Cannot see video on my canvas, just hear the audio
I do not know how this happened, I been working on layers, moved v1 up to v2 when doing layer and all of sudden, I double-click on the timeline to see it in the canvas, and I just hear the audio and do not see the video. I did some research and they said to delete my preference plist list and user of final cut express, and i almost had a heart attack, I lost everything, hours of work. Fortunately, I went back to the trash to retrieve and I had my video.
I am working on a video for a dear friend, daughter's party.

Where are you saving your project files? It sounds as if you deleted the wrong files. Trashing preferences does not require trashing any folders that can contain project files or media. If you're trashing a folder, you're sending the wrong items to the trash.

Hearing the audio when Capturing video
You folks are the best. My new question deals with capturing video. I can only hear the audio if i go th the clip settings and check the audio box. I know there is a way to have that automaticly happen every time I capture. I am baffled. I have tried to find a way in all the set up things and can't. What have I done or what am I doing wrong? It did it in my other Mac, until I updated.
Do I have to check that box every time?

Cannot see video in Event library preview browser"
I am trying to preview video clips in my event library browser. When I click on the clips to preview/play, I hear the audio, but do not see any video. I can however still drag them to a project where I can see and hear them video like "normal". I was able to do this yesterday, but cannot do this today...I am thinking one of my kids was in iMovie and changed a setting or something....please help!

Well... that is just about like trying to force a square peg into a round hole... in other words, each type of video needs the correct preset

Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project -

Corrected problem by updating Adobe Flash~ even though I just updated it two days ago~ but that solved the problem.

I cannot hear the audio attached to video files.
When I load in a video file saved as a .avi format that has audio and video included I cannot hear the audio. All that is coming out is what sounds like a swamp wildlife soundtrack on every video (Which is really odd).
How do I correct this problem for Adobe Premier Elements 13?

Please determine whether or not your recording device is recording with a variable frame rate.
To do that, take the file into a video audio properties readout program such as MediaInfo (Tree View). If you see 3 frames rates given
for the video, then your video was recorded with a variable frame rate. Premiere Elements often does not usually fare well in that type of
situation. If frame rate found as variable type, next step would be taking the video into HandBrake and converting it to a H.264.mp4 files with a constant frame rate of 29.97 frames per second rather than a variable frame rate.

Add On...MediaInfo is a free program and extremely useful, however its download and install can be flawed with unwanted carry along
software. Proceed with caution. If you can get your variable vs constant frame rate information from another source (like the manufacturer of your recording device) best do that. The following is listed as a safe download

When i start Firefox ( 5.0.1 ) it loads the home page fine but along with it, it starts playing a video i watched earlier on youtube and it is invisible ( no where in tabs ) and i can just hear the sound. After playing the video one time it stops.
Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

i have just dowloaded the icloud control panel on my PC and i am am able to see everything that has been pushed to icloud from my ipad. However i cannot see my email. i can send from the computer using icloud, but i do not see any mail that is being received by my ipad, which is set up with my mail server. What haven't i checked lol?
turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

I can't open my AVI files and see video, I only hear the audio with a black screen. My format for my dash cam is H.264. When I try and open my files the messeage I get is

Cannot see videos in youtube and other graphics. I can see them in other browsers. the Flash plugin is ativated... all of this since I upograded to 13!

I have a little bit different problem but its close to this.
I have installed the .10 version and now i cant see any Video on youtube. And it does not play any sound. It not opens anything with flash player.
I deinstalled and rebootet the player. I installed the new version again. 10 times....
I also tried an old version. The 2 older versions. No change -.- its really annoying.

When a pop up window comes up it is - search bookmarks and history window! I cannot log into my bank as login button should open new window to log in but I get the search page. I cannot see larger images as again I get the search bookmarks and history page etc. Happens on all options that should open new page. I can't hear the audio in streaming videos. Un- and reinstalling Flash did not help. What now?
I no longer hear the audio when I try to watch videos in Firefox, though MP3s play just fine. Everything is OK when I switch to Internet Explorer, so the problem appears to be with the browser and not with the Flash plug-in or the websites in question. Just to be sure, I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash, but there was no improvement.
Try using a photo import utility or application for this instead of doing it the archaic manual way. Even Windoze includes a scanner and camera wizard that can be used for this.

i can see my contacts in my iPad using the contacts app, but i cannot see a single contact being synced to the iCloud contacts section when i use my computer to log into the iCloud website?
I am signed into the iCloud and contacts are turned on in the iCloud settings on my iPad. the iCloud account is checked in the groups area of the contacts settings. the calendar is turned on the same way and that syncs to iCloud...just not contacts.
