AIM and ICQ chat services. Yes, my phone has "Edge" in the upper right corner. I have also reboot my system and tried connecting my USB cable at various stages during the process. However, everytime I try to register, I get "an unspecified error has occurred" and I cannot register my phone. Any ideas?
Also, the time it takes for an email to send from this phone is insanely slow as compared to my old 8700g. Clocking the last email it was about 7 minutes. Is this normal? If it is text only, it is only about 2-3 minutes, at worst. When I attach a file or picture, it jumps up astronomically. I have checked my settings, and am stumped.
Any advice on these two issues would be appreciated.

Yahoo followes a policy where it supports yahoo messenger access to some regions only. Same goes for AIM and ICQ. But there is a ruor that Blackberry is going to open it up...but no official communication till date.
Regarding the slowness of your device please let me know which version of device OS you're using now?

All content bought using an Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
If you want only to use the new Apple ID, you need to delete all apps, music & books with the old Apple ID and repurchase with the new Apple ID. -
When trying to update apps an invalid apple id show up and I cannot get the apple id to update to the same id, I have restored, restored as a new phone, I have been into the manage I am at wits end after 7 hours on hold and working with techs.
Finally got through to tech support and found someone who seemed to know what was going on, he walked me through and using appleid.applesupport got me to a point where i could get a new password for the apple id that kept showing up.
I think you were on the right trail and I want to say thanks for your help. Much appreciated
