Cannot run javascript - options/content does not even show javascript
try using options/content - does not even show javascript option. i uninstalled program and re-installed and get the same result. using xp.
Is this a global problem that JavaScript is not running on any site? The on/off setting is still available in the about:config preferences editor.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''java''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) if '''javascript.enabled''' is bolded and set to false, double-click it to switch it back to true. This takes effect right away, but you'll need to reload the problem pages so Firefox re-reads the scripts.
Does that fix it or are particular sites still problematic?
One way that your normal default preferences could be changed is by an extension, and another is by external software creating a user.js file. If this problem recurs, you can investigate both of those.

For what purpose are you trying to pair them?
Only supported peer to peer apps such as photo transfer or multiplayer games can connect to other iOS devices via Bluetooth. You initiate the connection inside the app running on both devices. -
I have an ipod 2 just bought an ipod air and would like to transfer everything over from ipod 2. i backed up the 2 in itunes and when i connect the air it does not even show up. any help would be greatly appreciated.

please help i am going off my mind since i updated my iphone 4 when i go to sync it tells me it can not be used as it requires 10.6.3 or higher
my mac is running on 10.6.8 and i upgraded my itunes to 10.5 everything seems to be in place but the phone is not even being recognised in

Just bought an iPad Air. All apps from previous iPad transferred over except one. The app does not appear in my purchased apps. How can I move this app over?
Some apps do indeed come off the market. The vendor stops selling or supporting them for whatever reason.
That is likely what happened.
See if the app is still in the App Store. If so, you can download it. If not, it is gone. -

Firefox will not start. browser window does not even show up.
When i click on the firefox startup icon (either in the startup menu or the desktop shortcut), i get nothing. I have ccleanup browser monitor running for cleanup and i get an indication from there that firefox has stopped.
I've tried uninstalling firefox and have tried a couple of the more recent versions and still get this problem. After reinstalling firefox it seems to work for a few days and then this happens again. Once it starts, the only way is to reinstall firefox, but that's clearly not the answer to the problem.Makes no difference whether I am in safe mode in the browser, and/or safe mode in the PC.
FF21: fresh install on Win 7 works fine.
Shutdown: restart: FF21 blocks at ~50 meg of program loaded, eventually opening up, but still unusably slow.
AV turned off, Firewall turned off - no different.
FF21 Hardware acceleration turned off - no different.
Fresh install AGAIN - works fine. -

Context. I speak a little mac, but please dumb stuff down for me - like give me processes, otherwise I get a bit lost
Yesterday my EHD worked.
I haven't changed anything. Although I did recently run a software update (I'm on LION)
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
Today it doesn't work.
I've tried plugging it into the other usb port but still nothing. I tried resetting but still nothing. I tried blowing into the ports. Nothing.
I tried a few things on the support forum including running something through terminal, I can't really remember what I did but that didn't work.
I also tried doing a disk repair thingo but I'm pretty sure the EHD wasn't listed on the left bit.
I have a usb stick and that is being detected by the macbook. Just nada when it's my ehd.The point though is you still have your data. Had it been the internal hard drive that failed you would have the external to work from. Remember, any hard drive can fail. In fact IT professionals will tell you that there are two types of hard drives - those that have failed and those that are going to fail. The only question is when.
Many external hard drives come with warranties, how long they are depends on the manufacturer. Give them a call, you may be able to get a new one for free. Worth a shot, anyway. -
ok so I went to buy a an album on iTunes that I havnt used on the device before. It said I needed to do clarification questions but I cannot remember the answers to them. When I go to reset the questions it sends to an email that is now non existant. It wont let me change it what so ever, I cannot find it anywhere to delete or change. Please help

It was working just fine before I downloaded the update.
Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

in iTunes 11.1 (I26) , I cannot find how to delete podcast listings showing undownloaded podcasts. Delete does not work. Option Delete does not work. Dragging to the trash does not work. Under Edit, Delete is greyed out. Mac OS 10.6.8.
Tom at the Genius Bar told me that Option Delete would work. It does not.
I had to upgrade to iTunes 11.1.(I26) because it is required with OS7 on my iPod Touch (5th Gen). I have tried shutting down iTunes, then shutting down the entire system. This is the first in many visits that the Genius Bar gave me a solution that did not work.
This is a big awkward computer locked to my desk. I would rather not unlock it and then carry it through a shopping center to the Genius Bar if i can avoid oit.

I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:

In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

I have no access to photos on iCloud. The icon does not even appear on my mac or in iCloud.
The Mac is running 10.9.4. on a mid 2007 model.
My iPhoto is 7.1.5.
I was told that my system was too old to support the required upgrades that would allow me to to see photos on iCloud; thus, I should not be the latest iPhoto. I cannot add an event on my iPhone or iPad calendars. The "plus" button, or add event button does not even appear when I open the app.
Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly, that did not fix it. I changed the sync setting as you described, but I still don't get my older events. I have turned my IOS devices off and on again too. One more piece of information, the only events I see for October are recurring events. Either one day events like birthdays set to repeat every year, or events within the month that spanned more than one day. No one time events or appointments are showing.
