Cannot See CheckBoxes in PDF.

Hey all,
I'm attempting the use ChechBoxes in a RTF template to ultimately display in PDF. We cannot see the checkboxes in PDF. We're using BIP 10.1.3 on a standalone database. I have reviewed notes from: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2007/05/22 and followed those suggestions, but no difference. Reviewed the configuration notes 'Business Intelligence Publisher User's Guide (Release 10.1.3.2 Part No. B40017-01 pg:11-20)' {RTF Template Properties} for the 'rtf-checkbox-glyph' settings and tried 'Wingdings;253;254', 'Arial;253;254', and 'Albany;253;254'. I ensured Wingdings fonts were available in BI Publisher Enterprise (..\jdk\jre\lib\fonts). No help. I have tried the RTF checkbox,but will not display and tried a checkbox font which does not display properly in PDF. I'm open for more suggestions. I'm just not sure what to try next.

I tried this the wingdings box, but it did not work.
Steps used :-
First approach
1) File-> Properties->Custom, and using
Name: xdo-font.IDAutomationMICRB10.normal.normal
Value: truetype./usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType/IDAutomationMICRB10.ttf
method
2) made sure that the font is available under C:\windows\fonts
3) Also edited the xdo.cfg file to include the font ( this info is in the user guide)
4) Also saved the ttf files, ftp them to server side ...devora\..\jre11813\lib
Second approach
1) File->Properties-> Custom, using
rtf-checkboc-glyph
Second method worked on desktop. Did not work on the apps
First method did not work anywhere
Third approach
1) using either first /secpnd method File-> property defintion
2) Create file mapping in xml publisher admin
3) Could not attach the mapping set to the FO:Processor, it just did not bring up the file to attach in the "browse".
That's one I thought of buying the font. But need more proof that it could work that way.

Cannot see checkbox in item property

Dear All,
Our customer is on SAP8.8 PL19 now. They have an issue from SAP2007. When open item master data, property, he can only see 'property name'. He cannot see checkbox column. This is only an issue for his user. Any idea? I don't have any 3rd party add-on start.

You can check the Note No. : 1224747 regarding the issue mentioned by you.
Please test the steps and the fix in the Copy of the database first. Also read the instructions which are mentioned on the PEQ wiki. The Link to the document for the instructions is in the Note no. : 1224747.

I cannot see as installed the Acrobat Distriller Printer? (Acrobat X)

In my list of printers, I cannot see the Adobe Acrobat X distriller printer as installed in my computer.
I have Adobe Acrobat Distriller X installed in my computer along with Adobe Acrobat X... however, when I go to control panel, and I select printers... I cannot see the Adobe PDF printer there.
I think the cause of this is that I installed a program called NITROPDF, and this program, managed to remove the Adobe Acrobat Distriller X printer, to install its own printer.
Now, in my list of printers, I can see the NITRO PDF Creator (which is the printer to print documents as PDF, that offers NitroPDF).
However, I cannot see in my list of printers the Adobe Acrobat Distriller X printer.
How may I do this printer be installed and available in my list of printers?

Cannot see text in large PDF file

Hi all,
I've searched Google and these forums, but I have yet to find anything relating to my issue.
I'm trying to view a PDF file, but I cannot see any text in Adobe Reader.
I've viewed it w/ the FoxIt reader, and I can see all text there.
Any idea as to what the problem w/ Adobe reader is?
I have the most up-to-date version of the reader.

Enable the entry 'Show large images' in the preferences of Adobe Reader.

I downloaded PDF to I books, went back to store now the screen is blank, cannot see library

I downloaded PDF to iBooks, tried to back to store and the screen went blank . Cannot see or access iBook library .

Quit the iBooks app completely and reset your iPad.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to iBooks the app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Pdf with filled in field that I cannot see...

I've a pdf file where the highlight fields are filled in, but that I cannot see untill I click on the field.?
Is there an option to see the values in the highlight fields?

Cannot see pdf or xml option in Broadcaster in BI7

I am having an issue where I cannot see the PDF option or XMl option in the Broadcaster.We are currently on BI 7 and just upgraded to SP12.Can anybody help me?

When I open the query on web browser it opens the query and i am able to get the exact result on web.But with Bex analyzer, I suppose you dont really see the option of distribution of query through broadcaster Right? You can only a distribute a workbook using a broadcaster.

ADE: i cannot see PDF inside an ePub

I have a ePub ebook with XHTML and PDF content. The strange thing is that in ADE I cannot see the PDF references.
If I open the same ePub with Calibre the PDF referenced within the ePub are opened outside with the PDF reader.
What is the mistake?

Is this what you downloaded: iTunes 10.7?
When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Standart Portal User cannot see Website created with WPC?!?

I created also a User that have rights:
Groups:
Everyone
Authenticated Users
Roles:
Testrole (That one i created for the Website)
But my user cannot see the Website after Logging in.. In the Menu there is a Menuentry called: Website
Thats correct. But the Site do not load.
After i put the User in: Group - Administrators i can see the Website... whats wrong here?

OK i am a step forward.
i checked help.sap.com and find a hint to the Security Zones.
Defining Permissions for Security Zones
1. Navigate to Security Zones ® com.sap.nw.wpc ® wpc.
2. In the context menu of the following folders, choose Open Permissions and define the permissions specified.
Permissions for Security Zones
Folders
Roles/Groups
Permissions
medium_safety
Site owners, editors, and authors (for example, the wpc_editor_role role)
Select the End User checkbox.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
no_safety
Visitors (for example, the everyone group)
Select the End User checkbox.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
I changed the no_safety (i added Group - Everyone)
Now i can see the Page.. but i also see at the top right of the page: EDIT PAGE
And a Standart EndUser should not see: Edit Page
What can i do here?

I cannot see anyone's calendar

HI Guys:
I have Lion Server on a Mac Mini, a MBP and an Ipad. I have a community calerdar set up on my server. On my MBP and Ipad I have the community calerdar loaded but I cannot see anyone's calendar. All I can see is the local calendar on each device.
In preferences on my MBP I have a CalDEV account set up (same for Ipad) and I have both local calendars checked along with the comminity calendar that is on the server.
I cannot see anything but the local calendar on either my MBP or my iPad.
Can anyone clue me in on why, or better yet tell me how to do this.
p.s. I have poured over the lion server documentation but I cannot find this step by step info anywhere.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me.
I've been having a similar problem with Safari pdf files despite downloading the latest Adobe Reader XI.
I would constantly get messages - There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.
I would also get a blank page when I tried to print the pdf if I tried printing from the Safari web page using File - Print from the top toolbar on my laptop.
Meanwhile I've managed to find a simple way around it.
Firstly, without downloading the pdf, I printed the pdf file direct from the Safari page by using the Print icon on the grey lozenge that appears centrally three quarters down the screen.
Then I discovered that if I save the pdf using the Save icon from this same grey lozenge on the Safari page I can open and print this pdf version from my desktop.
I've tested it with a couple of different pdf files and these methods work using the grey lozenge icons but the same pdfs files don't work using File - Save As on the Tool Bar.

I cannot see certain colors/photos/boxes in Adobe Acrobat Pro 11. Can in Reader, and in Acrobat Standard 11

I have a customer who uses Adobe Acrobat Pro 11. When she receives PDFs, she cannot see the color green, certain boxes(most of the ones she cannot see all have green in them),and pictures. When I opened this same PDF document in Adobe Reader 11, Adobe Acrobat Standard 11, and Fox it reader, I could see everything as normal. Her version of Acrobat is up to date. I posted this Acrobat installations & Update Issues, not sure if correct or not. She has Windows 7 Professional 64x

Can't see my iPad PDF files in iTunes

Since the new update I have a problem. I can see the PDF's in my iPad, but when I connect the iPad to my Mac I cannot see them in iTunes. I can see my old books and PDF's just fine, but when I tried to drop a new PDF file into the book category of my connected iPad via iTunes it doesn't show up on the latter. It shows up on the iPad after a while, but I can't see it in iTunes. Any ideas what could be the problem?
And is it possible to change the information of the books (Title, author,...) in the new ibooks app on Mac?

Are you saying that when you connect your iPad to your computer an application starts on your computer to download photos? This is how you copy photos from your Camera Roll on your iPad to your computer. You may have the photo capture application to run automatically when a camera is connected to your computer. Your iPad is recognized as a camera and this is normal behavior depending on the settings on your computer.
You can either change the settings to not have the image capture application run automatically or you can just quit that application manually. You might want to copy the photos to your computer first so as to have a backup of the photos.
If you quit the image capture application you can then run iTunes. I suggest, in iTunes that you use the View menu to View Sidebar. Your iPad will then appear in the left sidebar of iTunes. Select your iPad in the left Sidebar of iTunes and then you will be ps enter with a row of tabs allowing various choices.

Cannot drag and drop PDF pages in Yosemite Preview App

I suddenly cannot drag and drop PDF pages into the open preview PDF Yosemite> Why?
I open a PDF in preview.
I used to be able to simply drag a PDF from the desktop (or a JPG) into that open PDF in Preview.
Now it won;t let me?
Is this a bug or is there a new procedure for this?

Have you run any "cleaning" or "optimizing" apps on your Mac or have any antivirus software installed?
Boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk permissions and the disk. Reboot normally and try again.
If the above fails reboot into the Recovery volume and reinstall the system. Repair disk permissions afterward.
Also, as a test, log into another user account on your Mac and see if the problem persists there. If it does then it's a system wide issue. If not, it's an account issue.

Installed eDirectory to the Linux box, imanager and everything works fine.
Netware - master replica
Linux - read/write
If the Netware server goes down, we cannot see the tree.
Tried with SLP and without.
creating users in iManager from either server IP works fine and shows up in
Console1
Is there a way that when we add a user to the NDS, that it will create a
user on the Linux server as well? I mean on the actual linux server, not
eDirectory?
I suppose similar to setting DirXML for Active Directory and NDS?

my techs is a Red Hat guy, so we had some tech knowledge before testing
this.
Actually, we noted that through ldap, we can see the eDirectory users on the
Linux server under the users section, and we can add them to linux groups
and shares, which through the setup of Samba, can map drives to the linux
server.
you should check out the article I sent along earlier that explains how to
set that up. Very interesting.

Just so you don't feel alone out there..
A little of my background. I am a Linux newbie, ex MCNE from NW4 days and
run and deploy NW65 im my job. I decided to learn Linux and as I don't use
it at work. I thought the only real way to get familiar with it was to run
it at home. I purchased NLSBS9 and have installed it as the home server
and it runs the households email and Internet access. My users have
resistance to Linux at the desktop so its XPpro for now.
My experiences with NLSBS9..(remember I am a Linux newbie, hopefully if I
tell you something that is incorrect someone will jump in and correct me.)
It appears that NLSBS9 with it's accompanying Novell Linux desktop
licences was conceived as a total package. Linux clients to Linux server.
Windows client support is not so well implemented. For Windows user file
and printer access you need to run and configure Samba. Samba requires
linux users to be created and these are stored in an Ldap directory.
eDirectory is present solely for GroupWise to run, it is not linked to the
LDAP directory. The two directories are not linked or synced in any way.
I thought NLSBS consisted of Suse Linux Open server plus Groupwise.
Apparently not, as Suse has a facilty called LUM (Linux user management)
which is a tool that you can manage users with and it is linked to
eDirectory.
A little birdie tells me an announcement about NLSBS9 and future
developments could be made during Brainshare....

NLSBS9, for me, has been rock solid and all issues with it have been
