Cannot see all folder in share drive

I had a PC (WIN7) with share drive network. The problem is i cannot see all folders in share directory (total 68 folders), it's show 38 only in my MBP 10.6.7. But seems without any problem in TIGER or other PC. I had to try re-install, but still got same problem!
Anyone else experiencing the same? Any suggestions as to a fix?

Guest users cannot see or connect to shares on Snow Leopard 10.6.1

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard from 10.5. After upgrading, users connecting as "guest" to my computer cannot see any of the shares (and therefore cannot connect to them).
If I connect as my administrator user from another computer, I can see all the shares, as well as all the volumes.
I have verified that the Guest Account is enabled (Allow guests to log in to this computer) in the Accounts preference pane, and of course File Sharing is turned on in the Sharing pane, and all the shares are listed with the correct permissions.
This is a very strange and perplexing problem. Any help would be most appreciated!

If they are connecting as a registered user they can see all the shares....but as a guest they cannot...I'm trying to find what might causes that problem....I really cannot think any logical reason... Everything in my options seems to be ok... So after the 10.6.2 update your problem solved ? I think that you were very lucky man...If you find any answer to that problem please let me know...

When I go into my email account through Safari, I cannot see all of my messages. 26 may show on the screen but it says I have 32. However, at the bottom right it appears as if all the messages are showing and the arrow to get more is not highlighted.

if it is showing you 34 mails them it is correct. when you see your mail. apple has a smart way of arranging your mail.suppose you recieve 4 mails from one email id it will show you under one highlighted mail. so when you open a mail from anyone trying scrolling it down and you will find your missing mails.

My picture files open up off center so I cannot see all of the bottom part of the picture. The ruler across the top read "0" to 13.5". Down the left side of the picture the ruler reads 3", 2",1", 0, 1", 2",3" etc. This leaves a three inch empty space at the top of my viewing area and I lose three inches of the bottom of my picture. I cannot figure out how to adjust this. I have tried the screen modes and they do not fix my problem. What can I do to solve this problem?

PSE 8.0 Cannot See All Tools

Good Day Eveyone:
I cannot see all the tools that are listed in PSE Help for PSE 8.0. For example Healing Tool - I only see the Spot Healing Tool on side of my screen. I do not see both clone tools. How do I get these other tools listed? Thanks.

Hi Brice,
Which version of DW are you using? Which OS? Have you experienced this issue before or is this your first encounter?
As a first step, I suggest you try recreating Preferences (Re-create preferences) and see if that helps.

Users able to see documents via URL when they cannot see the folder containing them?

I took an AD group out of the permissions list for a folder in a document library. Then I ran an incremental search.
Now, users in that group cannot see the folder (correct behavior!).
Users in that group do not find documents in that folder when performing a site search (correct behavior!).
BUT, users in that group CAN open a document in that folder by using the full URL to a document there, the full link.
This seems like a security violation - how can the members of that removed group open a document in a library that they cannot even see?
SP2010 Enterprise, SP1, Feb 2014 CU on Windows Server 2008 R2
Win7 clients with IE10
I have reviewed the groups in use and the permissions lists where they are used and don't see any source of "leakage".
Any ideas why this might be happening and how to fix it?

Based on your description, my understanding is that the user without permission can see a document in a folder by using the full URL to a document.
I have followed your description to do a test, but I can’t reproduce your problem.
My
suggestion is that:
Sign in your site with a user who has full control
permission to the site, and go to the documents in the folder and check whether the users in that group without permission to the folder have permissions to the documents.
When users in that group use the full URL to a document , please check whether the current user is the user in that group without permission to a
document in the folder. You can try a test in another computer.
Please clear your browser Cache and then test again.
If the issue still exists

Cannot see all my pictures in apple tv 2

I noticed that in my apple tv 2, I'm not seeing all my pictures from my iphoto library even though I have selected to share entire library. I have tried many things like editing file names to end with .jpg, create a new library and restore previous backup, deselect home sharing, re-select, restart computer and apple tv 2. I've tried all these things and nothing. What I have noticed is that some the pictures that are not sharing to my apple tv are all the one's I took after I got my new computer with osx 10.7. I use to have a power book g4 with Tiger and upgraded to an iMac with Lion 10.7 back in Janurary of this year (2012). So all the pictures I took after I got this new computer are the one's not showing up on my apple tv. I do have some events that I took before I got the new computer that are also not showing either so I'm lost here. Don't know what to do.

Oh, this is probably relevant....
In Library view, the files that are in the 2011 folder are all called DSC00nn-2.NEF ie now have -2 appended to the name.
If I try to add an existing Folder, ie 201, it takes me to Import, and wants to Import the whole lot. ie they are all checked.
Looks like my catalogue is broken, and my worry is all my old edits are lost too.

I cannot see all the data in target disk mode

I have an issue where my MacBook pro is not booting into the Yosemite. I see the progress bar hangs at about 45% on the startup screen. I called Apple support and they asked to use the target disk mode to connect to my mac and then copy data like that. I am using the same technique but I am not seeing all the data under users. My data under the folder users had another users data that I cannot see.
How can I see my data for all the other users? Help please!!!

Could be that the the data or directors on the HD are corrupted.
- Copy all data you can
- Try cloning the whole disk to another disk before you attempt recovery methods.
- Try repairing the HD via Disk Utility
- Try a data recovery program

Cannot see Bridge folder on BlackBerry's SD Card in PlayBook Bridge Files

I have learned that when downloading a file through the messages app on the PB, the file is stored in /Media Card/BlackBerry/documents/Bridge. These files are accessible on the BB through the email the attachment came in. However, I cannot access these files directly through the Bridge Files app as I cannot see the Bridge folder on my SD card. However, if I download an attachment from my BB and select Store on Media Card, it is stored in /Media Card/BlackBerry/documents/ and is fully accessible from the PB.
Any ideas why I cannot see the Bridge folder from the PB? Is that by design? I know it is hidden by default, but I make it visible so it shows in the BB's Files app. If I rename the folder to Bridge2, it is fully accessible on the PB and subsequently loaded documents are in a newly-created Bridge folder, which is again hidden by default.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this. The linked support article addresses the issue directly (thank you both), but the method recommended there (importing the entire AVCHD folder structure) didn't solve the problem. The small number of videos that iPhoto could not see originally also did not get imported, though the ones that it could originally see, did. Luckily since the percentage seems to be small (~10%), it is not prohibitive to open them one by one in Quicktime, re-export them, and then import them into iPhoto. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future. Thank you all for your suggestions.

When browsing documente library contents from client application, cannot see all files

We are currently running SharePoint 2010 Enterprise in a small environment. On one of my sites, I have a document library with various documents uploaded (docx, xlsx, pdf). I am unable to see all the documents when browsing the library from Word/Excel/Adobe
Acrobat. For example:
- At the root level of the library, I have 5 folders
- In Folder 1, I have 10 PDF files
- If I go into Adobe Acrobat 11, for example, and paste the address of my site in, I can see the library and I can click on it and see the 5 folders. If I click on Folder 1, there are no PDFs listed. Even changing File Type to "All Files"
still returns 0 results
Things I have tested:
If I view the library in the browser, I can see the 10 PDFs in Folder 1. They are not checked out and they are visible to everyone
If I click Library>Open w/ Explorer, I can see all 10 PDFs in Folder 1
If I try using other client applications (Word, Excel, etc..), I cannot see any files in Folder 1, even when I change the File Type to "All Files"
If I click in some of the other Folders in the same library from within a client application, sometimes I can see the files but most times I cannot
What could be causing this? I do not see any errors in any of the event logs.

I think my observation is when you browse from word/Excel/Adobe it is taking your local system credentials and so not showing files when you access.
local system account means the account which you used to login to the system.
For example,you logged into the system as contosomo\xyz and you are trying to connect to the site using Contosomo\setup account,what my point is though you logged in to the site using the setup account site is taking your xyz account credentials and so it
not showing any files as xyz obviously will not have access.
To confirm this, you can try by giving atleast read access to the local system account (in this case xyz) to the library and then test again whether you are able to see the files or not.

When booting from SSD I cannot see all the files on my HDD

Hi All,
I have installed an SSD in my SuperDrive port and made this my default boot drive. I am able to succesfully boot using the SSD with newly installed OS Mavericks. However once I've booted from the SSD my HDD only shows a handful of files but not my Home Folder with the majority of my files. When I restart and select to boot from the HDD I can see all of my files as I should. I can also see the SSD with the OS Mavericks installed. I'd like to boot from the SSD and run all applications from it while simply opening my HDD to view any stored files, music, or pictures. Does anyone know why my HDD isn't showing everything when bootign from the SSD?

HT201385 how can I see a folder in iCloud drive with documents from my computer on my other devices? Seems like it only works with iApps like Pages etc.

I have iCloud drive set up on all my apple devices and all is current, but I have a older I put in iCloud drive on my laptop. How can I get to those documents in that folder on my iPhone and iPad? Is there also a way to grant access like in the good old days for someone to drop a file to me in a quasi-public folder in iCloud drive. We did this years ago in OS7...why not now?

You're going to find that pretty much every cloud storage system works in a similar way. Some, like OneDrive, will allow you to select what folders sync to and from every machine it's installed on.
Maybe something like that would fit your needs better.
