Cannot remove Internet-/Mail Accounts (can't even see them).

Hey.
I don't know whats up with this, but when I go to my mail account preferences and press the "-" (minus) it says that "The mail account [email protected] is shared by other applications on this mac. You can remove it from Internet Accounts" and offers me a button to go directly to Internet Accounts. When I go there - I don't see the account. I have several emails installed and I cannot delete a single one. None of them is showing.
Any help?

Operating system is Yosemite.

I have an Iphone 4s with a carrier who doesn't have good signal where I like, and I'm switching over to another carrier this week. My Iphone has been having trouble receiving or sending texts for awhile because of the service provider, but I think this current problem is Apple. I had this issue when I first bought the phone less than a year ago, and it lessened (almost going away completely) for several months after exchanging it for a new phone.
New messages will still make an alert, but most of the time, I can't see who it's from or what it says-the message screen comes up blank, sometimes with the lines that are normally between texts but still blank. If I can see who it's from, sometimes I can click the new text and it will take me to the "compose new message" screen instead of to the conversation. My new texts will disappear for hours or days at a time and then magically reappear, and I haven't been able to determine a pattern. I don't believe it is from signal strength or Wi-FI issues, because sometimes texts and imessage work perfectly when the phone says I have bad signal and there is no available wi-fi, other times not going through when I have full signal strength and connected to full speed wi-fi.
Only texts from before the update remain on my phone, even after deleting the same conversations multiple times. I can't read or respond to my new messages.
Any advice/fixes would be welcome!

On number 1, do you mean backup rather than sync?
I have had times where backup completed but did not backup some databases. Running backup again was the solution. If this is what is happening, reboot the BlackBerry and reboot the computer and try again. If backup actually fails to complete and throws an error, what is the error?

Unable to click on Internet Mail Account

I recently received an email that I had to revalidate my personal email account that I have been using on the phone for the past two years. I follow the steps however when I go to setup, nothing happens with I click on the Internet Mail Account (from the list or the menu) My Enterprise account is working fine. I have tried the reboot both with device off and on and tried to follow other steps to delete and resend the service books. I have re-registered with the wireless network but nothing seems to work. This is really frustrating. I really wish I could have more management capability in the desktop software. Can anyone help?

Well I have finally won the war against this horrible phone after many wasted hours. Since none of my "options" seem to work I needed worakarounds for everything. Even though I was getting my work emails and it had it's icon back I called ny help desk at work to get a new activation code sent for my enterprise account. After entering the new password and waiting for it to sync for about 10 minutes... success. All of a sudden my personal email account appeared in it's own icon with all my old emails still in it. I have since hidden then main messages icon as it is more a hinderance than anything. Guess I know thw workaround if I ever need to do it again for a new account.
This all started because I had to change my personal email address password. I also have a Samsung phone and it was very simple. I hit the button for email and it asked for a new password. Why can't blackberry do this as well?!

Call your Carrier Aircel and activate BIS in your SIM account , When your Carrier activates BIS it will show you the Internet mail account option.
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

You're saying this is happening on a Mac?? Find My iPhone is a feature of iOS devices, not Macs. If you are trying to change the iCloud ID on an iOS device, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

E72 - removing e-mail accounts

Hi!
I got my E72 today and of course started fiddling with it.
Somehow I messed up my e-mail accounts, so I want to start over by deleting them.
When I try to delete the accounts, I get the following error message 'you have to be connected to remove an email account"
Since I've ruïned the settings for those email accounts I'm unable to connect.
Please help! Does anyone know to remove e-mail accounts via another way?

Tried that also.... The sever name of my nokia account in settings is the same as in the addressbar by signing in through http://email.nokia.com through my PC. But my account has been deactivated 3 times in 2 months with an email coming [email protected] stating that my phone has been transferred to another person. (*May be they got a dream about it. But actually, I am the same person who brought this phone with the same internet connection and SIM number).
I contacted the nokia helpline also .... First time they asked me to hard reset my phone through *#7370# , I did that and my service got activated after that. But, that was just the beginning, as, I again got the same email just after 2 days with my account deactivated. I again contacted Nokia care & they said that this time they will delete my account from their server & I have to again signup for the service. I did that also and the service got activated. But. Believe me, just after 3-4 days again I got the same email with my account deactivated. This time Nokia care executive have said that they have transferred this problem to their technical department and the problem will be addressed within a week. Since, 24-Aug-2010 my service is deactivated with no call or email from Nokia till now.
From these 10 years, I was the big fan of Nokia devices, but the way they are addressing this problem and selling this service which is such in a crude phase is very disappointing.
I felt like throwing my device away.... Such a let down by Nokia !!!

Internet mail account setup inactive

Hi,
When I go to Home>Setup>Email Accounts
the Internet Mail account button seems to be disabled, and hence I can never setup an account through my phone. I have my personal e-mails etc. added through the carrier to my phone, but I am curious to know what I can do to make it start working from the phone, as it is a defect in my phone.

My internet mail accounts won't work on Mail

I have a number of internet mail accounts, none of which I can get to work on 8.1. I haven't used OS X Mail in quite awhile, but wanted to try to get back to it with the Yosemite upgrade. I've input my incoming server and outgoing server and made sure the ports matched my site's mail.
I can't find any known issues with it. My Gmail works fine, and my internet accounts work just fine on Postbox.

Are you using SSL or not? Note that Yosemite will try and auto-set the settings, so it may be best to not set the ports manually and let Mail try and do it, if you just use your email address to set up the account.

Try holding down the Command key and dragging the file well off the sidebar.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.
