Cannot see context menu for XML messages with Safari and Google Chrome
Hi All,
I am unable to see Context menu with the option of Create, Edit, Delete etc. for KM messages. This problem persists with Safari, Chrome and IE9 browsers. This thing works fine on IE7 and IE8 browesrs.
On clicking History and Options buttondoesn't perform any action i.e. we cannot see the list of options when clicking on those. This problem also persists with the above mentioned browsers.
Also, with IE9 , I am unable to create New message when clicking on New button. The XML form doesnt open on the button click.
The portal version I am using is EP 7.0.
Can someone help me out with this?

You should check the PAM to see if your browser is supported with your current EP verison.

I am getting an invalid certificate notice when going to only one web site, that previously was OK. Happens with both Safari and Google Chrome. Would emptying the system cache fix the problem?

On Safari Adobe Flash freezes at times on popular Flash chatroom I visit and on Google Chrome when I try to type the typing is laggy delayed. Adobe Flash needs to be fixed in Safari and possibly other Browsers, and Google Chromes html5 or whatever flash replacement their browser uses ***** on older hardware.
Go for Safari always, you will have more advantages than any other browser. You can safely install the Adobe Flash pluguin, it will install as pref pane in your System Preferences. From there you can limit its access, block sites for storing info in your mac.
Under the advanced tab of the Flash Player in System Preferences, check “Notify me to install updates”, so you are always up to date (feel free to check out any update directly form the Adobe website to be safe).
Steve does't want to allow Flash for iOS due to security issues (long story). But it's OK for mac, if you keep an eye on it.
Google's Chrome its decent, but you know, it's Google. I will prefer to take the advantage of the Apple's ecosystem, like syncing all Safari content and passwords with iCloud, to keep using it in your iOS devices. You can have an open page in your mac, and go to your iPad and continue with the same page.
Also you can find some useful Safari extensions that will trick the websites to load an HTML5 version of the video instead of flash (like if you were on an iPad). -
Are there any known compatibility issues with iMac and Google Chrome?
Does anyone know of any compatibility issues with iMac and Google chrome. A Facebook friend who is a photographer posted recently that Chrome had ruined his iMac. He stead that it ran an update on itself that made safari and chrome unusable - slow running overall. In the end he had to reinstall his OS.
Is anyone aware of this and should I un-install Chrome off my Mac?

S.There is nothing official but your post will attract a variety of personal experiences. I once loaded Chrome and found myself with the dreaded MacKeeper malware, loads of pop ups and conflicts with my system. Part of the problem is the huge range of add ons you are tempted to take on, many of which are not as strictly tested as Apple extensions. I would say, unless you have a specific reason, leave it alone. The best browser is Firefox and for Macs, Safari is OK.

When all three browsers are crashing, it could mean there's a problem with the startup disk.
Launch Disk Utility (Applications / Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the Sidebar on the left then select the FirstAid tab. Click Verify Disk. If Disk Utility reports problems, then you will need to boot from your install disc to make repairs.

My Page has data more than one page, it has verticle scroll bar to view all data .

When creating an extension, a context menu item can be added to a menu for a java file by using "instanceof oracle.jdeveloper.model.JavaSourceNode". Similarly, for jsp source you would use "oracle.jdeveloper.model.JspSourceNode". What do I use if I want to enable/add a context menu item to appear when an xml file is right-clicked under Miscellaneous Files?
FYI, there is a demo in the Extension SDK, which is called ClassSpy. If you right-click on a node and choose the appropriate menu item, it will display the name of the node in the log window, like oracle.bali.xml.addin.XMLSourceNode.

I cannot get a website page to print with Safari and it does it fine with Windows Explorer.
When printing a report from a website with Safari, it will not print to my HP C6380 printer. This process works fine on Windows Explorer. What do I need to do to get Safari to print properly?

Anyone having issues with Expose and Google Chrome?
Here is what's happening:
This only happens when Chrome is opened, the windows display oddly when in Expose.
For example, when two non Google Chrome applications are open, it show one on top and one on the bottom. When Chrome is open, (and only a total of two applications open) it shows one window to the right, another in the middle, and the left is a large blank area.
The same thing happens with three applications. When Chrome is open, the windows are top left, top right, and bottom right. When close, it's two at the top and one in the middle at the bottom. This is very odd behavior and I can replicate it on two machines very easily.
Once I quit Chrome, everything works fine again.It looks fine to me. Here are three apps (Firefox, Chrome, System Preferences) running with a Time Machine backup in progress...

There is no FaceTime app for the iPhone if that's what you're asking. FaceTime is accessible through your Contacts as one of the options in how to contact a person -- there is no standalone FaceTime app for iPhone.
If you mean how to disable FaceTime, you can do that in Restrictions (Settings/General/Restrictions). -
IPhone OS 3.0 frequent crashing with Safari and Google
Wondering if other people have experienced this. At least 2-3 times per day my iPhone 3G (white 16G) crashes while using Safari or the Google app. By crashing, I mean it goes first to a black screen and then to the Home screen.
This has been happening since I upgraded to OS 3.0 and happens on WiFi, not sure if it also happens while using 3G network.
Is this a common problem or do I need to wipe my phone and restore it?

Context menu for tree node cannot be accessed in IE 8 (Jdev 11.1.2)
We use an af:tree with context menus for performing operations on each node. In IE 8 when you hover over a node before right clicking, "tooltip" text appears which basically just re-displays the text of the node. Even though the tooltip text is annoying, the context menu worked fine in 11.1.1.4, but now in 11.1.2 when you right-click on that tooltip text you get the "normal" browser context menu for text -- we no longer get our custom context menu.

Sometimes, if you're quick enough, you can get the custom context menu to work, but it seems that once you've hovered long enough over one node to get the standard context menu, you're stuck and any node you click on will display the browser's normal context menu.
This is a big problem for us because we rely on these context menus and most of our administrative users are on IE 8. Is there a workaround or can the tooltip text somehow be shut off? It doesn't appear in Firefox so Firefox works fine.

if this works on IE 7 you can force the app to run in IE7 compatibility mode

Works the same for IE8 to IE7. This then gives you a solution for until the issue is solved
Btw.: If users click onto the folder icon (not the text, which brings up the tool tip) then the context menu work. I'll file a bug anyway

How to deactivate the context menu for data cells in web reports
Hello,
we would like to have the data cells (for example: values in euro) without context menu. I mean, right now, when users navigate in web reports and stop with a mouse over the data cell, text like "Context menu for 5.000 Highlighted" appears. Especially users don't want to see the exception cells with this information like
"Context menu for 6.000 critical 4".
Is it possible to deactivate this context info?

I guess you want to disable the Tooltip and not the ContextMenu. Anyway, use the table interface for it.

The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.
