Cannot reply, compose or forward with gmail as of 11/2/10. Works in yahoo and explorer. Why?

All of a sudden I am unable to send, reply, or forward in gmail through Firefox, although I can when not going through Firefox. Someone else has posted this same problem. What is happening?

For the last three days I cannot delete/ reply/ forward or move messages in my Yahoo account once I open them. This only happens when i access the account on my macbook (safari or mozilla firefox) - the account works fine on my dell desktop so the problem is not with Yahoo. Any suggestions?

After opening an email message in Yahoo, when I click on the "delete/reply/forward/move" buttons at the top of the message, nothing happens - no drop down menu for inline text/attachment, etc. Normally, I just need one click to execute any of these functions. I cannot open a pdf file with aol e-mail. I went to preferences in Adobe Reader but did not know what to enter for Incoming IMAP and outgoing SMTP. I can open pdf files from windows explorer as I have associated .pdf files with adobe reader. My operating system is windows 7.
When I try to open the pdf file within aol e-mail I get a message: 'Your security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded'. I have not changed my security settings (Tools, Internet Options, security).

On the disappeared folders, try this first...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
On the screen issue, do you have System Preferences>Energy Saver>Sleep, set to Put Display to sleep in xx minutes?

Cannot sync my Curve 8530 with gmail.

Hi, I just noticed that back in April, my BB stopped syncing with my gmail account. In looking at my gmail emails, the last one is notifying me that I must resign on to gmail. I have tried 16 times and cannot get my BB to recognize my gmail account & password, yet I know they are correct.
Also, was wondering if the gmail enhanced plug-in will help but cannot seem to find on the BB website.
The event that changed my BB software & passwords was in purchasing a new mac, moving from 32 bit to 64 bit. I just downloaded your new software enabling the 64 bit and it still doesn't work.
Please help me asap as I do need to receive gmail on my BB as it is my mail email account.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
For the gmail integration I would suggest using https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha to make sure the POP access is not locked. Once completed then try to add the email account on the BlackBerry.

Email Forwarding with GMail

Hi folks,
I have my own email address, lets say called "[email protected]" and use email forwarding via a Gmail account, called "[email protected]", but when my email is returned, it says from "Me" <[email protected]>, which is annoying, is there anyway to get it to say "Me" <[email protected]> instead of the gmail address??
I have moved away from Entourage and am now using Apples Mail application.

Problems with composing a message with Gmail in RTL mode

It happens in RTL mode when you mix Hebrew text with numbers or with English text.
It happens only in Firefox. No problem with Chrome or IE browsers for example.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Type some Hebrew text without hitting the "enter" key. like שנה טובה
Gmail correctly identifies the text as being from an RTL language and aligns it to the right (RTL mode)
2. At the end of the Hebrew text type some English text (or some numbers ). Happy new year January 2015
So you end up with a line with "Happy new year January 2015 שנה טובה"
3. Start clicking the Backspace key. After a 3-6 clicks the backspace is not responding. (same bad behavior with the right and left navigation keys).
Tested in a new/fresh profile.
Also tried it with a different gmail account and got same problems.

Have os x 10.8.5. have downloaded and installed melodyne essential but when i open garage band i cannot see this vst plugin with my other effects. i also have Reaper installed and it shows up as a vst plugin there. am i looking in the wrong place ? ?

have never used this forum before (obviously) and thought the "ask a question" space was all i had. m;y app.
2 more questions : is melodyne essential compatible with garrage band.
would having Reaper installed interfere with the plugin being installed in GB ?

I have AirPort Extreme and cannot connect to the internet with a land line but the WiFi works

I have an AirPort Extreme and have been using for several months successfully, but as of two weeks ago, the line that I have hooked up to my desktop no longer provides internet service, but the WiFi works fine for the I-Pad and I-Pod.
I have checked with my service provider and my modem works successfully hooked up the the AirPort extreme or directly to the PC. When I am hooked in from the modem directly to my PC, I have internet for my desktop, but of course no WiFi.
If I connect the Modem to the Router and the router to my desktop, I have WiFi, but no internet service to my desktop.
I have replaced the network cable but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

It appears that there may be something amiss with the Ethernet switch that is built-in the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) or its configuration settings may be incorrect. I assume that you also tried using the other LAN ports on the AEBSn and the outcome was the same ... no Internet access via a wired connection.
One thing to try is to change the Ethernet adapter settings on the PC. It is possible that its current settings may be appropriate when connected directly to the Internet modem, but may be off for connecting to the AEBSn. If your PC's Ethernet adapter has options to control Speed, Duplex, & MTU, I would change these to the following respectively: 1000 Mbps, Full duplex, & 1500

I got this iphone 4S 4days ago. So far I have had to reset my apple ID password because it wouldn't accept the passwork I've been using for the past 8 years. then I signed up for email @me.com and it later wouldn't accept that password either. I've been using my gmail account just fine and now it is telling me that the password is wrong and I have not touched a thing. What is happening. The password works fine on my laptop.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Screen saver with "music on" doesn't seem to work correctly for me. why?

I don't understand what is going on with the screen saver when I have it set to work when music is "on."
My photos will play just fine if I manually pick them to play (i.e. a slide show). But when music is playing, and the screen saver begins to activate after the apppropriate time, I either get some "jibberish" writing in the bottom left corner or I get a solid colored white or black screen.
I've double checked that I have my photos selected correctly. And this was working correctly months ago. I just don't understand what could be causing this now.

Hi, I have a similar problem. When playing music, the screensaver has stopped working. Instead all I get is a white screen. I have checked all the settings and they are ok. The photos show and the albums show will work. But as soon as I switch back to slideshow I get the white screen back. It is even like this in 'Preview'.
Have you solved the problem now. If so, how?
Anyone else affected? I took a new software update to the Apple TV two days ago. Could this be the problem?
