Cannot Save Printer Configuration

I am attempting to save a preset in the printer dialog box. Specifically, I checked the "Collated" box, but it never saves when I save as a preset. It always unchecks itself the next time I print.
Does anyone know how to save the setting?

Looking at you post, I first thought this may have been a Word issue. I created a preset in Preview of 3 copies and not Collated, and it stuck. But then when I checked Word 2008, it was showing the same preset with 3 copies and collated unchecked.
I also thought that it may be due to the number of copies, as there would be no reason for unchecking Collated unless you were printing more than one copy. But in creating another preset with just one copy, this preset was saved and correctly shown when selected.
So I am not sure why your preset is not working. My first suggestion would be to try running a repair disk permissions. This can resolve user access issues to system files.
My other suggestion is to try trashing the file 'com.apple.print.custompresets.plist'. This is the file you settings are saved to when you create a preset. The file is located in your user Libary > Preferences. When you trash it and then create another preset, a new version of the file will be created again. Hopefully this version will let you save your preset.

Hello:
I shutdown the directory server 6.3.1 on Solaris 10, then modified the file dse.ldif by hand, then restarted the DS.
Now whenever I try and make changes through startconsole it gives me an error. I have put back the *.startOK" file and even rebooted.
I cannot seem to figure out how to correct this problem. Any ideas?

Well I finally figured out a way to correct this problem. Not sure what caused it or if this is a good fix of not.
But what i did was go into the DSCC
selected my directory server and then chose the server configuration tab
I then enabled a plugin, stopped/started and then disabled it, and then stopped/started.
then i could make changes in my startconsole (isw settings)

Why firefox cannot save print file in win64 bit?

In this windows ,I cannot save any print file.(like Adobe PDF,XPC Document Writer,...) my computer goes to hang.(unknown problem) before I can type file name to save my computer.
But I can print web page to my printer.
So I reset print config in about:config.(in my 2 PC) but no difference.
But in 32 bit version windows, is working.I checked in windows virtual PC, I can save print file.
Could you check and resolve this problem?

It's probably a JavaScript problem, since those pop-up windows are controlled by JavaScript code. That's not uncommon with Safari. It's likely the JavaScript coding is suspect; Safari seems to be especially sensitive to that.

Cannot save the configuration after zone changing.

The customer is trying to save the configuration after a Zone changing. The error message is the following:

Does someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

The root cause is the compact flash card. There was a software fix attempted in 3.0.2 but is not 100%. If the problem shows up again, the reload will clear it, but the ultimate fix is to replace the compact flash card with a new one. In some instances, based on your service provider, this may be a complete chassis replacement. This requires license re-homing as licenses are tied to the chassis serial number. I believe it has to do with the number of writes to the CF card. At some point, the card goes into a read only state and reload is the only option to clear it.

Crystal Report Server: Cannot save Database Configuration in CMC

I already posted this question as SAP internal CSN message (message number 1896093 2009) but did not get any answer so far.
I have installed a test version (which I'd like to become permanent some
day...) of Crystal Reports Server 2008 on a local machine to be able to
share Crystal reports within our department.
I created a couple of reports which I would like to get updated
regularly. The issue is here that I get a logon screen to the underlying
SQL Server as soon as a user clicks on "Refresh" when viewing a report
from InfoView. The SQL Server is running on integrated security
via SSO, which I cannot change...
To get around this issue I would like to change the default Database
Configuration of the reports. Hence I do the following:
1) I open the Central Mangement Console
2) I select one of my reports
3) Rightclick on Properties
4) On the Default tab I select Database Configuration
5) the config is set to "Logon Screen" and I ant to change this to SSO,
so I set this
6) Now I click on Save
=> The setting is reverted to the old "Logon Screen" settin1g
This behavior is the same for all the reports I'm using.

P.S.: Ultimately this issue arises, because I cannot refresh my crystal report data in batch job mode, because the reports are reading data from an SQL server, which allows SSO-logon (integrated security) only. Thus I have to open each and every report for update manually and click on the refresh button.

I did not really try this, but viewing and editing my reports in Crystal Reports 2008 Designer works perfectly fine. As well can the user view my reports in the InfoViewApp.
Also, does it revert to the login screen setting immediately after you click Save or does it show the setting as changed after clicking Save but, does not retain it when you come back and check the report settings again?
The data is reverted immediately after clicking "Save"

CMC cannot save database configuration from a crystal report using WS

Hi all
I have a report in Crystal reports which is using a web service as a datasource. All works fine since web services is not using ws-security but when I deploy my report on CMC i can not save database configuracion. This is because i don't want it to prompt me for the logon credentials.

Cannot save, cannot print PDF form in Adobe Reader 9

I downloaded a PDF form for an application from the internet. It opened in Adobe Reader 9, where I was able to fill out information in the PDF. Some areas required a scroll bar for long lists of information. Now, I cannot save the PDF or else all of my information disappears!! I cannot print the PDF, because all of the information is not immediately visible, due to scroll bars. It only prints what is immediately visible.
I need help - I cannot save, print, or exit out of this form that I have filled out multiple times at this point from attempts to Save.

What happened is that version 1.0 of the security update was available for a bit of time this weekend, and that disabled Rosetta. Version 1.1 brought it back.

Hello, in my business, employees need to print multiple documents per day.
But for these specific documents, they need to print with a size of 105%.
My question is how to save the print configuration because they need to remplace the size by 105% every time ...

Cannot save configuration for zone files

I'm migrating from 10.3 to 10.4.9. The 10.4.9 system is on a new hard drive so it is a fresh install. I have no problem setting up the BIND config manually from the command line but I like to use Server Admin to start and stop the server. When I noticed I was having problems resolving my servers domain/subdomains, I used Server Admin to take a look at what was going on.
The problem I seem to be encountering is that Server Admin shows that the zones exist but it does not display any of the zone data in the window to the right of the zone list. I did a quick check on the zone files and found them to be configured correctly. When I tried to edit and then save the configuration using the Server Admin GUI I receive an error telling me that the zone had no name and that the configuration could not be saved.
Just to test things out a little bit, I dragged the DNS configuration file from the 10.3 config from the Server Admin Applition, rebooted the system back into 10.4, and dropped that configuration back onto the application window. After this process I can see the zone data in the right hand window but when I click the save button I receive the same error.
My only reference for 10.4 is the Apple Training Series: Mac OS X Server Essentials which describes the Server Admin GUI for the DNS functions and the associated files in a manner that I am familiar with but which are significantly different then what is actually appearing in the Server Admin application for 10.4.9.
Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong?

Unfortunately, there are a number of flaws with the Server Admin DNS tool that absolutely require you to modify the files manual. For instance, you cannot properly set up MX records is the zone you are working on is NOT responsible for the mail server. In other words, you can't set up MX records. Also, the name server text fields are bugged in a way that makes it extremely difficult to add more then one name server. The tool is useless until these problems are fixed.
Basically, as you said, I used the dns tool to set up the files, then edited them manually in order to get them into a functional state. I just have to make sure that I don't ever use the tool to edit the configuration as it will blow away any changes that were made manually.
FYI The Server Admin web tool for Apache is also just as annoying, deleting data that has been added manually.

There is no way to "zoom" a photo other than for viewing - you can crop it and then thecropped image is saved when you click done and you can print it

You cannot save data typed into this form

Hi,
I created a small interactive form using transaction SFP and I included this form into a WDA application.
The data I am pushing from the system into the form is visualized, but there is also an error message stating:
You cannot save data typed into this form.
Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records.
At first I thought something was wrong with my credentials, but after requesting new credentials this message still appears.
Does anybody know what is causing this message and how I can fix it?

Hi.
1. Are you able to generate an interactive form with the save option through a report program or by WDJ or were you able to view an interactive form by any means with your current credential configuration -> i am asking this coz eventhough you have the right credential, cases can be that it is not properly installed. (check out the standard WDA examples)
2. try using ZCI and xACF layouts. (for ZCI generate the scripts)
3 . Check if the form properties is set to interactive form.
4. Check if you have the generated xml in the interface of your form.
Hope you have checked these already.

Hi,
To configure your ODBC DataSource, go to Control Panel ---> DataSources(ODBC) (If you are in a Windows environment).
Select the tab System DSN. If you have not added your data source, then do so by clicking on the Add button. If you have added the datasource, click on the Configure button to configure it.
Give the datasource name, then the database name.
You have to give the hostname, service name and server name. I guess, in most cases, the datasource name and host name will be the same, service name and server name will be the same. If you are using TCP/IP, the protocol will be onsoctcp.
There will be a file named Services under C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc where you have to give the port number for accessing this server.
It will be like this <service name> <portnumber>/tcp
