Cannot see my template after copying site to laptop

I copied a site I created in Dreamweaver CC from the computer I created it on to a laptop. On the laptop, I am unable to create a new page from the template as the template does not show up in the "New" menu even though it is there in the list of files. Also, changes to the template do not update the child pages anymore. How can I manage this copied site so that the template functions correctly?

Go to Site > New Site. See screenshots.
If you intend to upload files from your Laptop to your Remote Server, you'll need to enter your FTP Log-in Credentials under Servers.

If you deleted the server pool and recreated it all information of the serverpool has been dropped.
Fortunately your server still has the information.
Unfortunately you need to reimport everything by hand... There is no option like "sync" my new server.
This import can be done via the OVM Manager:
Resources => Virtual Machine Image => Import.

Cannot see file and folders copied from other windows 8

Hi everyone,
The problem is the next:
I have new PC for that i was asked to setup and install software, i perform on it clean windows 8 install, it have single HDD 1TB that was partitioned by regular windows setup option to system drive C: 100GB and all left space was partitioned as drive D:
After setup finish i only boot to system to check that everything is OK and without to make ANY change to windows shut it down.
I physically disconnect HDD from new PC and connect it via standard USB 3 docking device to my own PC that also run windows 8 i can see the new connected HDD with all partitions without any problem! Than i create on second partition on new drive folder and
copy there some files, after copy finished i disconnect the drive in safe way by performing "eject" option in windows.
i connect new drive back to new pc, boot to windows and access the second partition and it ... empty, no folder or files on drive, it also show like no space was used !!!
MOST IMPORTANT ! - Why it don't looks like security or permission or even hardware problem - NO any major security changes was performed on my own (old) PC, but most important fact when i connect other hdd to same dock station and create folder and copy some
files and then connect it to NEW PC - problem does not exist !!! i can see and access without any problem the folder and files on both PC's !
I also tried:
to reinstall windows on new pc
to create or delete partition after setup in both PC's
to check folder and drive permissions and adding "everyone" with "full control"
to turn on "show hidden files and folders" and "system files" too
to copy or create new different type files
Interesting - if i create a folder in NEW PC i can see this folder on OLD PC and copy files to it, but whet i connect drive back to NEW PC it sometimes show the folder have those files and even use the appropriate space and programs even try to open those files
without any security warnings but it cannot be open properly because files looks corrupted !

Hi,
According to your description, I don't think this is system problem. More like HDD or its interface problem.
Have you tried to reconnect your new HDD to your own computer again after you copy some file to it but couldn't find anything on new computer. If there is problem in new PC, how about your own PC?

it seems to me that got something to do with the connection to the server... in some cases when I saved a new template suddenly all the folder reapeared

Cannot see the array after power failure

Hi,
today, after a power failure overnight, my XServe G4 cannot see the XServe RAID plugged in.
I've reset each controller (but I use just the first), done everything, but I cant still get mount the RAID on desktop. With RAID Admin the RAID seems to be functional, exceps for the "array", that I can't see. If i click on the drives, the RAID Admin say to me that's SPARE DISK (sic!). In the Utility windows I've tried to rebuild the array, verify the array, try to recognize the array, but everytime the button is greyed out, and I can't start the rebuild. Utility Disk don't see the RAID at all.

I think your best option here is to contact AppleCare, to see if they have suggestions that can help.
Are you running the 1.5 firmware on the Xserve RAID itself?

Cannot see Oracle Explorer after installing ODT10104

After installing ODT10104 on Windows XP I cannot see Oracle Explorer in my View menu group. I'm using VS 2005 and I installed ODAC92070 but still cannot see Oracle Explorer. The install of ODT was successful but an exception occured while getting vaues from my register. Here is an excerpt of the generated log

I installed version of ODT 10.2.0.2.20. I now have the menu item 'Oracle Explorer' but when I click on it system returns error Package Load Failure...Package 'Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET has failed to load properly ( GUID = {D601BB95-E404-4A8E-9F24-5C1A46246CE} )
I'm using VS 2005, not 2003. Any ideas how to fix?

Cannot see RAW files after re-loading CS3.

My computer crashed so I re-loaded cs3 from the disks, but now it says that it won't update as Adobe is no longer supporting it. I cannot see my RAW files from my Canon d30 and d40. In the past when I had this problem, I just downloaded something and it fixed it, but that doesn't seem to be working this time. Are those update files available and usable anywhere or am I trying the wrong ones?

The EOS 40D requires Adobe Camera Raw 4.2
Photoshop CS3 shipped with ACR 4.0. So your 30D Raw files are readable now but you need an update for the 40D.

Cannot see NAS units after upgrading to Airport Time Capsule.

I just upgraded my router from a D-link DIR 655 to a new Airport Time Capsule and I cannot no longer see access my Drobo NAS units.

I am using Mountain Lion OS 10.8.5. I know when using OS 10.8.5 I have to ensure that DDServiced and DDServiced64 are Allowed. I have done this in the routers settings.

I cannot see the NAS units on my PC (Windows) either.
My internet works (wirelessly and physicall) so the router is connecting to my modem correctly. However I cannot access these NAS units nor their shared holders on any comptures or wireless devices in my house.
Is the Airport Time Capsule the issue here? Is it compatible with the Drobo FS NAS?

I am running the latest version of Drobo Dashbloard on both my Mac and PC 2.5.2.
I only see DDServiced64 under Apple Symbol to top left of Menu\System Preference\Security and Privacy\Firewall\Firewall Options.
Given that I cannot see the Drobos on either my Mac or PC I am wondering if:
1) is the new Apple Airport Time Capsule causing problems; or
2) is the Norton Antivirus that is on my PC conflicting with a setting on the Apple Airport Time Capsule
None of this was a problem when I used the previous router (D-link DIR 655). I could access both Drobos on both my Mac (wirelessly) and PC (physically connected to the the same router as Drobos via network cables).
When I was using my D-link DIR 655 I was using DCHP and using static IP Addresses for all my devinces in my house. Now when I changed my router over to the Apple Airport Time Capsule I did not opt to use DCHP. Could this be an issue. Note I am not having any problem with any of the other wireless devices in my house. I can see all my Sonos wireless music equipment. However I cannot see the two Drobos that are physically connected to my Apple Airport Time Capsule.

Cannot open Microsoft Office after copying it across from external HD with recovered data from my broken macbook HD.

I have recently had to replace the hard drive in my macbook pro. All the data has been recovered from my old one onto an external HD and I have copied over everything from this onto the new HD on my macbook. Everything is fine except for Microsoft Office (2011).
Although I can see all the Microsoft Office programs in the Applications folder, I can't open any of them. It sort of tries, but then doesn't open. All my word, excel, etc documents have the little 'W' or 'X' in the icon and I can preview them, but it won't open.
So far I have copied Office and Messenger into Applications, 'Microsoft' into Application Support, 'Microsoft' into Preferences, and the 'Microsoft-Userdata' into Documents.
Have I missed something? I don't have the original CD or product key anymore so don't think I can completely reinstall.

Thanks for your help - I have now found the original product key (although still no disc!) so is there any way now? After this, I'm giving up and just biting the bullet and buying it again, annoying!

Cannot see Private Workareas after Import in a New Instance

I followed the procedure you recommended in the designer 9i installation guide about migrating/upgrading the repository and It seems I missed something:
-I made an export of my repository owner with the RAU in Oracle Database 8.1.7 with Rep. version .4.0.12.89.9 using designer 6i.
-I create a new database instance in another machine with Oracle 9i (9.0.1.3.0).
-I create a repository with Designer 9i and applied the patch is suggested in OTN to upgrade the repository to the same version as my current repository (4.0.12.89.9)
-I import the DMP file to the new instance using RAU.
-Created the Repository users and applied the grants according to the documentation.
-I followed the steps about Full Reconciliate, compile all, etc.
-After some tries I could see all the workareas defined in my repository owner.
-However, I cannot connect to every single PRIVATE WORKAREA that every user defined in the current database!!!.
-Moreover, I had to delete the Repository User (from RAU) and recreate it in order to get access to the global share ara.
-My problem is very problematic as I have defined about 20 users and everyone has its own private area.
Is there something I have missed???

I have posted 4 questions including this. 3 of them were in the Designer forum and none of them were answered. Don4t know if I have to ask for rights to be answered, as is very frustrating not to have a clue of every problem we reported.
I have found the solution to this problem, just in case some other guys are going thru the same issue.
The problem is that for some reason the repository is not GRANTING the role which name is:CKR_<repos_owner>, so, if you want that all users see all the workareas they used to see before upgrading/migration, connect to SQLPLUS as SYSTEM, SYS or <repos_owner> and give the role to every user:
grant CKR_<repos_owner> to USER1;
WHERE: repos_owner is the repository owner where you created your repository.
USER1 is the user who uses the repository.

Cannot see offline folios after updating to iOS8

Hi guys, since i’ve updated my ipad to iOS version 8, i’m experiencing some issues with the adobe content viewer app.
The problem is that i cannot open the editions created before the update. The status bar keeps working but nothing happens. Differently, if i reupdate the folio by updating manually its articles, i get a duplicate edition on the content viewer app that works perfectly.
This only relates to offline folios uploaded trough the ipad’s cable.
Although it seems the problem is solved for me by redoing the update of every single articles, there’s a friend of mine (which seems had already posted the same question here) who cannot open his offline folios even when he do the articles update again.
Another strange issue, when i try opening the content viewer's default folio, i get a blank document and the app suddenly crashes.
i’m using Indesign cc 2014 with the latest update and a 2013 ipad mini retina.

As i've seen on the adobe blog, on iOS8 you cannot view apps (and then folios) made under version v31. This would have answered my question, but i've tried making another folio in v32 and i get the same error.
I suppose it's something related to the iOS update, since i've tried on the Android version on my galaxy note and everything works just fine.

I've just experienced exactly the same. I made a v32 folio but once I go back to the library and try to re open it....nothing happen. I mean I see the status bar working but it doesn't open.

I cannot see graphics in my newsletter site on my laptop /c FF but can see them w IE or when using another computer. What could be blocking this?

When I view emails sent from my newsletter account to myself and view in browser, there are no graphics either. Mailchimp has checked and no problems with Firefox from a development perspective.
I have rechecked settings and graphics are allowed. pop ups are allowed etc. but still no luck. Other newsletters sent to me are ok. It's just mine. Any help is appreciated.

Cannot see the StockPortal after adding a new portlet

I tried to create a new protlet using EBCC for which I
1) Created a jsp page and deployed it in a folder in the protlet directory
2) Saved the settings after pointing the portlet content to the newly
created jsp
3) Then synchrinised the setting using the synchronise option
but as soon as i tried to access the stock portal again it gave me the
following error which was not there before i created synchronised the
portlet.

It looks like for some reason the data sync was not completed properly.
Prior to doing the data sync, make sure the correct application is running
(e.g., if you are sync'ing to stockportal, make sure you started the server
using <portal-home>\config\portalDomain\startPortal.bat). Make sure you
have opened the correct application in the EBCC, and make sure your
connection settings are correct -- the application name and server
information are set under Tools/Connection Settings. When you do the data
sync, make sure you use the correct userid and password (e.g.,
system/weblogic).
You can check to see what data has been synchronized by using the Data
Repository Browser application. To view what applications the target server
is able to see, open the data repository browser by entering this URL into
your Web browser: http://localhost:7501/portalDataSync/index.html (assuming
you are using the portalDomain).
A good place for documentation on this is "How Application Data is Organized

Cannot see other drives after RAID setup

heys..ppls. i just setup my first RAID array with help from vango44..thnx alot m8.. all worked out perfectly.. but..when i was done and installed XP i hooked up my ''old'' drives and yes i put the jumpers to slave.. they dont appear in Windows and it takes a considerable amount of time to start XP while b4 this all XP started very quickly..can ya'll help me out?

I have 2 drives as u can see in my sig that i want to use as storage. And yes they are IDE
The Raptors are for my OS, games and programs.
My bios on chip ata settings are:
Native Mode
S-ata only
sata and pata both active
pata channel both
config sata as raid yes
How do i reconnect my 2 Maxtors.. physically? I presume on IDE2..?
And is it a problem that one 1 of those Maxtors an old version of XP is installed?
And yes during the RAID setup i dissconnected my 2 Maxtors..
After have gone to bed yesterday i shut down my pc with 2 Maxtors connected and when i started it up this morning all settings were gone.. RAID gone at least not activated.. and i had 2 activate the RAID settings again. I just removed the Maxtors and activated everything again.. RAID is working fine.. please help :(
