Cannot right click and copy/paste in Bridge

I thought I read online that this was a common problem and that a recent update would fix the issue. I just finished updating Bridge and I still have no right click ability. Is there a specific update I need? I am using Bridge 5.1
I have used append metadata in the past but I need to be able to paste specific keywords for single images.

Can you be more specific (OS type and version) and what fields or files you are trying to use the right click menu on?

Cannot Right-Click and Copy in Win 8.1 Event Viewer

A minor thing, but a slight reduction in functionality that might just be a bug...
In all prior operating systems I've been able to drag across text in the Event Viewer then right-click and choose Copy from the context menu.
In Windows 8.1, right-clicking does nothing except flash the cursor several times quickly - as though something's failing in the event loop. Control-C still works to copy text.
It's not something I have installed that's causing this. I've reproduced the problem on a freshly installed system that's done nothing but display the Start Screen for the first time.

Using Windows 7 I just encountered this problem. It lasted for say 20 minutes and then reverted to normal. Did it revert to normal for you?

Frankly, I'd gotten out of the habit of trying to copy data from the Event Viewer (plus, the error count has gone down a good bit after all the Windows Updates), but after having brought the Event Viewer back up now, near as I can tell the
problem is fixed in Windows 8.1.
Well, maybe not completely fixed. There's no right-click context menu for things in the pane in the General tab, but it doesn't flash and I can copy text from everywhere with Control-C.

Firefox, Safari, and PhotoShop each handle embedded color profiles differently. I haven't tried it myself.

I just created my web site on iWeb and used a lot of my photographs which I would like people NOT to be able to right-click and SAVE AS or COPY.
I would also like to do the same with all the content on the web site that I create. Most software that I saw like HTML-Protector or LockLizard only works on PC Windows not on MAC. I used the DigiMarc option in my Adobe Photoshop CS2 to watermark my photographs, but people can still copy them and save them. I would really appreciate your feedback and suggestions on this. If you put the files on the Internet any file inside your page code can be copied and saved by the viewing machine.
Anything else is putting a padlock on a glass door.
iWeb uses low quality versions of your images (800X600 in a slide show page) and your watermark and this low quality are enough protection to prevent printing.
If you want "private" pages iWeb offers password protected Site creation.
Not much in between.

I have a new Airbook and I cannot seem to right click to copy, paste and the other options?

Hey Everyone... Can someone please tell me how to get my right click working on my trackpad? On my mac book pro it works but on this airbook nothing happens when i right click.. to do any of my wanted options I have to highlight then go to the edit menu.!

you can right click wither by Clicking or tapping with two fingers, or clicking on the bottom right corner of the trackpad. you can change this by going into System Preferences, Track Pad, Point & Click, Right Click.
alternatively you can always do a normal click while holding down Control.

The mouse right-click copy-paste menu often fails in Firefox 4. If I highlight something to copy and then use the mouse to right-click on it, the menu will appear down and to the right. Second, the highlighted command (i.e. copy, paste, etc) will be two steps beneath the mouse pointer. Third, if one chooses "copy" for example, your highlighted text might or might not (usually Not) be copied. This works as expected (perfectly) on this Firefox site, but fails on all other web pages. Your options are limited
You know one way - the registry entry.
The option:
Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone> Custom Level> Scripting section> Allow Programmatic clipboard access> Enable.
Has been changed by later versions of Internet explorer tightening security.
I guess you could try:

Bit difficult for me to test at the moment, but that could work.

The alternative is to give the app elevated trust.
This is a PITA because you have to obtain a security cert and sign the xap with it.
They expire as well and you then need to buy a new one.
Costs several hundred quid a year ( this is one time cost rather than per user ).

There is about a 5-second stall when I right click to copy and paste.

I have been having several issues with Firefox since I installed it two weeks ago.
First, there is about a 5-second stall when I right-click to copy and past something. I work off of this computer so speed is paramount. I do not have this issue with Explorer, Chrome, or and offline programs.
Second, when I send emails from my Gmail account, I will send links or imbed pics in the email. When that happens, the first link or pic will show up, and the rest are broken links or code. This does not happen on other computers or web browsers.
Lastly, I have the flash player crashing quite often (multiple times a day).
What steps should I take to remedy these issues? I really like this browser and the add-ons, though speed is what runs my business so I may have to switch to Chrome if I cannot fix these problems. OK, what mouse are you using? Brand, model? Your right click should register as a right click unless that has been overridden by a preference pane. If your Mouse preference pane looks like this, your right click should be the equivalent of a control-left-click on a Mac.

I can right click to copy a web page link, but it will not let me rick click again to paste the link to the body of text

I use firefox as my web browser. My start page is www.msn.com where I can access hotmail. Once I have logged into hotmail and click on (Create) new mail I have this problem. If I go to a web page link, ie; www.msn.com, I can highlite the address and then right click to copy. When I go to the body of the email I'm working with, and right click again to paste I DO NOT GET A SCREEN THAT HAS PASTE ON IT. I tried this again by logging into Internet Explorer signed into my hot mail account and tried it again. It works in IE with hotmail. How do I get FF to focus on a new tab? I right-click and choose "Open in New Tab" and the Tab appears in the Tab bar but I cannot access or see the new page.

I open FF ver.10. My Home page is Google Search. I use a Bookmark and open, say, Hulu.com. I select a link by right-clicking and choose "Open in New Tab" The little tab in the tab bar opens but I am still viewing the Hulu.com main page and cannot view the new tab.
This happens even if I use middle-click to open a new tab. It happens with all links on any website I visit.

You can check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page. 
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website. 
Filter: general.useragent 
If general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose Reset.

Windows XP - no icons, no taskbar, cannot right click

Wasn't able to view all forums, am hoping this question will appear in the correct one.
Helping a friend with his Dell desktop - Windows XP SP3. When we try to start up, the desktop background picture appears, but that's it. No desktop icons, no taskbar, cannot right click, nothing.
When I open Task Manager via Ctrl-Alt-Del, I can click the New Task button and run a few programs. IE, Outlook Express, and others. We cannot get to File Manager or any file window that would access his data. Control.exe does not open. [NOTE: sorry, I said
Control.exe but meant Explorer.exe]
I opened a command prompt window and ran chkdsk without /F, it listed a number of index errors. when I ran with /F and said yes to run at next boot Chkdsk did run, but no results, no changes were made, even with /F.

Ugh. I had this exact problem many years ago three separate times. I fixed it by going into the control panel...have you just typed in "control" or "explorer" to see if that works? Unfortunately I cannot recall for
the life of me what I did after that...I can try to see if I can find something on it later on today but I was able to find my solution online so it should be out there somewhere. There shouldn't be any reason to wipe the system, but the third time it
happened to me was when I moved up to the next OS. Just sayin'
