    Why does iTunes SUCK??
    1) Many items greyed out in the menu bar, for well over 2 years, maybe more!
    2) I Can't drag more than one piece of content from your iTunes library to any device (iPhone, iPad)
If you do it gets stuck for HOURS and HOURS in "Preparing To Update" and the little activity circle never completes, ever!!
I used to be able to drag over 1000 tunes, movies, etc. go have breakfast come back and it would all be on my device!!
Can't do it anymore, one song at a time, maybe an album at a time, or one movie, and that is it!!
If you do a 2nd item the other items stop loading and never continue!!
This is so BAD, I don't understand how they don't have this fixed yet!!
Please tell me I am not the only one!!
...and If I am tell me how to fix it!
    Very appreciated,

  • HT1386 selected itunes on macbook pro will not sync to iPad

selected itunes on macbook pro will not sync to ipad

Might there be an ownership issue --- such as:
Might the tunes that do not sync to the iPad have been purchased using a different Apple ID and password than are either used on the iPad or authorized on the computer's iTunes?
Remember, purchased music is protected.  It cannot be indiscriminately shared.

The pics came fro your computer in the first place.  They should still be there and you should always have a backup copy.

  • Any way to transfer songs from iPhone TO iTunes on MacBook Pro?

I'm an idiot.  I'm just going to say that up front.  I feel that's fair for all who venture here.
I've had a terrible time with an update..and I wasn't able to get iTunes to acknowledge/recognize my iPhone or iPod once I ran and installed the current update.  While trying to get my iPhone/iPod to be recognized, I did a lot of removing/uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes.  During this mess.....I somehow DELETED MY ENTIRE iTunes LIBRARY!!!  The whole thing.  I have no idea how.
I thought I had been backing up....and thought I had Time Machine so I was safe.  I was wrong.  I won't even ask about Time Machine here....I've already disclosed I'm an idiot.
I am finally able to get iTunes to acknowledge my iPhone.  Thank goodness.  But, now......I have Songs and Playlists on my iPhone that aren't on iTunes.
Is there any way to transfer songs from iPhone TO iTunes?
    Thanks!

  • Music on iPhone and iTunes on MacBook Pro don't work together

I have the latest version of iTunes: 11.1.3 (8).  Somehow whenever I plug my iPhone 4s, Version: iOS 7.0.4 (11B554a) (if that all means anything?) into my Mac, even if I haven’t changed any of the settings, my iPhone always comes away with less songs in the Music.  They do show up, but they either have a cloud with an arrow in it or a circle with a square in it.  These are songs that I have played on my iPhone before, but suddenly they no longer work.  Similarly, songs I can play just fine on my iTunes on my Mac are not able to play on my iPhone. What is the problem with my iTunes and/or iPhone?
Additionally, how can you delete songs from your iPhone once they are on there? I can no longer swipe it to one side to delete just through my phone, and when, with my Macbook, I right-click to delete or take them off using the “sync options.” A message pops up that says there is an issue internally with the device.  I hope someone has real answers for me. I would really love to have music on my iPhone, and be able to take old songs off, and make other old songs work again.
My iCloud is not turned on. The sync option has been turned off. I have wifi on my Macbook and unlimited 3G on my iPhone when I try these things. What do I do?

yes, the early versions of Easy CD Creator are pretty notorious for the sorts of Device Filter conflicts that can produce those symptoms. for example, see:
Cannot Access CD-ROM and "Code 31" Error Message in Device Manager After You Remove Adaptec Easy CD Creator from Your Computer
(MS) CD-ROM access is missing and messages cite error Code 31, Code 32, Code 19, Code 39, or Code 41 after you remove Easy CD Creator in Windows XP
... how early is your 5.0.x? if you have an early enough version, you can start running into BSOD problems on an XP box. see:
Easy CD Creator 5.0 Does Not Function In Windows XP

I'd like an answer to this one too. I need to backup my iphone5 and am getting the same message. My old laptop is pretty full. Isn't there a way to choose an external hard drive to back up to? If there is, I don't see it.

  • Voice Memos not syncing from my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro. Sync music is ticked in iTunes along with include Voice Memos box

Hi, I am trying to get my voice memos from my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro via iTunes and it is not working. I have ticked sync music in the music tab of the iPhone device and the include voice memos box is also ticked. So, apparently this should work, but there is no sign of the voice memos in iTunes or in the iTunes folder in the finder window. Any ideas much appreciated! :-) Thank you.

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, POST WHICH FIRMWARE YOU ARE RUNNING EXACTLY!!!
I'm on an iPhone 4, running firmware 4.0.1

  • Importing from iPhone 4 to new Macbook Pro iTunes?

Have an almost full iPhone 4 and have just ordered a new Macbook Pro
How do i import my phone songs, and apps and basically my itunes to my new Macbook Pro? Or do i have to log into my itunes account and re-burn my CD"s back into the computer to put back onto the iPhone?
Im looking for the Quickest easiest way to get back up and running with my itunes account and songs that are only on my iPhone at the moment? as well as apps etc that i have bought in the past?

"So in essence my iPhone is my only storage device with the music/apps on  - but it looks like i can't download copies 'off' into my new Mac as backup?"
The iphone is not a storage device.  it simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
"So do i have the unenviable task of re-importing my cd's/songs into my new itunes computer and re-logging into my itunes account??"
    Yes.
"Do i have to do this all by hand again and re-sync with my iPhone 4?"
    Yes.
" Same with downloading off my photos to iPhoto?"
The photo sync is one way as well.  Your pics should be included in your regular backup of your computer.  Pics on the iphone are optimized for viewing on iphone (reduced in resolution).  You can e-mail them to yourself but they will never be of the original quality.
Always maintaining a backup is very important.

An embsarrassingly simple question: having backed up my iPhone calendar on iTunes on my MacBook pro, how can I view the calendar on the MacBook?
Shoul there be an access tab on my iTunes

You don't view your calendar, on your Mac, that way. You sync your calendar to your Mac using iCloud, or iTunes. Read here:

  • When I connect my iPhone 4S to my MacBook Pro, the synchronization process by iTunes failed with the following message "My iPhone could not be synchronized, because the synchronization process has not started". What does that mean?

    Hello,
When I connect my iPhone 4S to my MacBook Pro (through the USB port), the synchronization process by iTunes failed with the following message "My iPhone could not be synchronized, because the synchronization process has not started".
    What does that mean?
Thanks in advance for fixing my problem.

I think I remember hearing that if you quit iTunes with your device still connected, then open iTunes up again, it should work.
