Cannot Remove ActiveSync Device

Hi All,
some days ago I saw an ActiveSync device which user claims that it does not belong to him, so for security concerns I removed that device from ECP using Admin account. But automatically after few seconds it reappears, and it happened 8 to 10 times, I remove
it and it reappears. Now this device is stuck there, when I remove it from ECP with Admin Account, it gives error with big device ID 0823450458 does not exist. same result with Remove-ActiveSyncDevice cmdlet. And also it doesnt shown in ADSIEDIT Users ActiveSyncDevices
Container. I have to remove this entry what should I do please suggest
Virgo

Thanks for the reply, its just happening with this particular device only, I can remove the other devices of the same user, but only this one is stuck. Remove-ActiveSyncDevice is also giving the same error "cannot find the deviceID"...

  • Cannot remove activesync device partnership

    Hello,
In Exch2010, we have linked user mailbox which has associated mobile device partnership. But now we're not able to remove that partnership from server. Tried, EMC, Powershell and OWA, nothing worked.
Removed it directly from ADSI EDIT but still the corrupt partnership appears in EMC and OWA. This leading to user for not able to configure the device again.
    any help please?
    Thanks, Vik

    Hi,
Please try to locate device ID entry in question using
MFCMAPI as following to check this issue:
Please change Outlook profile to Online mode first
Launch MFCMapi->Session->Logon->choose the online outlook profile
Double click to open the user's maibox
    Expand Root Container
    Expand ExchangeSyncData container
Locate the old device ID entry in question, right-click on it and choose Delete Folder

  • Cannot remove "Network Device" with Easylink Advisor

    Hi,
I have a device that i cannot remove.  When I click on the tab for options I see "Details", "Rename", and "Track as Intruder" but not "Remove".  I have the option to "Remove" from my acknowledged devices but not this one.  This is on a PC with XP running Advisor version 3.11.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Easylink Advisor does not have the option to "Remove".
You can try uninstall and re-installing the software once.

  • Cannot remove bluetooth devices in iOS 8

In bluetooth settings, I am trying to remove a bluetooth device using iOS 8 on an iPhone 5; however, when I select the device, "Forget This Device" is greyed out and unavailable. I have done some searching and found that this can happen with jailbroken phones, but mine is not jailbroken. I now have two devices that are in my iPhone bluetooth settings that have this issue: my iMac and my iPad.
Anyone else seeing this or knows of a fix?

I just found a solution that worked for me by disabling Handoff in both my iMac and my iPhone.
    For OSX:
System Preferences → General and scroll down. Uncheck Allow Handoff between this Mac and iCloud devices
    In iOS:
Go to Settings → General, scroll down and turn off the switch for Enable Handoff
I was then able to select forget for the desired bluetooth devices, and then switch Handoff back on.

  • How do I remove previous device from iCloud account? (It is removed from Find My iPhone and iCloud Backup)

I recently got a new iPhone and traded in my old one. At the store, the representatives erased the contents and settings of the old phone (though they did run into some difficulties because of a pre-installed profile and I think were successful after a few attempts) and removed the SIM card. However, the old device keeps showing up on my iCloud account. I removed it from Find My iPhone and deleted the stored backup for the phone, but it's still there. I've talked with Apple Support about it as well as called the store on what I should do. Apple cannot remove the device on my account for me (which is fair), but I think it's strange that I can't remove my own device either. It won't give me any option to.
The Apple people reassure me not to worry and that everything is probably "fine", but I don't like this uneasy feeling that my iCloud account (and who knows what other data) might have an open connection or hole somewhere that I'm not aware about.
    Please help!

Some people I've talked to speculated (but could not confirm) that this "glitch" would be fixed once someone registered their own iCloud account to the old device; this would force the old device to be removed from my iCloud account and transferred to the new user. How long have you been experiencing this "glitch"? I'm guessing if Apple calls it a glitch on iCloud, it won't be fixed any time soon...

The person who sold you the device can remove the ID without giving it to you. Follow the steos in "What to do if you no longer have the device." In the artcle below. If you can't find the person or they won't do it you're stuck with a unusable device.

If you have a Change option that may lead to Uninstall as one of the choices. See also note 2 of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

  • Permission to remove mobile device from mailbox

    Exch 2007 sp3
I need to allow a tech to remove mobile devices from mailboxes. He is currently a Recipient Admin, but cannot delete devices.  I do not want to allow him Org Admin rights. What can I do?  Thx

You will probably need to create a custom RBAC role with only the appropriate permissions. You'll need something with more rights than a simple Recipient Admin but less extensive than an Organization Admin.
This should point you in the right directions:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/09/12/rbac-walkthrough-of-creating-a-role-that-can-wipe-activesync-devices.aspx
Yes, it is for wiping the devices (not for removing them from a mailbox) but the general procedure should be the same. I imagine you'll have to experiment a little to obtain the right combination.

  • ITunes on my phone is no longer playing some songs, even those I have purchased with my phone.  They will play fine on my pc itunes.  I also cannot remove the audio books that are on my phone and add others and the audio books on my phone will not play.

I am unable to play new songs purchased on my phone and some old songs on my ipod/iphone.  They all work fine in iTunes on my computer.  I also cannot remove the audiobooks from my phone when I sync even though I have unchecked said books, and I cannot play them either.

Thanks.  I have followed all the instructions as recommended and nothing has worked so it looks like the restore/update may have been interrupted - would loss of internet connection do this?
Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data.  Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!
Good luck, but if you expect miracle from that call good luck again.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

I have an Iphone 5s with an account icloud that isn't an iCloud id, why? I cannot remove and the mail that names id doesn't exist anymore; what can I do?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
You will need to show patience with the procedure and be prepared to demonstrate without question that the account belongs to you. Don’t expect access to be restored immediately and if you aren’t the owner of the Apple ID registered to the device the account won’t be reset.

I am having hard time ti find the way to remove 2 old iPhones from the list of my devices in Find my iPhone application for iPad. I tried to do it from my Mac in Mobile Me account but I do not see any options that will let me do it. I am sure it is there but I can not find it. Will appreciate advice.
In the upper right of the panel that opens offering you the options of displaying a message or playing a sound, remote wipe, remote lock... is a link to remove the device. The link is only present when a location for the device cannot be determined.
