Cannot scroll up or down in Firefox, just started

A couple of days ago, it just started not scrolling. I can scroll with the mouse scroll button. I cannot scroll with keyboard arrows, up and down. I have checked everything I can think of. There is no symbol anywhere that I can see. I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Checked my options and all. Cannot tell if anything is wrong on some of them. The ones I think I know about are ok. Please help. Thanks.

hello, maybe you're in caret browsing mode accidentally. if so press F7 in order to leave caret browsing mode again - then the behaviour should be back to normal...

cannot get my AOL email via Mozilla- have not had issue before- started and did update to newest version- when sign in to mail- just churns til it items out

This is bad - I have an Apple automated response that they got my report on 12/6, 12/10 and 12/14, and I haven't heard anything from them since the 6th when I got one reply that told me to do things I tried before reporting the problem. Between the 6th and 10th I replied to their response 4 times and they ignored me, forcing me to report a problem with two more items that wont download but getting no response.
How do they get away with this kind of behavior, especially for someone with FIVE Core 2 Duo macs and thousands of dollars of of iTunes store purchases? I'm getting really ******.

You can experiment with how Firefox would run after a reset or reinstall by creating a new profile.
A new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also should have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):
    firefox.exe -P
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
You'll click the Create Profile button. I recommend using the default location suggested (in other words, don't click the button to choose a different folder). Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
After Firefox settles down, try Outlook. Any luck?
If it works, log out of Outlook, exit Firefox, restart it and check again. If it doesn't work the second time, one possible explanation is a a system-installed add-on getting picked up or activated.
When returning to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the Delete Profile button. But... it's a bit too easy to accidentally delete your "real" profile, so I recommend resisting the temptation. If you do want to clean up later, I suggest making a backup of all your profiles first in case something were to go wrong.

  • I can open my hotmail email but cannot reply or send new messages. this just started last week.

I can open my hotmail email but cannot reply or send new messages. this just started last week. Don't know why not. Is this a Firefox issue or a Microsoft issue? 'Cause it's near impossible to get Microsoft to get back to me. Hope you can help me.

I resolved both my problems.  The problems with Walgreens is that my own Frontier internet connection is very slow and will allow only minimal  downloads.  When I used a Verizon Hot Spot to download pictures they downloaded without any problem.  So I am working iwth Frontier to resolve my slow internet speed.  The problem with pictures be syncronized to a gallery was resolved by using the Help column and the pictures were easily deleted by following their instructions.

  • Safari cannot scroll up and down.it is 'frozen'

Safari. Can open an adress on safari however the page is ,grey, and will not scroll up and down. It is completely frozen, so i cannot use internet at all. Any ideas what to do?

Start with the third suggestion in this list - the one about resetting Safari.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Reset Safari. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Quit Safari and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • Firefox just started to do this if on one user account someone has firefox running another user account on the same computer can not connect to the internet through firefox while firefox is running in the first user account

    Windows XP/Windows 7
2 user accounts on the computer. If each acct is logged into the computer and tries to have firefox running only one can connect to the internet at a time. Have Verizon FIOS for ISP and this just started to occur. Firefox version 8 but also happening in firefox 6.0.2. How can we run firefox in two computer accts at the same time? Thank you

I am having exactly the same problem. This worked on all versions of Firefox up until mid last week. It started failing on Wednesday, coincident with the installation of Firefox 8.0 (see attached gif showing the automatic update on that date).
To fix the problem, you have to shut down Firefox 8.0 on one account, switch to the other account and then you can run it there.
If Firefox 8.0 is running on on account, the other account will run Firefox, but when you enter an URL it waits for quite a while then reports "The connection was reset. The connection was reset while the page was loading".
We also use Thunderbird 8.0 and it does not exhibit this problem, and works at the same time as Firefox 8.0. I suspect they might share some components.
I'd be happy to supply more details if needed.
    Thanks,
    Ed

  • Texting lags iPad and shuts down on me, just started.

This just started on my iPad. When I go to text it lags horribly . It also will just shut down without warning. I've tried all the tricks that are found here. Still cannot seem to fix it. All updates are complete and have been running iso 7 for quite a while so I don't think it's that. Tried to delete the text messages I have in there now, all 10 conversations. Just locks up and boots me out. Any ideas. Keep in mind I've tried everything suggested in communities. Next step, factory reset or can anyone tell me what to do. The keyboard only lags when text messaging.

Well tried reset and it didn't work. It only lags when I'm sending a message and the message center just boots me out.

  • Cannot scroll up and down within a website, is it Firefox or the site?

I was looking into this intriguing artist's website, http://www.friedlerthinking.com/
but when I click on the link "personal projects" the list of links is now cut off.
Is this the Firefox browser or the website.

That is a [[Flash]] object that doesn't have a scroll bar implemented for the side bar menu. You can contact that site and ask to add such a scroll bar.

  • Every time I try to print a file to Adobe PDF, I get the message "Firefox is not responding". When I try to cancel the print job, all of my Firefox tabs shut down. This just started today. Up until today, I could print a page to Adobe PDF with no problem.

The print dialouge box comes up. I select print to PDF. Another box comes up and says it is preparing the document (This is the way it has always been). Then, nothing. It says Firefox is not responding. If I try to close out the print box, it not only closes the page I was on, but any other open tabs in Firefox. How can I fix this?

I didn't see that I could edit the question before "I answered myself." I updated the question.

  • Firefox just started saving all files as firefox documents, why? how to fix?

It was actually working fine today.. but then it started doing this and it keeps doing this. Everytime I right click a link and hit save as. It ALWAYS saves it as a firefox document, no matter what it is. It can be a pic, an mp3, you name it and it saves it as a document. I tried typing .jpg at the end of files when I saved them and still that didn't do anything..
Please help. It's not doing this in internet explorer... But I don't like that browser lol

  • Why can't i scroll up and down in pages

I have created a newsletter in pages.  All of a sudden I cannot scroll up or down to move between page 1 and 2 of my document.  The only way I can get to page 2 is if I zoom out to about 50%.  Then I cannot read the font.  So frustrating.  How do I fix this?

Check your settings (gestures) in System Preferences > Trackpad
Sometimes just a restart can help.

  • I cannot scroll on internet sites.

When i get on an internet site. i cannot scroll up or down or sideways. i'm able to scroll on itunes or other apps but cannot scroll on any internet site.

Type '''about:config''' in the address bar and hit Enter key. When you see a warning, click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' button
-> In the '''Filter bar''', type '''trackpoint'''
    * right-click '''ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled''' preference, click '''Modify''' and change the value from '''-1''' to '''0''' (zero) or '''1'''
    * click OK
-> Close '''about:config''' tab and Restart Firefox
Check which value (0 or 1) works.
Not related to your problem but do the following:
-> Update Firefox to the latest version 10
    * [[Installing Firefox on Windows]]
-> Update All your Firefox Plugins -> https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
    * '''When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)'''

  • Why can't I scroll with up/down arrows in iTunes 10.5.2

After updating to iTunes 10.5.2, you cannot scroll up or down with the scroll arrows.
The lists only move two clicks when you hold the arrow. There is really is a bug.

Really Annoyed is exactly right. This seems such a simple problem that it's crazy that it can't be solved.
Is it anything to do with iTunes being "overloaded" with files.
I have approx 130GB of music - and about half of them are AIFF files. Does that make a difference?
