Cannot "Save A Copy As CS6" In After Effects CC

Hi all!
My After Effects CC does not have the "Save A Copy As CS6" function available in the save menu. Can anyone help me? Another project I am on has CS6 but cannot open files created from any of the options listed in the attached screenshot.

You should be able to install trials of all three currently available versions.
I know of a number of people who have all three installed and, as I said before, I have several versions installed at home. If you want an official Adobe word on it: opening After Effects projects from previous versions and saving back to previous versions

Keeping a production network disconnected from the internet isn't a bad idea. If I were your IT team, I would have this policy too. However, Adobe offers enterprise licenses of Creative Cloud that don't require an internet connection. (At my full-time job, our production machines aren't connected to the internet either and I'm lobbying for them to upgrade us to CC too.) Contact Adobe for more info on that one.

How to link premiere pro cs6 to after effects cc?

I've been working on a project on premiere pro cs6 and linked some clips to after effects cs6. After upgrading my laptop's software to Yosemite after effects cs6 wouldn't work and I could't open the linked clips neither on the premiere pro preview, nor on after effects cc.

All what happens is that it says step 1 out of 2. It finishes and tells me to analyze again. It doesn't actually make it to step 2 so my footage doesn't change and its getting frustrating. What version of Premiere did you have before?
What version of AE did you have before?
What version of Premiere do you have now?
What version of AE do you have now?
Exact version numbers down to the last decimal, please.
In the future, I'd suggest NOT updating in the middle of important projects.

Importing an Illustrator CS6 in After Effects CS6

When I import the file into After Effects CS6 I only see a black scree and you can move the squares. What am I doing wrong?

The top pic. is a Ai file.
Well here is what I do in Ai I have a white background create a few squares and a text, all in different colors. I am not using black. I same the file and then import it in After Effects and choose to keep layers. And I all I get is a black square with non of the graphics that I created.

AMD FirePro D500 and Premiere Pro CS6 and After Effects CS6?

My company just recently purchased the new 2013 Mac Pro with the AMD FirePro D500 graphics cards. Everytime I try to open After Effects CS6 I get a GPUManager Sniffer Result Code: 3 error and Premiere Pro CS6 sits on the splash screen indefinitely. Does Adobe not play nice with the new card? Am I out of luck?

In effort to fix the problem while waiting for a response I unstalled both AE and PP CS6 but not I can't seem to reinstall them from anywhere.... so I don't know what version of After Effects I have/had.
My operating sysem is OS X 10.9.2 (13C64) . My graphics card information is:

Does Adobe Premier Pro CS6 and After Effects CS6 support the graphic found in the new late 2012 27" iMac?

Hi there guys! I´m very, very, VERY close to buy a full configuration iMac (the late 2012 27" model) but I have reed in different forums that Adobe Premier Pro CS6 and other applications from Adobe such as After Effects DO NOT support the graphic cards found in the new iMacs....
is this true??????
i really wouldn´t understad the logic behid the decission of picking a graphic card that is not supported by one of the leading video editing sofrware used today.... specially when this computer is suppoused to be an Editing Animal....
I hope this rumor is not real..... then I can be just... really happy and get my new desktop computer and work, work, work, work

Hi there Daniel, thanks for paying attention to this subject. Today I got an answer from Larry Jordan from his blog (I believe he is one of the "videoguys" from http://videoguys.com and he said that actually adobe does not support those GPU that we will find in the new late 2012 iMacs. However it seems there is a way to make that work out.....
here is his review on his new iMac, at the very botton you will see comments from people and his answers... one of the last coments is mine regarding this subject, this is what I asked and his answer:

Update CS6 question After effects & co

I plan on upgrading my system meaning a clean new install with Mavericks, so far I'm with Lion,
So I read I need at least the Adobe After Effects CS6 11.0.3 Update,
so, do I need to just install one update or do I have to go thru all of them ? 11.0.1 then 11.0.2 then 11.0.3 ?
Does this applies to other soft like Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc from CS6 ?

Cuda in premiere cs6 and After Effects 670 GTX

I'm trying to activate cuda in those programs but the option appears LOCK, why?
I bought that graphic card mostly because of that... O my god any idea please?
I know I have to change something but I don't want to make a mistake or something THANKS.

Ok, guys so what i did was to put the name of my graphic card in the .txt bla bla, and now it detect it and I can activate, then in setting nvidia control panel I've change one thing that I've seen in two videos and now it works BUT...
In after effects O GOD I can see everything so FLUID... but in premiere with few effects it works like if my CPU was doing the JOB I mean I can't see anything different why?

I cannot "save" my newly reduced size video after using the "TRIM" feature...I get "The Operation could not be completed". Why?

I would start with my original AVI file, then hit duplicate to get a duplicate file to work on....I then would use the "TRIM" feature to shorten the video. Then when I hit "close", and it prompted me to name the newly reduced file, and saved it appropriately.So I did this procedure with two of my AVI format videos and it worked flawlessly.
But I have tried to do this same procedure with a half a dozen more AVI videos and it will not allow me to name the modified file after I have "trimmed it" and save it...when I enter the name for the modified file and hit "close", I get the message "The operation could not be completed". Why isn't it allowing me to save the files??
(I am working with OSX 10.7.3, Quicktime Player 10.1 iMac 3.06GHz Intel Core i3)

Cannot register my copy of CS6

I purchased Creative Suite 6 from an Adobe authorized reseller. The software is working, but I cannot register CS6 on the Adobe Site. The message says: You cannot register your software because your serial number come from a volume licensing program. Is it legit for a reseller to sell copies from volume licensing program?

Adobe After Effects CS6 cannot be opened because of a problem

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place - I can't find sections navigation on these forums.
Running Mac OSX 10.8.5
I tried uninstalling AE CS6 and then reinstalling AE CS6 - same issue happened.
AE was working fine until I tried to open it today. It's probably been a couple weeks since I last used it.

I am trying to follow your advice and install AE CS6 through the Creative Cloud application, but it seems that I can only install AE CC through the Creative Cloud application.
The text on this page ( http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-cc-and-cs6-apps.html ) seems to indicate that I can choose a version to download, but when I navigate to the linked download page ( https://creative.adobe.com/products/aftereffects ), I am not given the option to choose which version to download. I can only download AE CC through Creative Cloud.
Below is a screencap of what I see when I am on the download page - this differs from the screencap shown as an example on the page instructing me to go there.

After Effects CS6 copy paste from other apps is broken

Hi there,
After Effects just recently stopped accepting copied text from Microsoft Word (and many other applications incl Photoshop).
Although it does allow me to copy into the AE GUI search bars, but still not from there into my composition text.
I have tried a system restore to before the problem developed, however it did not work. I also found this (http://shisko.blogspot.co.nz/2008/01/copy-paste-bug-in-after-effects-fix.html), but the patches are for XP and Vista.
I'm on Windows 7, running AE version 11.0.0.378, let me know if you have a workaround! This is very frustrating!

After Effects CC 2014 - Rendering / saving project file to CS6

Hello all,
I'm writing here to try to understand the st**** decision to exclude mp4 and mpeg from the render possibilities from After Effects CC 2014. I would gladly go back to CS6 but as of now I have more than 40 hours of edited video project in CC 2014, which of course cannot save project files to CS6, which is another brilliant move by somebody in Adobe that has the title position of "the dude for giving ideas to p*** people off". Now the problem is this, if I choose to export just a single clip from my composition of course I cannot export it to a container and codec of my choosing since it cannot be exported to Media Encoder, and has to be done in After Effects or I have to make a composition for each and every file, in order to export it to to the Media Encoder.
Now I ask you good people any way to move my projects back to CS6, remove this unusable piece of software and be over with it, I simply don't have the time to be toying around with Adobe's new found glory for Apple and exporting stuff to QuickTime, taking 3 times longer than mpeg. Tried with OpenSeasame and by just exporting an XML file but none work so if there is any other way please let me know.
Good thing I only got 1 month and didn't pay for the whole year...

Did you use any of the new features in either AE CC (the original one) or CC 2014? If yes, you're kinda stuck.
If no, you'd have to engage in a two-step process: backsave the AE CC 2014 project to AE CC, then open the project in AE CC and backsave to CS6.
