Cannot Save To This Filename (with log) (trusted location fail)

Hello,
We are receiving the "document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename..." error since upgrading to 11.0.10 when digitally signing and replacing file on our network using W7. We have tried adding a folder path into the trusted locations panel per this thread Cannot Save as to network after update to 11.0.10 This did not work for us.
I turned on the protected mode log after adding the folder where attempt is made and shutting down adobe then creating a document there and attempting a digital signature. Below is the log after one attempt if it helps.

Are you saving to a server?
You can often get a message that the file is locked or in use, if the server is using the file, and especially when the server admin did not configure the server properly. Try saving to your hard drive, then drag and drop later to the server when you are done, you will be much happier.
Also use alphanumeriocas in your filenames (A-Z, 0-9) Charchters like /\:; are the worst to use as they can often interfere with a unix OS. _ ( ) are safe to use. The Bullet • when mac OSX first came out made your files invisible.

I am a newer user, to CS4, and recently when I try to save my work (to the same filename) I get this error message: "Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder". It is very inconvenient to have to constantly be saving my file as a different name. The weird thing is that about 25% of the time it CAN save (to the same file name) but the other 75% of the time I am forced to rename my file. Is there any fix for this?

Cannot save to this file name

I am working with CS3. My problem is that everytime I hit save on a document I get the following error message:
Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.
This message seems to be coming up everytime I go to rewrite a file. I hit ok and then hit the save button one more time and it saves the message.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Are you saving to a network? Is a virus scanner/ protection tool running on your system? The issue most likely is caused by some of these processes locking files and only releasing them when you hit the save a second time (as the previous attempt will already cause a system request to update the timestamp)...

I also have the same problem, however if I use Firefox or Opera sites with ssl connection work fine. Still, I can't use Google Chrome (ssl), Safari (ssl), the Mac app store (generally), or the iTunes store (generally). Both the iTunes store, Safari and the app store won't respond, and Chrome displays this error: (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT). The problem persists regardless of what network I'm using. Also, when trying to access the keychain or iCloud, the process will not start (will hang). I didn't have these problems at all before updating to 10.7.2.
Sometimes rebooting helps, and sometimes not. If the problem disappears by rebooting, then it only lasts a few minutes before it reappears. It is very frustrating, especially since there doesn't seem to be any obvious or consistent way of which to fix it.
I'm also using a Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2010.

It appears that your document gets corrupted, try printing the file through Adobe PDF printer and then check the issue.

You're making this way too difficult. All you have to do for a link to a web page is drag the URL from the Address Bar to your Desktop or some other location of your choice for these folders you're creating. No editing, or pasting required. If you want to go back to the web site at some point, just double-click on the web link in that folder.

My Applications folder and Mac HD is gone from finder and cannot locate it anywhere. Also now getting download errors on everything and they cannot complete. This happened with iPhoto tonight. Any ideas?

I don't realize when this started because I don't download apps that often or look for my applications folder. But I cannot find my HD anywhere. I know it has been less than two-three weeks since the last time I specifially accessed the applications folder. Its odd because tonight I tried downloading iPhoto and got an error that it was unable to download ... try again from the app store. I did this twice with the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

Basically I ended up bringing the MacBook into the Apple Store. It was determined something was going wrong with my hard drive and I ended up getting a new MacBook because I could not wait for it to be fixed (I was already starting to get behind on my school work). There was no real solution.

Is this possible with LOG ERRORS?

I have a procedure which does a bulk insert/update operation using MERGE (running on Oracle 10gR2). We want to silently log any failed inserts/updates but not rollback the entire batch no matter how many inserts fail. So I am logging the exceptions via LOG ERRORS REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED. This works fine actually.
The one other aspect is the procedure is being called from Java and although we want any and all good data to be committed, regardless of how many rows have bad data, we still want to notify the Java front end that not all records were inserted properly. Even something such as '150 rows were not processed.' So I am wondering if there is anyway to still run the entire batch, log the errors, but still raise an error from the stored procedure.

Correct - you need to use SAVE EXCEPTIONS.
I know there is the FORALL command, but I figured there was a way to do this with MERGE since the procedure does an update if a match is found instead
But you can use MERGE with FORALL and add the SAVE EXCEPTIONS to handle your problem.
I still have a question as to what the source of the PL/SQL table provided by the parameter Is this table being prepared in another PL/SQL procedure, in Java, or how? Are you confident that the number of rows in the table will be small enough to avoid a memory issue?
If in PL/SQL you could pass a ref cursor and then in this proc use a LOOP with a 'BULK COLLECT into' with a LIMIT clause to do the processing.

Generate and Save PDF / Append Filename with Username

When you select a row to download as PDF in FormsCentral response table, and Save As dialog box appears, it would be nice if it appended the filename so we don't have to do this ourselves everytime. If you forget to append the filename it will use the generic name and overwrite the previously saved file with generic name. Seems like something Adobe could have easily programmed in, but failed to do so.

btw:
Timestamp would mean nothing to me when I receive 200 job applications and can't identify the applicant by filename. It would look like gibberish at that point. Also, you can add the option upfront to concatenate fields so later the filenames are appended with 2 fields (for example) that are selected by the form creator as part of designing the form. In that case, whether it's a survey with 5 generic questions or a 50 question job application, each set of filenames would be unique in its own scenario.

Why is Adobe 11.0.10 suddenly saying, "Cannot save to this file name"?

I've had no issues saving fillable PDFs that I've edited up until this week. I don't know what caused the change and I've tried researching the issue. Has anybody else experienced this and found a solution?

replicating the issue saving to the local drive and there was no error, but
typically I save on a network drive and it wasn't an issue previously.

That's so, but you won't be able to create a new alias until your account is updated. There's no way of knowing how long this will take: you should get an email telling you when this is done (though I didn't) but you could check by sending yourself a message to [email protected] from time to time. When it stops bouncing you may be good to go with the aliases.

My girlfriend's account was a newly created icloud account and aliases can be created successfully.
However, my account was migrated from the old mobile.me. Wondering if this is the possible cause?
Maybe try creating a brand new icloud account and see if the problem persists. The issue then becomes an apple fault.

Lightroom cannot open catalog because it cannot save to this location

I recently had the logic board replaced by apple yesterday.
I assume LR thinks this is a new computer.
Light room backups are located at such and such location and I know exactly where they are...(there is a whole string of backups but I had an issue deleteing those from another post....so not to go there right now)

Why does this applet (with an audio clip) fail to load in a browser?

Hello Java Experts.
I am able to compile and run the applet in an IDE. The problem lies when I attempt to run the applet through a browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.). The entire applet fails to load (in the browser) when it includes code pertaining to audio clips, but works fine when it does not contain audio clip related code.
Here is a Short, Self Contained, Compilable, Example that illustrates my problem:

Cannot Save Preference??? (EAR4)

I cannot save preference for every and all settings in the Tools --> Preferences. When I changed some values, click OK and open the preference again, all the old values re-appear.... Is that preference cannot save at this moment???

Yes - the 'quirks' I meant were not being able to shut down (only intermittent - we didn't hit it before pushing it out) and access to SQL Worksheet (only with certain connection names, again, we never had the right or wrong connection name to bring up the error). That is exactly why we are pushing the code out internally and externally before production. You all try stuff the developers and QA people would never think of :)
