Cannot select language in Powerpoint

Question

I would like to change all text on all slides on a powerpoint 2011 presentation to English.
So, I found this Applescript (see below) that basically does what I would have to do manually in an automated way.
It almost works, except after it finished running the language is still the original one.
The problem is probably that when the script selects the new language, the old one does not get deselected.
So, the language selection box in PPT looks like that:
Can some kind sould help me please?
I will appreciate all hints and suggestions.

So the English text in your powerpoint is currently set to Basque, and you want to set it all to English so the spell check will work correctly?
