Cannot save new names/info into Contacts

When I save new people and their respective contact info to iPhone Contacts, they do not appear the next time I look at Contacts. However, when I dial manually, I see the person's name next listed at the top of the phone (i.e. the info that I had tried to save appears). Not fixed after restoring.

Edit: I solved the problem. Had to ssh and delete the address book files

Getting the Source File name Info into Target Message

Hi all,
I want to get the Source file name Info into Target message of one of the fields.

Requirement :
1) I am able to get the Target file name as same as the source file name when i check the ASMA in Sender & Receiver Adapter , with out any UDF...............this thing is OK
2) I took One field extra in the target structure Like "FileName" & I mapped it Like
Constant(" " )--UDF-----FileName
I Checked the Option ASMA in Both Sender & Receiver Adapters
Here iam getting the Target File name as same as Source file name + Source File name Info in the Target Field " FileName".
I Dont want to get the Target File name as same as Source file name. I want like Out.xml as Target file name.
If i de-select the Option ASMA in Adapters means it is showing " null" value in the target field "FileName".
Please Provide the Solution for this

Cannot save new outlook contacts or access Global Address List

I have outlook 2007 connected via VPN to exchange server. I can
1) Send and receive emails
2) Edit contacts that have already been created some time ago
3) Copy and paste existing contacts
However, when I try and save a new contact it says the Microsoft exchange server is not available. I am connected because I am showing as connected and contacts created via the outlook web app appear almost immediately in my Outlook. However,
I cannot save any edits to these but can copy and paste as a whole record.
Also, I cannot access the Global Address Book at all.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Please check whether the issue happens in Outlook Online mode. If it doesn’t happen in Online mode, please create a new Outlook profile to have a try:

How ti save date/time info into .lvm

Hi,
i need to save date/time info (Date:Time) into one .lvm together with my other signals (dynamic data). any suggestions?
it should look like this for example
results.lvm:
date/time signal 1 signal 2 signal 3

and so on for every loop.

The LVM Express VI was designed to be easy to used. To facilitate this, data formats are fixed and cannot be set by the user in the Express VI. You have several options to get the format you want.
If you don't need all the header information in the LVM file, roll your own code. If you are only saving one line of code at a time, this is particularly easy. You will also need to write your own read code, assuming you are not just using Excel or something similar.
Use the formatting capabilities of your analysis program to create the date code. Excel, for example, is perfectly happy to generate a time/date string based on a simple number. You may have to convert from LabVIEW absolute time to Excel absolute time, but that is fairly trivial. You can make a macro to do this.
If you need the LVM header info, write the file using no data to get the header, then fill in your data with your own formatting. Read-back will be harder, since you will need to write that yourself. However, you can probably get most of the info from the LVM file read (maybe with an error), then read your own formatted data from the end of the file.
WARNING: this one dives into vi.lib code. While you cannot change the formatting in the top level of an LVM file, the subroutines do take formats on a per-column basis. So, you can modify the original code to do what you want. Open the front panel, then search for ex_SignalsToSprdsheetStr.vi. Give it the format string you want and you are off. Note that this format will be in place everywhere you use the LVM code unless you save the entire hierarchy to a different location (using Save With Options->Development Distribution, include vi.lib files). Be very careful with this. You can easily get into cross-linking problems (linking VIs from the wrong location).
One final comment. You can find the specification for the LVM file format in Specification for the LabVIEW Measurement File (.lvm), Version 1.0. It includes everything you didn't want to know about the LVM file format.

Cannot Save New Document to SP2010 from Excel 2007

I have two users who cannot save a new file from Excel 2007 to Sharepoint 2010 using the network share path. They receive the following error:
You cannot save the file you selected. The folder you selected is not an actual file system location.
However, other users can save this way with not trouble at all.
When they have the Excel file open, they go to Save As... and the window opens. Then they type in the path to the Sharepoint library where they want to save the file: \\intranet\DavWWWRoot\site\library\
At this point, they should be able to click the Save button and the window will refresh to the Sharepoint library. They would then be able to enter the name of the file and click the Save button again. However, when they click the Save button the first time
to refresh the window, nothing updates and the path they just typed goes away.
My first thought was an issue with permissions, but I've checked and double checked that they are in the correct group.
Then I decided to go even more basic and have them use Windows Explorer to browse to the location. They were able to.
I then had them right click within Windows Explorer, select New, and click Text Document. Not only were they able to create the new text file, but I confirmed it updated
the Sharepoint library successfully. So, that obviously rules out any issues with permissions.
Out of sheer frustration, I even tried mapping a network drive to the Sharepoint library and having them save to the mapped drive location, which of course yielded the exact same error.
I have also double checked that the Webclient service is running on the machines.
One more piece to note is that these two users are still running XP. They'll be upgraded to Win7 later this year, but this needs to work before then.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My bookmarks are disappearing/reappearing randomly and I cannot save new ones

Since this morning 8/17 I have had an odd problem with my bookmarks. Initially both my Blogs and News and Views sub-folders came up empty while nothing else was affected and the bookmarks in them were not to be found elsewhere. Later, after a reboot, I was able to get back some but by no means all of the ones in those folders. I also cannot save any new bookmarks (which would have solved the problem since I can look up the websites I'm currently missing). Also the history/show all button brings up the bookmark menu but it is not saving anything as 'show all today' comes up empty.
The only thing I can think of was that last night, while trying to solve an unrelated problem, I went to tools>options>privacy and cleared my history from there. Unfortunately, I was not having this problem right after that although I rebooted my computer afterwards.
I just updated firefox a few minutes ago so it isn't an upgrade issue, I think.
What the heck is going on?

How can I get photo and info into contacts from photo

I have photos with critical contact info. How can I transfer into contacts on iPhone and iPad?

Are the photos on your phone/iPad? If so, just edit each contact and assign that photo to them.

Bookmarks box will not show up and I cannot save new bookmarks.

I cannot save any new bookmarks and the bookmarks box to enter in information about the website you want to save will not pop up. I already did the trouble shooting for extensions and themes with no results. What should I do?

I would try first to reset all settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. You will not lose any data by doing this and test it out. If you still cannot save a bookmark, then you will need to restore your iPad and not restore from back up. The instructions for restoring are outlined in the article below.

I've attempted to save 2 numbers directly to my phone since turning on the synch with my Outlook contacts via Exchange, and they just disappear. Shouldn't it simply save the number and put it into my Outlook contacts? Or will it only overwrite from Exchange to my iPhone?

What method of syncing are you using? Are you set up for Exchange (ActiveSync) over-the-air or are you syncing using iTunes?
The ActiveSync method works just fine for me. I'm on version 2.2 of the firmware. I just tap Create New Contact for a number and type in a name -- it gets added and syncs with Outlook/Exchange.

Error while attempting to save new zone entries into DNS

I'm far from proficient in DNS, but I've been able to use the GUI for simple DNS configuration. If you provide info on what exactly you're trying to do, there are folks here who may be able to help you out. Have you successfuy configured DNS via the GUI in the past? If so, what are you trying to change? If not, what are you trying to accomplish?
If you're new at this altogether, you need to configure a zone - you'll want to name it with a domain that you've registered. If not, you can try using a "fake" domain. You're probably best off avoiding .local. .lan or .private would be better, but the cost of registering a domain is pretty cheap, so that would be the best bet. Once you have a domain, you need to name your server - this will give you a FQDN for your server - something like myserver.mydomain.something.

WRT54GC Cannot save new port forwarding configs

I have a WRT54GC, and I use port forwarding, and have several ranges configured already. But now I find that I cannot add or change any of the existing configurations. Whenever I modify anything, and click Save Settings, the browser window just hangs there forever. Reloading, or opening a new browser window shows that no changes were saved. If I open the forwarding page and click Save Settings without changing anything, then it works OK. But that, of course, is useless.

Hi… I hope you are not making any changes on a wireless PC. Delete an entire row from that page and try saving that. See what happens. I could not guess why are you doing so much of port forwarding? You can trigger the port whenever you access any service from outside. Forwarding is to be used only for hosting a service (such as FTP server) or for specific devices (such as Xbox or VoIP devices). If you are not able to save the settings when you delete the row in that screen, just go ahead and reset the router for 1 min by pressing the reset button and reconfigure it.

Cannot save new course.

In trying to add a course page , I am finding that I can't save the new course. It is timing out.
We have courses starting on Monday that I need to get into the system today, but can't now.
Anyone else experiencing problems?

I see a successfully saved course in your site this morning - BIOG 152 [...]. A quick test on a test site I have in production was able to create a course. I don't see a widespread problem. Can you try again and if it happens again describe the detailed steps?

ICal cannot save new entries in Leopard!! When showing Birthdays Calendar

It happens after upgrading to Mac OS X Leopard. I'll tried the same iCal and Address Book with a Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 and it works fine!
The problem:
- Occurred after upgrading to Leopard
- When turning on the "Show Birthdays Calendar" (in Preferences...)
- Changes in iCal, e.g. new entries, amending existing entries, deleting entries, etc., will NOT be saved!
- It works again if the "Show Birthday Calendar" is unchecked
- It also work with a "small" address book but not a BIG one -- My original one has over 2,500 contacts. If I replace it with a small one, these's no problem encountered.
Appreciate help!

Could it be that the setting Sync Services in Entourage doing the erasing entries?
I am having fits trying to stabilize calendars and sync. Entourage to iCal to .mac to Nokia E61i is an awful chore, often long hours not successful too.
