Cannot Reinstall my Photoshop

I got an error code when I was updating Camera Raw, then followed the procedure to uninstall Photoshop. When I went to reinstall Photoshop, install program crashed. I tried restarting, same result.
I've got deadlines coming quickly. This is very, very bad. Please help.

I was able to download a new CS6. After downloading, Adobe Application Manager gave a screen that said "Installation Complete, some items for the following product(s) could not be installed successfully. Photoshop"
Gave an error summary link which went like this:

Tried restarting in safe mode, installation still unsuccessful. Then I trashed my AIR installer program and tried to reinstall that. Screen says installation may not be allowed by administrator. I'm the administrator. Believe me, it's fine!
How can I just clean everything Adobe off of my computer and start fresh?

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 has been working fine up until I had to uninstall it last week. I am using Windows XP. I inserted the CD for reinstall. It works fine at validating, copying files and then asks for the CD to be re-inserted. I re-insert the CD and it stops right there. Will not complete the download.

Cannot reinstall my photoshop elements 9 from disk

I recently had to uninstall and reinstall photoshop elements 9 on my computer. Now the CD won't reinstall. There is nothing visually wrong with the CD, but it freezes and refuses to continue the installation process once it reaches "copying files". It is not my Drive either since I have used it to install other programs during this problem.
I was in hopes of downloading this version online and then re-entering my product key but only elements 10 is now available. I have tried the new version and don't see the reasoning to spend money on the upgrade since its very similar to version 9.
Why will my store bought elements not install???????

I am using Windows Vista on my Sony Vaio, this OS has not been changed and was previously used with this program. All updates on OS have been done and are current to the best of my knowledge. I was wondering however, if it was because I never deactivated the product key when I uninstalled the PSE 9 previously and may be preventing reinstallation, that is all I can come up with after racking the brain.
I'm am not tech savvy like an IT, but there are many things that I have reviewed in regards to the DVD install process failing. Any suggestions??????

Problem Reinstalling Adobe Photoshop Elements

I cannot reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements. I had to reinstall my OS (7) last night. The "setup" keeps saying that I need Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. I have 9.0. Can you help me? Thanks.

OK. I didn't have any problems when I reinstalled it last year. But it's probably the version of Explorer that is loaded now. Perhaps the Dell representative I'm working with can help me out with this when he calls me on Sunday. Otherwise, perhaps I can use Paint, which came installed on my OS. I'm a typesetter, not a graphic designer. So I really only need an image-editing program for cropping figures that come in from the authors. I'll check it out. I'm not in a position to spend more money than I absolutely have to at this time.

I uninstall Photoshop Elements 11 due to problems and cannot reinstall it.
When I run the installation setup file, the application offer me only to uninstall the previous installation.
As there is no application available (as I uninstall it), the installation process stops.
I've tried to clean the registry, manually uninstall using the Adobe recommandation for the Photoshop Elements 11.
Impossible to obtain a recovery of the installation process.

I installed Adobe CC months ago. uninstalled it.. said "with errors" now I cannot reinstall Adobe CC... can anyone tell me what happened so that my money doesn't go to waste?

Cannot reinstall PS5 on the same PC

Last week I have reinstalled my PC with Win7 Ultimate (clean install)
As I was having some problems after installing PS5 as well, I uninstalled it from Programs and Features to reinstall it.
Now I cannot reinstall it any more.
I checked with the 'Advisor' and it keeps saying I should first uninstall CS4 or CS5 though I never had CS4 and Photoshop has been uninstalled and the PC rebooted.
I do still have a LR3.6 installation, though, which I finally got working properly after trying twice as well and do not want to uninstall that.
The error I get:

No, the problem is not solved at all...
Sorry if I sounded a bit grumpy but this thing is really giving my nerves a workout.
And - I did not expect a crash either... I have uninstalled and reinstalled my previous version CS2 several times under other Windows versions, among others on a Vista laptop to see if it would be ok - no problem at all. Same with PS5. The only differece now is that my Win7 is 64 bits and I start wondering if that is not the problem... PS installed the 64 bits too as far as I could see but something has gone awfully wrong...
Windows is fine now and everything in and around it working fine too as long as I don't go anywhere near PS. After the last repair of Windows mentioned here I tried the Clear Tool again - and all went down again... Another repair...
At the moment I am giving myself a break from it all but to me PS and LR are the most important things on the PC. All else I could do from my laptop as well... I am playing with the idea that reinstalling Win7 all over again will be the only way to get rid of it and reinstall (and see if it goes any better)... but well - all that work all over again? Not an attractive idea...
If you have any more ideas what I could try, I'm open to suggestions...

After Dell uninstalled my Adobe Premiere Elements 9 I cannot reinstall it nor any other Adobe

I recently ran into a problem with my Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and in the course of trying to reinstall a missing MSVCRT.dll file they uninstalled my Adobe Premiere Elements 9. Now I cannot reinstall it. I keep getting an unable to contact the Windows Installer Service message AND a message that says it cannot install an MSXML.dll file. I have tried everything I know, they tried everything they know, are trying to tell me I need to do a complete reinstall of my system. Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on an Inspiron 2320. I have two separate program CD's for Adobe Elements programs and they both are unrelated disk. Neither one will install the program, they both get the same error. I had the program on a backup harddrive, I copied it and I can get the basic program to work by using the .exe file but I cannot get the addition items that originally came on a 2nd disk to install, no matter what I do. Apparently, I cannot install anything else Adobe either. AIR will not install, Adobe Premiere Elements 11 trial will not install. For that matter, I don't think the Adobe installer is installing. Dell keeps saying to talk to Adobe. Ha! If anyone can figure out what is wrong that adobe stuff wont install let me know. Or where I can get this MSCML.dll file? How to get it into the computer? I have already had to do 4 complete reinstalls on this computer since I bought it in June and I am not looking forward to having to do it yet again. Also, when I do try to install it, it install the entire program then gets to the end, gives me the error message (and you can find the files in the program files) but when you click OK or cancel the cannot instal MSXML file message, then it automatically uninstalls everything it installed and there seems to be no way to stop it.

Well, whatever Dell tech handled this, has no clue. They ruined your Windows Installer on a systemic level. Try to download the Microsoft Installer standalone package from the MS web site or let Windows Update update e.g. Internet Explorer. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid only reinstalling Windows from scratch will fix things...

I just switched to an SSD hard drive. Cannot reinstall Photoshop Elements 8, even though I have my original s/w disk. Hangs at the point where it says "Preparing to Install"...
Any guidance?

Thx, I tried that, but to no avail. Same end game. I've even used MacKeeper (yesterday) to delete the prior version from the hard drive, thinking that might be confusing the install app in some way. No help. Is it possible there is a Plist I need to delete somewhere?

don't forget that, in fact, your photos were not "contained" in photoshop, but on the hard disk of your ( now crashed ? ) computer. Tell us something about that crashed machine: do you still have it , did someone try to retrieve some info out of it, what was the diagnostic of repairmen, etc...Did you have a backup of these photos ?

Cannot open file, Photoshop is not compatible with this version of photoshop. 2 weeks

This has been a problem for almost 2 weeks now. Cant save any work in photoshop, files are unretrievable once closed. I get the same error message. I spent all of last week online with Adobe Tech support, screen sharing conference etc, now iMac isnt working properly. AAARRFGGHH.

Last week Adobe via screen share uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop, took a few hours and still nothing. I have lost many hours work here. Cant reach Adobe and I am really pissed off. I should add that last night I tried to contact Adobe to see what the hold up was. I went and tried to open up the case file (No it had not been withdrawn and was still active), but it would not open. So, I started up a new support file with a whole new case number, I received an email this morning from Adobe saying that I would have to communicate with them through the original case #. Went to respond to this email today and the NEW case file had been withdrawn.

I recently got a new HP PC 500-267c/64 bit Windows 7 computer. I installed Creative Suites CS5 and I cannot scan into Photoshop? It says I need the Twain Plug In. How do I get it?

I have a new HP PC 500-267c/ Windows 7/64 bit c omputer. I installed Creative Suites CS5 and I cannot scan into Photoshop.
It says I need the Plug In Twain to scan into Photoshop and can download it but nothing else. How and where
do I find the download?

There's no 64 bit TWAIN so you need to use the 32-bit version of Photoshop. Personally I'd recommend that you use the scanner software as a standalone application and forget TWAIN, which is rapidly becoming obsolete and more or less abandoned everywhere. All it does is call up the very same scanner software, only from within the PS UI, and tying up Photoshop in the process.
