Cannot see Blend Mode previews

I have a very odd problem. When I set an object to Multiply/Screen etc I cannot see a preview of it on screen. The odd thing is I can see it change on my layer thumbnails in the layers panel.
I have been looking through any and all settings, yet I cannot find what I have turned on or off.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.

HP 8625, cannot see Print Preview or Select Pages

On my new HP 8625, I cannot see the Print Preview feature nor can I select to print specific pages. This used to work on my HP c309, so I'm thinking perhaps it's a printer driver issue. I am specificially having this issue with Excel but it may be occuring in other programs as well.
Any suggestions?

Hello @TheEveryman , welcome to the forums
I would first suggest checking to see if you have Print Preview and the option to print specific pages from other programs, besides Excel as this will show us if the problem is solely within MS Excel, or all programs, which could be a driver issue.
Skipping forward a little bit and assuming the issue is in all programs, you could try Uninstalling the Printer Software, restarting the computer and reinstalling the printer, here: HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers.
Please let me know which operating system you're running on your computer and the results from testing the other programs on your computer. The more detail you include, the better!

Cannot see video preview while editing

Years ago, I captured and edited a movie I had made, using an earlier version of Premiere. Today, I want to do some re-editing, but even when I render the entire video, I cannot see the video preview, though the audio plays just fine. I'm using Adobe CS3 on a Vista system.
The video is a 3.6 gigabyte .mpg file, and plays perfectly when not in Premiere. When in Premiere, all I get is a blank green screen instead of the preview window. It's hard to google the error, because, of course, "green screen adobe premiere" gives a LOT of tutorials, heh. The computer is a new, dual-core system that exceeds all of the system requirements for Premiere.
I don't know where to begin fixing the problem, which I've bashed my head against for weeks now. Helping me will bring you great karma in this world and the next, I assure you.

Based on reading a LOT of problem reports, importing files from a DVD camcorder or other MPEG device, or Ripping DVD files rarely results in success in Premiere... do not be fooled by movie industry advertising into thinking that "DVD Quality Video" is suitable for EDITING... it is not... a DVD is designed to be for PLAYBACK only... and that includes trying to edit a Standard Def MPEG or VOB file!
You should also use WAV sound files, not the compressed MP3 format, To work with AC3 files in Premiere, it MAY work to copy the ad2ac3dec.dll file from the Encore DVD directory into the Premiere directory

There are other products better suited to your task (read at the link above for a partial list) but if you only have DVD type files, you should convert to DV AVI... go to the VideoHelp link in my notes and look for a program to convert... but do be aware that converting from a HIGHLY compressed viewing format back to an editing format is going to cause a drop in quality
The only SD (Standard Def) files that Premiere really likes are DV AVI type 2

Cannot see the default input help values in the preview mode ALDesigner P&F

I'm currently implementing a HCM PROCESS FORM process.
I'm wondering why I'm not able to see the default input help of a dropdown UI ISR element in the Preview mode within adobe live cycle designer.
I have linked my field with SAP-PA backend-service through Form Scenario.
Within adobe live cycle designer, in the Binding tab page and then Element Values, I entered the following value in the Objects field: $record.sap-vhlist.<Field
name>\.DATA\.FIELD.item[*], whereby <Field name> is the name of the form field. but cannot see any values...?
Could you provide me any help, advices on that.

You can do that in two ways.
One is from PA services provided by SAP. Other one is you care create a Generic service to load the values.
1. In HRASR_DT tcode select the process and create the backend service for SAP_PA and add the field Employee group (PERSG ) by choosing IT 0001 and screen element then select the Input Help and check the box for PA service .
2. Create a backend service and create the BADI and inside that do the logic to load the Employee group from FM and bind the value to the field.
Please refer the Enhancement Implementation HRASR00_USER_NAME for the sample. Class CL_HRASR00_GS_USER_NAME.

I cannot see Nikon D610 raw file preview in Finder.

I can see and develop my Nikon D610 RAW file in iPhoto (latest version v 9.4.3) but surprisingly I cannot see them in the Finder (preview, icon preview, etc).
I have tried to fix it by downloading the latest Digital Raw upgrade file (5.0.2 and even 5.0.1) but the setup program refuses to launch arguing I don't have iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 3.4.5
But I have iPhoto 9.4.3. I have even redownloaded it from Appstore and reinstall it but without sucess.
And to add to the complexity, I tested the NEF file with another mac (same OS version, same iPhoto version) and it works well. So I don't understand what is going wrong with my iMac
Any idea how to solve this issue ?

Problem solved. My iPhoto application was in a folder, which is preventing Digital Raw update from seeing it and therefore preventing the install.
After having put back iPhoto into the main Application folder, I have been able to reinstall digital raw update (5.0.1 and then 5.0.2, as 5.0.1 deals with my d610 and 5.0.2 is the latest version). Once install, I can see the preview in the finder as I wanted

I cannot see all the data in target disk mode

I have an issue where my MacBook pro is not booting into the Yosemite. I see the progress bar hangs at about 45% on the startup screen. I called Apple support and they asked to use the target disk mode to connect to my mac and then copy data like that. I am using the same technique but I am not seeing all the data under users. My data under the folder users had another users data that I cannot see.
How can I see my data for all the other users? Help please!!!

Could be that the the data or directors on the HD are corrupted.
- Copy all data you can
- Try cloning the whole disk to another disk before you attempt recovery methods.
- Try repairing the HD via Disk Utility
- Try a data recovery program

Is there a way to quickly preview blend modes, similar to the shift+ and shift- like AfterAffects?

This would seem to be a no brainer but nobody seems to know the answer.... I have a hard time believing I have to endure the sea-saw process of clicking on a given blend mode each time I want to preview an affect.

The next issue you will find with Blend Modes is "Opacity Droppings"
Anyone that uses Blend Modes...naturally uses Opacity as part of the setting. ie. the degree of blend.
(The two work hand in hand.)
Problem is.. as soon as you do this... an automatic opacity keyframe is created.
This is guaranteed to drive you nuts!
It does not work this way in AEFX . where it is more logically and practically implemented with a normal way of setting a keyframe manually.

Cannot see/edit white text in editor mode

I am using contribute 3.11 and have run into a strange issue.
On a few of my webpages i noticed that when going into editor mode
contribute has a few of my page's text <li> highlighted in
white. (The highlights are only in editor mode and do not publish
as highlighted.) The problem is that my text is white and I cannot
see any of my text to edit unless i manually change the text color
to something dark and then change it back. I thought it might have
been the webpage or css but most of my pages have the same css and
they work fine in editor mode. Also, if i try to edit this in
dreamweaver it works fine so i know its not the page. Is there a
setting in contribute that im missing that highlights text for
editor mode. Any ideas???

Okay, here is a temporary workaround. I use this technique ALL THE TIME. Actually, just yesterday I used it repeatedly for about 5 hours for something I'm building in Captivate.
You will need to have more than just Captivate open. It doesn't really matter what, just that another application is open and maximized to fill the entire screen.
Scrub the playhead in Captivate until you get the image you want.
Without releasing the mouse, carefully press Alt+Tab to switch to the maximized application. Then release the mouse.
Upon returning to Captivate, you should see that the playhead is right where you left it. Somewhat in a state of suspended animation, As if you are still in the midst of scrubbing!
At this point you have some options. You may choose to click Insert and proceed to insert a Caption or a Highlight Box.
The edit area should remain put until you park the playhead.
I discovered this by accident one day and I really hope Adobe never "fixes" it as it's quite useful!

X-Fi Fatalty Pro cannot see 5. Dolby Digital input via Optical link. I am pumping my Xbox360 through the Digital I/O dongle and every thing works OK using Dolby Stereo, outputing to my 5. analog speakers. However, it does NOT work when choosing Dolby Digital 5.. My SPDIF tab just says unknown input.
Please help, this is very frustrating...

Ok, for those who also wanted to know the outcome, I though I'd post.
I was told that the dongle cannot decode 5. to analog, but the Dri've Upgrade and the Console Upgrade could (at $80/$80 vs. $5).
Great.
So what I want to know is this:? what chipset or connection is Creative putting in the Dri've Upgrade and Console Upgrade? It seems to me that the card should be doing the decoding, not the type of optical port. If it's getting the signal, then what is the problem? Is is that the flexijack cannot output/input 5. at all, only stereo?
Anyway, the Digital I/O dongle is going back, the thing is useless for my purposes. While I can hear 360 games fine, DVD's on it default to 5. if they have that type of audio, and there is no way to switch it to stereo; it gives me only silence then.
And mods, nothing in my frustration is with you; you seem to be very helpful and responsi've. I just wish the rest of the company would get on the ball.

Cannot see whole flash movie when previewing

when i preview F12 my flash composition, i cannot see the entire flash movie.only part of it. the rest is cut off. and there are no scrollbars to move the image to see the rest of it. how do i fix this?

When you preview the size of the preview is the Stage Size set for the document.
You can change this in the document properties panel (Ctrl+J or Modify/Document or double-click on the framerate or Size in the properties panel when nothing is selected)
Change this to the size you are building for, and the preview will reflect it.

I cannot see added pictures by previewing from iPad

I can see pictures, audo files, and texts which I added to a template in ibooks author. However, when I clicked "preview" and send my work to iPad, I cannot see any added pirctures, texts, audio files. What is wrong? I appreciate any help and suggestions.

IPhoto 7.1.3: Can view and enlarge photos but cannot see them in edit mode

When selecting and attempting to edit photos, the photo does not appear in the "edit" window below the thumbnails. This "edit" window remains blank. Edit functions appear operable but I cannot see what is happening to the photo until the edit has been made and shows up in the thumbnails. Anyone have a similar issue or suggestion?

The procedure for creating and populating a new library:
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
If the problem is persisting into a new library - how big is your HD and how much free space on it?

SSRS 2013 Native Mode - Cannot See Report Builder Button after Installing on my Desktop Computer - SQL Server Express

I have installed SQL Server Express 2013 on my home PC, which runs Windows 7. I used the advanced installation, which includes Reporting Services. The install seemed to go okay but when I open SSRS, I cannot see the Report Builder button on the
screen. I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out, including installing and reinstalling the program. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Also, I cannot connect to the report server through SQL Server Management Studio.
If anyone has any straightforward assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. I have spent a lot of time looking for answers. In the meanwhile I'll continue seeing if I can get this to work.

Blending Modes

Hi All,
I am creating a flyer in InDesign, I've got a logo to put at the bottom of the flyer, the logo is white with a black background, I've used the Screen blend mode to remove the black but I can now see a faint white space behind the logo... see attached image. I have Proof Colours, Overprint Preview & High Quality Display to show the neareat possible match to print.
I've tried Googling and reading up about the Blend modes, it says something about changing the option in Edit > Transparency Blend Space
I changed it to RGB and now the white space has gone but the article I found did not explain too much about what this means changing it and how it works when printing the finished artwork.
Can anyone give me advice on this?

When you use Screen for the blend mode your black background has to be absolute black for to be completely transparent. If you want to keep your Transparency Blend Space as CMYK and your logo is a CMYK object, the black background has to be absolute CMYK black (100|100|100|100 and not 0|0|0|100):
