Cannot run the samples in Flex Builde beta 3

The installation of Flex Builder finished OK. I did choose to
install Flash 9.0 in both IE and FF, but for some reason when going
to the examples it asks me to install Flesh 8.0. Even if I say yes
to th eprompt it doesn't display.
I have even re-installed the flas Active X manually and even
regieterd it as per instructions on the Installation of Flex
Builder 2.0 beta 3 page,, but still no luck...
Any help is appreciated.

Here are a few cases I know about where the ActiveX plugin
for FP won�t
be installed normally:
� IE is running at the time, and especially if activeX
has been run
� Outlook, or some other program that runs the IE
engine under the hood,
is running
� Older ActiveX version installed that needs some Dark
Magic, or
explicit uninstallation of some sort
In the first two cases, where IE is in use, the plugin will
normally be
installed after a reboot, but until then it will look as if
the
installation didn�t work.

How to build/run the SampleVideoPlayers in Flex Builder

The source for building the Flash Player and AIR Sample Video Players using Adobe Flex Builder 3.2 is located \Sample Video Players\Flash Player\Source and \Sample Video Players\AIR\Source respectively.
Flash Player Runtime
(Mac and Windows)
• Copy the file playerglobal.swc located in the Sample Video Players\Flash Player\playerglobal.swc folder to <FlexBuilderInstallDir>\sdks\3.2.0\frameworks\libs\player\10 folder.

Flex Builder Beta M4 uninstall failure

Flex builder beta M4 has expired 53 days earlier than
promised. But that's little trouble. Awful trouble is that it is

I am mainly using Flash Builder Beta 2 which like I said does install fine(using the stand alone version). In code mode it does crash sometimes, but is rare, it happens now and then, but what I really want to get working is the design view. i am new to flex, and would really like this to work.

I was thinking about re installing Snow Leopard to see if I could get Flex working, but I have not yet done that. I have heard that others have flash builder or flex working in snow leopard, can you confirm this?

Unable to run the form from Form Builder 10g

HI,
I am having a problem with running a form with form builder 10g.
I have create a form with some text boxes to display values in a table.
When i compile and run the form it does not run The error shown is
HTTP 403(Forbidden) You are not authorised to view this page.

The port number 1740 changes everytime. I dont know why.
I have started the OC4J instance before starting the Form Builder.
I have made the changes to the runtime preferences in the form builder.

But it doesn't work when i try to run the form from Form Builder.
ie Program-->Run Form
The form works properly when using the 'Run a form on the Web Utility' provided with Developer Suite.
Can anyone please suggest a solution. I have searched the forum but didnot find a solution.

One of our DBAs has installed the software.
It was a default installation, I believe, as no configuration was done during the installation except for increasing the virtual memory size.
Post installation we changed the tnsnames.ora file and the sqlnet.ora file.
Do i need to configure something ?

As far as I know there is no download resource for older Macromedia programs and it is highly unlikely that one as old as version 3 of Fireworks will be able to work on a Windows 8.1 system. I was unable to get a Studio 8 version installation on a Vista system, and likely even an XP system (cannot remember that far back).

In the Internet Explorer, go to : Tools->Internet Options-> Security->Custom Level, in section “Download”, check if the option “Automatic prompting for file downloads“ is enabled
In Excel, go to Excel Options-> Trust Center-> Trust Center Settings-> Macro Settings: check the
options “Disable all macros except digitally signed macros” and "Trust access to the VBA project object model"

I'm a new user of JDeveloper and trying to use ADF Faces.
I followed the instructions to setup ADF faces in JDeveloper.
While trying to run the sample demo provided(adffacesdemo), I get the following error messages
Error: "http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" is not a registered TLD namespace.
Error: Unable to load taghandler class: http://java.sun.com/jsf/core
Error: "http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/EA14/html" is not a registered TLD namespace.
and many more errors of this sort.
Now I have managed to succesfully run JSF applications in JDeveloper without using ADF faces. No problems with that.
I have no clue as to why these errors are coming.
Any help is appreciated.

Go to this microsoft site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312172 and/or this microsoft site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768. I would suggest removing both to start with a clean slate. I had some problems with installing Office for Mac 2011 over 2008 and found out that by completely removing both and starting from a clean slate provided the best solution. Kappy is correct but some sniglets do get left behind. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Cannot run the macro SOLVER.XLAM!MainEx error message

Ive had this problem for awhile but am now needing to use solver for my schoolwork.
Anytime i try to use the solver function under the data tab this error message pops up.
I have tried taking off and readding the add-in under options.
when i try to access solver in the visual basic panel it asks for a password which i have never set
Im running excel 2013 on windows 7
I have tried many things and am exhausted. No solution has been posted to this problem on the site or anywhere on the web

As far as I know, the Solver add-in code has the password by design, it is protected on purpose and copyrighted. They are designed for use from the spreadsheet only.
Then, as the error message:" Cannot run the macro SOLVER.XLAM!MainEx error message." Please try to do the following methods to fix the issue:
1. Open VBE (Alt+F11)>Click Tools> References>set to SOLVER>Show immediate code pane (Ctrl+G)>Copy/paste (or write): application.run "solver.xlam!auto_open"
2. Disable the other Excel add-ins, such as
Adobe PDFMaker.
3. Repair Office 2013.

Cannot open help pages in Flex Builder 2

I have been working with FlexBuilder2 Beta 3, with no
problems.
Today I installed the release version (FB2), with a clean
workspace. After copying the source files, I can compile/deploy the
applications. One thing does not work however: the help in FB2.
Help>Help Contents will open up a new browser, and wait
forever, showing a white background.
Help>Search will index the help file, and show results,
but clicking on any result will again show the blank browser page.
The
Flex Start Page shows up correctly. I can run the 3 programs
under
Flex Samples and open the
Restaurant Finder project. However, none of the items under
How Flex Works can be opened.
I noticed that they link to some site ending with:
.../how_flex_works_2.html
embed=false
(with the first e in embed underlined).
I think this sould be: .../how_flex_works_2.html
?embed=false (or something similar).
Can someone indicate how this could be corrected? Maybe it
can be done in the FB2 installation dir?

Hi Randy,
I am using the standalone version: 2.0.143459.
Help>Dynamic Help and
Help>Search, both open OK. They have their own view to
the right of the main edit area. The search works fine, i.e. it
will find and display results in this view. It is only when I click
a result, or a dynamic help topic, that the main (internal) browser
window opens, and starts loading "something".
I have setup FB2 now such that
Help>Contents opens in an external browser, and that is
also working fine.
My problem now is that I am unable to see result-pages or
dynamic help topics. That is not working for the moment.
BTW: When this main internal webbrowser help view opens, a
progress-bar appears under the views, that shows something loading
up to about 30%, and then it freezes.
I'm considering re-installing FB2 again tomorrow, after
tonights backups have been made. Maybe a fresh install will work
better.

But the problem is I cannot fint find DBManager.h. I read on a certain post we could use <occi.h> instead of dbmanager but then i get an error with the types
Dbmanager,OracleService and ResultSet. Can anyone please help me out , The code wont even build i am using Visual studio 2010 and i included all the header files.

This website has some sample codes that I want to run, but I'm getting errors. For the very first sample code, I removed ; in line 1 and it reduced number of errors. I can't post image because MS has to verify my account first.
Someone told me that this is missing MFC and main method. I googled and MFC is like SKD made by users. So, my guess is that I need to find the MFC this person used and include them as like #include ".h" and have int main(). Is this true? If it is
true where can I get the MFC? and how do I know which MFC this person used?
MFC stand for Microsoft Foundation Class Library is a library that wraps portions of the Windows API in C++ classes, including functionality that enables them to use a default application framework. To work on MFC you have to download Visual
Studio . As you are new to window So i will suggest you to start with VS2008 onward .And Before you start working with MFC have some fundamental of Win32 As well.
