Cannot see web photo gallery in design in dreamweaver cs3

have made web photo gallery in PS- opens in browser- opens in
dreamweaver cs3- I can see the code all OK can view again in
browser--But I cannot see the thumbnails or tables-yet I know its
there hidden?--How can I make it all visible

Cindy:
If you dig really deeply (10 levels down!) in your Library folder you will find the templates for the new Bridge Galleries. You can also use the Lightroom templates in Bridge CS4.
Library/Applications Support/Adobe/Bridge CS4 Extensions/Adobe output Module/mediagallery/resources/templates/07lightroomgallery/styles
I duplicated one of the enclosed Styles and dragged it to the Desktop;
opened it in GoLive (because I like the way that GL displays html code although any text editor will do);
edited the code to give me the background colors, text and image frames that I wanted; and Saved the file with a new but similar name (starting with next two digits in the series and with the .xml suffix) in the same location as the original.
And it works!
You may be able to put your existing templates in the appropriate areas.
Or, you could install the Optional Plug-ins which let you use the Photoshop/File/Automate
web galleries and put your old templates wherever you kept them for CS3.
WARNING:
You should be perfectly safe doing this but if you screw-up CS4 and have to re-install it I accept no responsibility!!!!!!!

  • CS5 - Where has Web Photo Gallery gone? I use it all the time to prepare galleries for Dreamweaver.

Having just upgraded from CS2 to CS5, I cannot find Web Photo Gallery (previously File, Automate, Web Photo Gallery).
This was very useful to prepare galleries of images sent to me by our group members in all sizes, so I could send all the gallery files straight into Dreamweaver for uploading to our website.

Thanks, "obvious" always works for me...
In CS2 they offered thumbnails of the gallery styles. Hitting Refresh Preview in CS5 requires the photos to load the gallery. Doesn't take too long, but the other was quick and simple.

  • Modifying web photo gallery templates

Hi all! I created a web photo gallery in Photoshop. I want to modify the template so that I can make the gallery look more in line with the rest of the site I'm designing. I see in the Help Center that I need to modify the "tokens" in the html, but I'm at a loss as to how to do this. Is there a site online somewhere that can explain this to me better? Thank you so much!

Hi Dave! Thanks! I did do a search, but apparently I didn't put in the right search words, as my search didn't turn up anything useful. I'll check out what you sent me.

  • Web photo gallery won't open on internet... why?

I hope someone can help me with this.
I always made slideshows with Photoshop until I got Elements. The newest version of Photoshop does not have that option anymore.
I made a web photo gallery with elements, put it up in Dreamweaver, made a link, tested it on three browsers and it all worked perfectly.
I then uploaded it all to a server.
When I go to the page on internet, the link takes me to the index of the photo gallery but the slideshow does not open. It seems like the index file does not open the resource folder.
I have compared the site on my computer with the site on the server and everything is exactly the same. The photo gallery is on th server with the index file and resource folder.
I can't understand why the photo gallery doesn't behave on internet like it does on my computer.
Can anyone explain this to me?
I really like the way the new photo gallery looks compared with the slideshow made with my older version of Photoshop and would like to use it. Plus the fact that I can control the speed of the slideshow on Elements is a real boon.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply.
I will try to be as explicate as possible.
This is a site that I maintain for a marathon. This is the 10th year. The participants contribute a series of photos that I have always made into slide shows.
I have a page that references slideshows from 2009 for example. I made these photos into slideshows using Photoshop CS3. The different folders are called "Slideshow xxx"  with the corresponding index file. When I link to the index file in a certain folder the slideshow opens in a blank page and wonderful.
Now, this year, I have done the same thing using Element with the results I mention in my origiinal message: the photo gallery does not open in any browser  in spite of being linked to the index file in the web photo gallery I created with Element.
What happens when I go to the index file is simply nothing. I do not get an error message.
You can see for yourself by going to
    http://www.el-ocejon.com/fotos%202010.html
and clicking on either of the two last options (the first links to a picasa page that is not a problem).
The solution is simple: create a slideshow using Photoshop CS3 and forget the whole thing.  But I would like to know what the problem is here and why I cannot get the photo gallery created with Elements to work on the internet.
Or is this a "two steps forward and one step back" issue with Photoshop?

  • Create a web photo gallery, in PSE8????

In a old version of elements, like verssion 2, you could create a web photo gallery.  You can also do this in Photshop.
I just purchased PSE8 and I cannot find it in there.  Since this the bulk of my work, uploading photo galleries to car websites I look after, this could be a real problem for me.
Is it in there & I'm just looking in the wrong palce or is there a plug inn I can get/purchase?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
    Kind Regads
    Cam

I still have PSE2 so it's no drama.
It just defeats the purpose of me upgrading from that point of view.
Like Eric says I too do not want the "flash-based web pages " as nice as they are.
I cant see why they couldn't have left in the html gallery feature in as well as having the flash.  I see it all the time.  Packages move forward at the expense of other features being removed.
I got the new package PSE8 and PRE8 as they could supposedly talk to each other.  Now I find I'm still having to use an older and much simpler application to get the job done.
I also run two screens and when I move one of these new applications to the second larger screen it spits the dummy.
Me thinks I'll just stick with my old proven products that never fail or hang.  Every time I try to move with the times something like this happens.
I fear application/software creators/designers of the day have lost the plot.
Ahh, I feel better now.  LOL!!

  • How to make Web Photo Gallery with 3 columns of thumbnails?

    Hi all
I have used web photo galery to build a few sites, but always with thumbnails in a single, vertical column, within a frame that scrolls. and i have never mch liked that scrollbar.
I have come across this page:
    http://www.mariannekolb.com/recent.html
which, as i look at the code, may not even be using web photo gallery, but is very similar.
anyhow, does anyone in this group have any idea how this multiple column thumbnail (without scroll bar) is accomplished?
    thanks

I see how the css works, and it is much superior to alternatives I have seen.
But I fear I may be overlooking something:  are you manually coding the html, writing the captions, and creating the thumbs?  or is there a program that generates these?
Manually coded the CSS. Used Photoshop to optimize images, watermark them and create thumbnails.
Used Dreamweaver to insert thumbnails, full-size images and caption text.
If you want software to do the heavy lifiting for you, look at jAlbum.

  • Using Adobe Web Photo Gallery

I have PS CS4, on a mac, and I added the Web Photo Gallery plug-in.
This works, but I cannot get PS to make a Web Photo Gallery that reflects the folder structure that I am using.
PS just dumps all images into one ore more pages, without regard to their source folder structure.
I want PS to make a home web page that contains just links to web pages that actually contain the images in the sub-folders.
I do not see an option to do that.
I have a home folder, which contains sub-folders, and those sub-folder contain the images.
Does anyone know how to do this?
    Thanks.

Most CS3 Web Photo Gallery Templates are flash free.  They use straight HTML.  Even the ones the change images automatically just use HTML to refresh the page displayed and change the page to the next image.   The Photoshop Web Gallery Template can be edited and customized to better suit your needs.    Adobe has removed Photoshop's Photo Web Galleries from newer version of Photoshop however the Feature can be installed into the newer Photoshop versions.   Adobe added an output module to the Bridge that can create Web Photo Galleries these are mostly Flash based and not easily customized like Photoshop's old Web Photo Gallery templates.
IMO there is nothing wrong with Flash Web Galleries other then mobile tablets and phone do not have flash support. I have yet to see any HTML 5 web gallery with features that match Flash Galleries.  I'm not a fan of Flash web sites or Flash games.  However there are many Flash web photo galleries that perform well and have great features.  I do not particularly want to display my images on small web phones.  If you want to see them on a tablet get a windows 8 pro tablet they should have flash support. I put large images in Web Photo galleries fitted for 1600x1200 displays and count on flash to resize them for the users browsers window.
Here is an example of a Flash web photo gallery. It contains 8 or 9 albums some with additional feature enabled.  All generated in Photoshop with a custom script. http://www.mouseprints.net/albums/
Resize your browser window see the image sizes change use the menu in the bottom of the browsers window to change album and try full screen support.  I only use Flash for Web Photo Galleries.  I'm not selling so I do not need IOS and Android support.

  • Is the Automate/Web Photo Gallery function gone from CS5?

I am currently operating a trial download of Photoshop CS5. I was surprised to see the "File > Automate > Web Photo Gallery" function missing from Photoshop CS5. Is that true, or has it been moved to another location?

    Jeffry, Chris Cox,
At our studio we use the Web Gallery with Feedback option for our clients to review images, make selections and comments.
I hope we don't lose access to this with an upgrade to CS5.
It seems to me that having that capability within Photoshop makes sense, but if it is being ported to Bridge I hope, at least, that it will be well supported (which it wasn't while in PS).
As a tool to support a user's web design, Flash has several drawbacks not the least of which is that it is opaque to search engine indexing bots.
One thing I would hope Adobe could fix in the Gallery with Feedback option is a problem in which if a client of ours is using the gallery to give feedback, even though they click "Save Feedback" on every image, if they close the gallery window, all comments and selections are lost. We had a client who was reviewing 400 images. She had gotten through close to 300 of them, saving feedback all along, when she decided to come back to the project a little later. Closing the browser window lost all of her comments and selections. Tools like this are important to our business relations with our clients and I would hope they would be integrated into Adobe's imaging products, but they shouldn't be an afterthought – they need to be well designed, user customizable, and up to date with web standards.

  • The Web photo gallery does not work in Dreamweaver!

I made a web photo gallery in photo shop using CS3.  The destination folder is the web site I'm using it in.  It links OK in the rollover image and will work if you click on it(swf_file) in the site file, but it will not show any pictures when I try to preview it with a browser or load it on the remote site. It loads the file but all the images are whited out.   This is very frustrating and it must be something simple...please advise...Thank You..Thagoodsport

What kind of a response are you looking for with a post like that, seriously? Change this or that in your unprovided code? Use this or that gallery, which may be the gallery you're already using. We don't know because you haven't mention specifics, provided any code, or any other relevant information to produce a helpful response. All you've said is you click a link and it's white. Kudos.
We're not mind readers and no one is looking over your shoulder watching what you're doing. Get it together... and when you do, post a link so we can see what you're talking about. jeez.

  • Problem Uploading Web Photo Gallery in DW

I'm a newbie at this, so please bare with me. I've been at this same problem for 3 days & I'm finally breaking down & asking for help. I want to be as helpful as possible here, so I'm just going to give as much info as I can, so I'm sorry in advance if some of it doesn't matter.
I created my web photo gallery through PS & am putting them into DW with the iFrame. My connection works just fine when I preview it, as I can jump from page to page, seeing all of my galleries. I'm been able to put my pages up, but the galleries do not come up. I keep getting the error 404 message up in all of my frames.
I have all of my galleries in one file, with each specific gallery in a sub-folder with all of the attachment files.
I've tried every combination I can think of when it comes to my local root folder and default images folder to see if I just had the wrong folder selected. I'm more so thinking it would have to be the DIF if it were anything like this, because the LRF has to be the main folder. I've tried to C&P the gallery file in several different folders, use it as my DIF, put it, & see if it works, & it doesn't. I tried to upload the galleries themselves through my web server (host monster) and also cyberduck.
I've read everything I could find, & I read that I needed to link up the index.html to the page I'm building. But I assumed I already did that, other wise I wouldn't be able to preview it right? If I still need to do this, where should I go into specifically to do this?
I also read I should link up the files from the navigation system in DW. Where would I go about doing this?
As you can see, I'm pretty lost.

    http://www.rickyhavlik.com/galleries/grant%20park/index.htm
That page is not on the server - did you upload it?  By the way, it's not a good idea to use spaces in your file/pathnames for the web.
The page is just not where you have told the browser to look for it here -
    <iframe height="600" width="600" marginheight="250" marginwidth="250" src="galleries/grant park/index.htm"</iframe>

  • Web Photo Gallery in PS CS4

They are recomending that you use Bridge for web galleries, but I have always liked the way PS did them.
There is a plug in called "Web Photo Gallery" included with the programme that allows you to use the old method, which I have put it in the plug in folder as instructed. However I get a message that there is no template for a web photo gallery when I try to go Automate-web gallery.
Can anyone point me as to what I am doing wrong or not doing.
    Thanks

You have to load the templates for the old method too! CS4 doesn't use them.
This is what the instructions say:
    Web Photo Gallery
The ability to create a Web Photo Gallery is now available in the Adobe Bridge CS4 OutputModule. We highly recommend creating your Web Photo Galleries this way. If you would like to continue using the legacy Web Photos Gallery plug-in (WebContactSheetII), please follow these steps:
       1. From the Photoshop CS4 install disc, drop the //<language>/Goodies/Optional plug-Ins/Automate/WebContactSheetII plug-in into the //Adobe Photoshop CS4/Plugins/Automate folder
       2. From the Photoshop CS4 install disc, drop the //<language>/Goodies/Presets/Web Photo Gallery folder into the //Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets folder and then restart Photoshop.
Note: See below for a movie demonstrating the above steps.
Optional: To add this legacy functionality back into Bridge (as a menu item):
       1. From the Photoshop CS4 install disc, drop the //<language>/Goodies/Optional plugins/Bridge Startup Scripts/photoshop_web_contact_sheet folder and photoshop_web_contact_sheet.jsx file into following locations:
              * Mac OS: //Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS4/Adobe Photoshop/
              * Windows XP: //Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS4/Adobe Photoshop/
              * WindowsVista: //Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS4/Adobe Photoshop/
       2. Restart Bridge.
There is also a instructional video on that page.

  • DreamWeaver CS3 Web Photo Gallery Help

I bought the Adobe Web Design package to put together a good
(hope springs eternal) Web site to showcase about 60 oil paintings
that are presently available at different poster sites. I am a
novice to DreamWeaver; started my basic web page. I now need to add
the photos in 6 different galleries - landscapes, waterscapes, etc.
I assumed I was going to do this in Photoshop CS3/Fireworks and
import it to the site I am building with DreamWeaver, but 2
    problems confront me:
    (1) I could not find a Photoshop CS3 photo gallery template
that allows for a text paragraph adjacent to a larger image when
clicking on thumbnails laid out on the side or the bottom of the
    page, or am I wrong?
    (2) It appears that Photoshop CS3 generates an independent
web page for the photo gallery - is it even possible to import a
photoshop cs3 web gallery into an existing DreamWeaver CS3 web
    page?
Appreciate any info in this area. Thanks.

Dunno as I do not have CS3; but I've used Photoshop a lot to
    generate
galleries, then I modify them. I think your main sticking
    point is
that you haven't found a Photoshop gallery that is close to
    what you
    want, is that correct?

What's to import? Photoshop outputs web pages and DW edits
    web pages.
    Edit away.

  • Adobe web photo gallery - flash gallery 2

I'm using the adobe web photo gallery, flash gallery 2 and I

  • Flash-Web Photo Gallery

I am trying to create a flash web photo galler using the Automate>Web Photo Gallery in CS2.
I want to mix the features of the 2 existing options.
In Flash Gallery 1, the thumbnails are listed as small icons in multiple lines and are magnified when the mouse hovers over them, like the dock in OS X.
In Flash Gallery 2, the meta data listed in the xml file is displayed only if you explicitly click on the info button, and it is below the picture.
I need these 2 options together. The rest of the options are not a problem I can go either way.
Is there another Flash Gallery that will combine these two options?
    If not:
Is there a way to modify the flash file to accomodate this?

Google "Flash Gallery Templates", you'll see 2.4M links.
Back to levonk's original question... sounds like you're trying to do what I'm trying to... alter the Flash files used to generate the Web Photo Gallery Flash Gallery 2.
Here's my question, similar to yours:
How do i open the "gallery.swf" file to alter Photoshop Flash Web Photo Gallery?
Built Web Photo Gallery in Photoshop CS2's Automate. It turned out OK, and I made adjustments in the "index.html" and "galleryconfig.xml" files in a text editor (BBE).
Now, I'd like to alter the template's .swf file but can't open it as it's "protected".
It would be nice to be able to set up a new template that does exactly what I intend, without altering the other files. But I can't open the protected "gallery.swf" file to make changes. Can someone help? Does Adobe have an unprotected copy of that file I can fiddle with? Is there some "trick" to open a copy of that file? I could learn a lot and make it easy to repeat results for a site. Any assistance most appreciated!

  • Web Photo Gallery help

I have a couple of questions about using Bridge to make web photo galleries.
    - is there a way to make the galleries so the pictures retain the same file names as the original pictures?
    Here's a sample gallery I made; http://www.bobcoulter.com/ps5/gallery/content/_1226902297_large.html
The first pictures file name is; 110108_0023.jpg but in the gallery if you copy the picture it's now called _1226902297.jpg
    - is there a way to force ALL the files Bridge uses to make the gallery so they are lower case file names?  i.e. cutName.js so that it's cutname.js etc.

IMO when Adobe removed PDF and contact sheet support along with Photoshop Web Galleries  from Photoshop menu File>Automate>Web Photo Gallery... and they added an output module to the Bridge for PDF support and a much less customizable Web Photo Galleries they took a giant step backwards and short changed their users.
However you can still download some of the removed features like Contact Sheets and the old Photo Web Gallery and install them into CS5  how much longer will they provide them no one knows.
You can also find some Photoshop Scripts that can be used to generate Web Photo Galleries. Most are written in javascript and not converted to binary so you can download them and if you know a little javascript you can add anything you want.
Perhaps in some future release the Bridges output module support will catch up with the old support that is in Photoshop CS3.
The scripts I have modified can be downloaded.  Here are some examples hover the mouse cursor over the bottom of your browser's window in the WS-Slideshow galleries to see its tool bar. I fit my images within a UXGA display 1600x1200 pixels.
