Cannot see the Access Policy information

Hi All,
I recently migrated OIM database to a new server. As part of the migration I kept the database service name, oim schema name and password the same. So after the migration added the new jdbc url to the xlconfig.xml file and updated the xlDS and xlXADS data sources in weblogic console. After restarting the weblogic everything looked normal. When opening an access policy the information in the child form of a resource is not getting displayed. I looked in the schema and the information is there.
Any suggestion or ideas regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

In Snow Leopard, Autofill cannot see the Access file.

For years this MacBookPro running older OS X versions had no problem with autofill accessing the Access Keychain or the Address Book. I relied on it andit was always there.
But ever since I installed and updated Snow Leopard, autofill fails nearly every time. For example, before Snow my login to gmail was automated. With Snow autofill automates my login name but not the password. I didn't change anything. Autofill changed.
And it seems to be random failure. It ignores "Leave me logged in" check boxes. It will remember login and password to some ordinary commercial sites and not others. For example, autofill refused today to recognize my account at rockauto.com. I set up a second account and it refuses to see that one also. Both are checked "Keep me logged in."
Has Apple published a fix or workaround for this bug?

If you're referring to desktop icons, right click on the desktop > Show view options > check "show item information".

Cannot see the "get CD information" option

I have a 5310 and when I ripped my first few CD's onto the phone using Nokia PC Suite the "CD information" from Gracenote came up without a problem. On the next occasion when using Nokia Music Manager v2.0, I noted that the CD information was not coming up after inserting the CD into the drive and so I tried to initiate this by looking under Options for "get CD information" but this option does not exist for me to select (even when trying the same CD's as before, for which the info came up OK). AS a result, I am finding I need to type all the CD details and I know that this should not be necessary. Any ideas what has gone wrong?

I cannot see the details of the playing song on iTunes Radio on my iOS Devices. On pc and mac it's fine but on all my iOS devices, the album artwork, title and artist info is missing; however, the song plays. I can see the songs i played on my iPad when i open up iTunes on my pc. I restarted the device, logged out and in several times with my apple id, nothing changes.

Hi, I have this problem too. I've uploaded photos of my granddaughter to iCloud Drive on my 5 year old PC and can see the content on my PC at iCloud .com - though the system does not allow me to see minimised photos, just lots of numbered, blue rectangle icons. I spent over 2.5 hours with Apple Support yesterday and they could NOT resolve the issue in any straightforward manner, though did suggest I go through the same time consuming uploading process placing the same photos in the Beta version of 'Photos' available at iCloud.com. What a cumbersome system. Why hasn't Apple offered an iCloud Drive app (free of charge) so that once content has been placed in iCloud Drive it can Bev retrieved on any iOS device, as Apple suggest. New install Express on Win 8 can see the Server name but cannot see the instance

I am doing this over the phone with a client who is not sure what he is doing we have installed Ok the folders exist and we have enabled TCP/IP
The instance is MSSQLServer when we try to connect all we get is 'ComputerName' I am expecting 'ComputerName \MSSQLServer'
The user does not have administrator rights and he installed SQL Server without the administrator (I think, I am not sure he knows)
I am looking for clues as to what may cause the instance name to not appear

Could you please verify that if the instance name is not listed in “Server name” drop-down list of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)? If so, does the instance list in the Local Servers tab in the “Browse for Servers” dialog?
If you cannot see the express instance in the Local Servers tab in the “Browse for Servers” dialog, the reason may due to SQL Server cannot get the appropriate registry entry information in the System Registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft
SQL Server\Instance Names).
To work around this issue, you can manually input the instance name which will be show in the Local Servers tab. Also make sure that right click on SSMS and then choose “Run As Administrator” to start it.
However, if the express instance is listed in the Local Servers tab in the “Browse for Servers” dialog, but not in the “Server name” drop-down list. Then if you have never connected with the instance name before, its entry will not listed in the drop-downlist.
Or if you have connected to server with a wrong instance name, you cannot see its entry the next time.

Settings>General>Accessibility>Increase Contrast
Settings>General>Accessibility>Bold Text
are some settings that may help.
There are other settings there ...they may not be to your liking but try them all anyways.
But that's about all you can do for now...except to voice your opinion to Apple here:

Setting up a demo network.
1 Novell Netware SBS server
1 Linux SBS server
Installed eDirectory to the Linux box, imanager and everything works fine.
Netware - master replica
Linux - read/write
If the Netware server goes down, we cannot see the tree.
Tried with SLP and without.
creating users in iManager from either server IP works fine and shows up in
Console1
Is there a way that when we add a user to the NDS, that it will create a
user on the Linux server as well? I mean on the actual linux server, not
eDirectory?
I suppose similar to setting DirXML for Active Directory and NDS?

Hi, thanks for your e-mail, pretty much the same deal for me, except one of
my techs is a Red Hat guy, so we had some tech knowledge before testing
this.
Actually, we noted that through ldap, we can see the eDirectory users on the
Linux server under the users section, and we can add them to linux groups
and shares, which through the setup of Samba, can map drives to the linux
server.
you should check out the article I sent along earlier that explains how to
set that up. Very interesting.

Just so you don't feel alone out there..
A little of my background. I am a Linux newbie, ex MCNE from NW4 days and
run and deploy NW65 im my job. I decided to learn Linux and as I don't use
it at work. I thought the only real way to get familiar with it was to run
it at home. I purchased NLSBS9 and have installed it as the home server
and it runs the households email and Internet access. My users have
resistance to Linux at the desktop so its XPpro for now.
My experiences with NLSBS9..(remember I am a Linux newbie, hopefully if I
tell you something that is incorrect someone will jump in and correct me.)
It appears that NLSBS9 with it's accompanying Novell Linux desktop
licences was conceived as a total package. Linux clients to Linux server.
Windows client support is not so well implemented. For Windows user file
and printer access you need to run and configure Samba. Samba requires
linux users to be created and these are stored in an Ldap directory.
eDirectory is present solely for GroupWise to run, it is not linked to the
LDAP directory. The two directories are not linked or synced in any way.
I thought NLSBS consisted of Suse Linux Open server plus Groupwise.
Apparently not, as Suse has a facilty called LUM (Linux user management)
which is a tool that you can manage users with and it is linked to
eDirectory.
A little birdie tells me an announcement about NLSBS9 and future
developments could be made during Brainshare....

NLSBS9, for me, has been rock solid and all issues with it have been
caused by my own inexperienced hands.....GroupWise has performed

Why I cannot modify the access permissions?

On the Fedora8 OS I issue the follow command:
[root@localhost local]#chmod o-r /usr/local
[root@localhost ~]#chmod o+w /root/rar
Then I check the privilege using GUI tool and I find the access permissions have not been changed.
Why I cannot modify the access permissions as a root user?

1) Is the underlying file system mounted as read-only? Not even root can overcome that.
2) Perhaps the file has been marked as "immutable" by chattr(1)? What does
# lsattr -d /usr/local/ /root/rar
show? Without attributes, should see only dashes ("-").

LGBD390 blu-ray cannot find the access point of WRT160N/3.

I have been trying to set up the wireless connection to be able to view streamed movies from netflix through my LGBD390 blu-ray player. I have successfully connected the wireless router to my Embarq router. When I check status, it says it is enabled and connection is o.k. I have been on the phone with Linksys (and was charged $9.99 which did not solve my problem). I also have chatted and so far that has not worked either. I have downloaded the upgrade for the firmware. No matter what I do, the blu-ray cannot find the access point of the router.
Can you help?

thank you for your responsse Wizzard, but there are things I need to change that I don't know how to do. I have no idea how to assign static ip, subnet and gateway on the blu-ray. When I went to the link , it was actually for adifferent router than mine. I have a WRT160N/v3. I also did not know what to put in the protocol. and if I should just put the number in the beg. and ending. I also don't think I have an ethernet adapter. Maybe you could give me more information. Cannot see the infoareas through Bex

Hi:
I have requested for and got BI Admin access for a Dev APO server (SCM 7.0). I tried to logon to the Bex query designer but cannot see the infoareas (or the cubes underneath them). There are several infoareas and cubes on the server when I look at them through RSA1.
What am I doing wrong and what should I request for?
Also, the report designer does not come up for some reason. A window is coming up saying that the report designer stopped working, etc. (this is the standard windows message when a program takes too long, etc.)
Appreciate your help with both of these issues.

The infoareas should show up regardless of whether we have built a query or not. I worked with the security and after a step by step analysis, could finally get to see the infoareas.
Regarding the other issue with Report Designer, it was the same problem described in the thread below
Error message in Report designer "Activate Default Theme: 0TRADESHOW"
The issue was that unless the theme was added through transaction RSOR or RSORBCT, it was acting up when it was trying to come up. After the theme was added, report designer came up fine.

My MacAir cannot see the same WiFi router twice, why?
So if it gets connected to a WiFi then gets disconnected for any reason, I cannot reconnect it to the same WiFi again as it cannot see that specific router again.
Unless, in my case, I turn on my Galaxy note 10.1 Tethering hotspot which it sees ALL the time then the Wifi router shows again so I can reconnect to it.
This happens at home and at work and at any other place... so No, there is no problem with my router or WiFi connection.
it is really getting to my nerves.
the whole purpose of me getting a MacAir is the light weight!
Now I have to carry my Galaxy Note 10.1 around with me, especially if I am going out, so I can get connected to WiFi!!
Can anyone help me out!

Try the following on your MBP, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
In the windows on the left side: Select login for Keychains and "All Items" for Category.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

Why users with rights defined as View cannots see the data of the form ?

I have a nice form page. My application has an authorization scheme with an authentification function : return acl_custom_auth. It is working well. I have defined users with Edit, View and Admin rights. Unfortunately on a form, if the user is defined as "View" he cannot see the data, he only sees the item but their content is not diplayed. I don't understand why. I would like him to see the data.
The authorization scheme of the page is "Access control -view" as well as the items of the page.
Do you have any idea of what is going wrong here ?

Another thing that can be done though mon tech-savy people may not know about it.
Locate a group of PDF's and select at least 5-6 of them as a Group.
hold down Option key while click on file menu
Click on Get info.
One window will open for the group. in Mountain Lion (OSX.8.2) the term will change to Show Inspector.
click on the button next to Open With.
choose either Reader or Acrobat.
just bellow is a question Use Acrobat (or Reader) to open all files of this type, Click on it and choose yes.
Make sure you have a mix of Adobe PDF's and Preview PDF/s for this to work. If it wasn't good for opening other Type Files I'd compress Preview and throw the original away. It’s a nusiance.
