Cannot see the entire page without using the bottom scroll bar. Unfortunately some websites do not have the scroll bar and I am unable to complete my transaction because the area I need to click is on the right of the screen and that does not show on my page. If I change the view, the font is to small and it is blurry making in illegible.
Weird. Be sure zoom is to default value (press Ctrl+0 -zero- in FF). In addition, restart FF in safe mode, maybe an add-on is the culprit.

When I use the gmail website on firefox, the vertical scroll bar. As there is no horizontal scroll bar on the website, the vertical scroll bar layers over the top of the page resizer and makes the arrow button for the scroll unusable.

what i mean is that i can make a wireless network without the internet so i can save and share files and have other devices connected to the same network access them... but you have to make sure that your internet it running properly... may have to reconfigure the router is your using PPPOE or if it was working prior to your post then try to restart your modem... that usually resolves most issues. -
How to display large text document (2-3 pages) without using the webpage widget?

We are designing this online course and our project leader asked us to try to include the course materials/contents within the Captivate file as much contents as we can. However, we have several "big" text-based files to display, such as syllabus, standards, project templates, etc.
I know that the webpage widget created by Jim Leichliter can "embed" web pages and PDF files into Captivate. However, as mentioned before, our project leader wants everything to reside within Captivate. That means that I can't use the web page widget to "quoate" an external PDF file.
I also tried the extended Text Entry Area widget, but couldn't get it work. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

How can I bookmark a page without using the stupid star?
I have used Firefox since the days of Netscape. Now what used to be easy now becomes more like M$ products. I want to get rid of that stupid star that makes things more confusing by placing bookmarks in a generic 'Unsorted Bookmarks' folder that requires further attention to sort my bookmarks when before I did it all at the time that I created the bookmark with 'bookmark this page'. I understand that clicking on the blue star again will bring up the bookmark properties, this is just an inconvenience, adding time wasted. I would like my bookmarks to be like they were in the previous version of Firefox.

The problem is not my server (Comcast) as it does not happen on Safari when trying different websites as well as Godaddy.com or my Godaddy webmail. The problem is only when using my Mac OS X 10.4.11 (not my Windows Vista PC) in Firefox. I only began noticing this recently. Godaddy says this is a browser issue with my Mac as they cannot replicate it.

That code in CarDemo was written before there was such a thing as a NavigationHandler, and we didn't have time to update it to the new approach before the EA4 release. That'll be changed before the next one. In the mean time, I'd recommend that you use the navigation rules mechanism where it works for you, because it encourages good separation of business logic and presentation logic that will lead to more maintainable applications.

The horizonal scroll bar is not there on some websites.

I know there is content to the left or right of the screen portion I can see because I can get to it using the arrow keys on some websites. On other websites, the arrow keys don't move the screen but I know there is content over to the side because I can see the edges of pictures and buttons.
I tested two other browsers on the example website I referred to above. Internet Explorer does not have the problem, Chrome has the same problem with the scroll bar as Firefox does.
This problem is tolerable on the websites were the arrow keys are a substitute, but on other sites, it makes the website useless.
I have disabled all browser extensions and that did not solve the problem. Changing screen resolution has no effect on the problem. I am using Windows XP on a ten year old desktop. Windows updates are installed automatically.
McGyverYou have solved the problem. It is just an oddball glitch in code of that website and a few others, or in Firefox. Following your suggestion, I used the Ctrl+ and Ctrl- function on the example website. Repeated use of the Ctrl- reduces the content down to a size that can be viewed without scrolling, and there is, of course, no scroll bar. Then I used the Ctrl+ function and increased the size of the content so that it is bigger than the physical screen. At the point, the bottom scroll bar should appear but does not. However, if I keep going with the Ctrl+ several more times, increasing the size of the content, a scroll bar eventually appears. Strange, but harmless if you know the work-around.

When I open the web browser I cannot see the whole page and I cannot move the image sideways and must use the mouse scroll to move up and down.
Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox. -

Thanks, RoyAfter looking at other people's posts, I think it's official: there is a bug. Itunes support said I should not have lost the drag/drop tool and I haven't on the laptop that is running itunes 10.4 and operating system 10.6.8. I chatted with someboby who lost both his drag/drop and side scroll and what we have in common is a wacom tablet for a mouse. My laptop is a wireless mouse. I reinstalled whatever updated driver that wacom has out there, shut the system down for night, hoping for magic, but alas none to be had. So if I want to change song order, I network the laptop and desktop, share the screen on the laptop, drag and drop to my heart's content and curse Apple for making me work this hard to find the tool that was once at my fingertips. Apple also let me know that if I want to share songs in household that the hundreds on songs that were purchased for .99 need to be repurchased for another .30. Maybe Apple is holding my drag/drop tool captive til I pay up the money or Maybe the next update will fix the problem, I for one give up for now.

I had downloaded a lot of free books in the past as a trial when iBooks was first released and since then I have decided I no longer want them, because of this I hid them from the purchased section of the iBooks store. The 5 books left are ones I decided to keep as seen in the following picture.
This is how it appears in iBooks on my mac. There are 4 books downloaded and 1 book that I have decided not to download at this time. I would still like to keep this book available in the cloud incase I want to download it again in the future. You’ll notice that hide iCloud books is not selected, if I wanted to hide the book that I have chosen to keep in the cloud, but have not downloaded yet I could.
This is exactly how I think this feature should work. If you have hidden a book from your purchases it should not show up in the mac Ibooks app. (I am aware you can never actually delete a purchase, just hide them and that hidden purchases can be restored to your account from within the account management section of the iBooks store).
The iOS app is working differently for me. Here is a picture of the purchased tab on the iBooks store in iOS Ibooks. Again notice that pictures of Lilly is still yet to be downloaded. This is how I expected it to look.

Resource cannot see their assigned tasks on the Timesheet page
One of the resource is not able to see tasks assigned to him in his timesheet after publishing the project. I have checked all possible reasons listed in the the document below.

In addition to the reasons mentionned in the article below (booking type and assignment owner), check the following:
The publish field for the assignments must contains "YES",
The project must be published successfully (with no errror messages in the queue),
The resource must be an enterprise resource and not a local resource,
You must look at the correct time period,
You must ensure that there are no filters in the timesheet view,
Then if it is a newly created task (after the timesheet was created), try inserting the assignment using the "insert row" button,
If none of above work, for the assignments in question, change the assignment owner for any other resource, publish the project, change back the assignment owner to the right resource and publish again the project,
Finally, remove the assignment and create it again (and publish).

How do I move the page-load progress meter from the bottom task bar to the top menu bar, or inside the top/header toolbar? I am currently using Firefox Version 3.6.19.

I can't copy an entire page or rearrange the pages. I use this feature a lot, particularly at this time of year. Can't seen to rmove the header and footer markers either.
Can anyone help or do I need to revert back to pages 09?
If I do re-install 09 will I be able to open the files that where converted to the new version?
I don't like this new one. Many of the graphics features have been removed. Not impressed at all. Very frustrated.
The business card templates and others behave strangly. If I insert a page it's blank only. I don't get the guides. I was in the middle of a design project and had to start again from scratch as it threw everything out of alignment and I can't copy an entire page. When I use select all, group then copy when I pasted it on the new page it overlayed all the cards in the top two segments. Frustrating ! I ended up saving my first page under a different name that was the only way to copy the page then I had to work between three documents instead of one.
I went in today to last years Christmas tag file and the same issues I can't copy a page. I can't rearrange the pages.
Simple features like colour choice and transperency for shapes are gone. I want to use my colour choices not someone else.
Sorry, I am ranting.
For now all I need is to be able to copy and switch pages around in one document.

I create some amazing cards and posters with 09 that when on a PC I would have to use both Word and Publisher to create. Flipping back and forth.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If you've been through ALL these steps and you still have the problem, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple.

My Airport Utility requires an ethernet connection to find my Airport Extreme. This is inconvenient. Is it normal? Is it some sort of security limitation? What if I had a few others around as range extenders?
