Cannot select objects in Adobe Fireworks

I suddenly could not select objects in Adobe Fireworks on my MacBook Pro. I was using a Magic Mouse.
I replace the mouse, but the problem persisted — it wasn't the mouse
I restarted Fireworks, but the problem persisted — it wasn't Fireworks
I searched the Adobe community and found this thread
One user stated that his Spotify was causing the problem. I didn't use spotify but I did just install the Radia app on my machine. It is an app that plays Pandora.
I closed the Radia music app (thinking it similar to Spotify) and the mouse immediately started working again.
If you have this problem. Check for other software causing an issue; specifically ones that have a home up in your task bar.

Radia has replied to my support request.
"Hi,
Radia binds your Mac’s media key to enable you control it convenient and fast. Try disabling the binding to see if the problem goes away:
open Radia window > click on the gear icon > select Preferences… > uncheck Bind Media Key"
Restart both your design program and Radia and you should be good to go!

PI 7.1 EHP1 SP3, Message Mapping cannot select object in the folder ?

I am very new with PI 7.1 EHP1, i am not sure whether there is some new restriction or bug, because i was trying to create Data Type, Message Type in site the folder, but the Message Mapping cannot select those object insite the folder. The message mapping only can select those object without folder.

I just finish installed the PI 7.1 EHP1 SP03, so i would like to test the functionality of the PI. just create 2 DT 2 MT insite the folder.
but when i am trying to create Message Mapping, the message mapping, i can't find these 2 MT ???.
after that i created new MT but outsite of the folder (still same namespaces) and the message mapping can see the MT ?
so i can make sure not duplication coz i just create those object.
any idea ?

Hello. I've looked in various places and cannot find the answer to my question; perhaps I'm not asking using the proper description. I hope someone here in this forum understands and can help.
In past versions of PS I've been able to select the object in a layer by hitting control and clicking on the layer. I would get the marching ants and then could use that selection by creating a new layer for it and then manipulate it as I desire. Now it looks like the stroke causes linking to turn on and off.
I very much liked being able to select the object in a layer and used it quite often in my designing. I still want to use it, but how? Does anyone know if this function has been preserved and how do I access it?

Cannot select object sent to back

If I make a rectangular, fixed object, select it, and choose Send Backward or Send to Back, I can no longer select it.
Is there something I'm not understanding about how to re-select that object?

as I know this is not documented in the Pages manual. I haven't read the manual (nor version 1 neither version 2) in it's entirety, and I think this is such kind of "feature" the developers are thinking of as a must known one. But in my opinion this counts only for users with experiences in (most) vector image editing and not for the casual/normal user who is just discovering the Pages universe.
But, as I use to write in such situations, for this kind of questions and other problems this wonderful discussion board exists

Database started but cannot select objects..

I've come across a situation where i restored and recovered the db to another box and after opening the database i can desc the v$ and dba_ objects but when i do a select tablespace_name from dba_tablespaces or any other alter statements the sql just freezes. I connected to the db like
Sqlplus /nolog
connect /as sysdba;
and got connected.
I need help very urgently...

The log file does not say errors apart from a mutating table created by a trigger.
I wanted to disable the trigger but the command just freezes.

Trackpad useless for selecting in Adobe Fireworks...!

Hi, I've got a mid-2010 15" Macbook Pro, really enjoying it after years of Windows... But in the last couple of weeks or so, I can't select items in Adobe Fireworks with the trackpad! I have to drag to select an image or use keyboard shortcuts (or select the appropriate layer) to edit it. Same with text, I can't just double click, I have to drag the text before being able to do anything with it. Zooming too, I can't hit space bar and Option button to get the zoom, all of which worked FINE until recently.
UNLESS I click the trackpad REALLY hard, which seems to be REALLY odd - especially since the trackpad works fine with all other software - nice elegant double finger scrolling, all the usual good stuff. Even in Adobe Photoshop, all its features work fine - it's JUST Adobe Fireworks (CS5), and JUST recently.
Is this a hardware issue? Is anyone else out there experiencing anything remotely similar..?!

I have this exact same problem with Fireworks (though my version is CS4), and I too am suspecting this is an Apple issue. It's intermittent - often after a restart of my machine, everything is fine again. But very recently, single clicking does not select. (Oddly, if I have tap-to-click set as a trackpad pref, and I double-tap, I can select a single item.)
I know apple screwed up the trackpad when they released changes for their magic pad - this may be yet another one of them.
I'll check the other forums to see if anyone has a solution.

Mac Media Keys Causing Adobe Fireworks Selection Tool Issues?

This issue has been driving me nuts. I've contacted Adobe support, but havn't recieved a response.
For some reason while using Adobe Fireworks CS5 the selection (pointer) tool no longer functions properly. It did at one point.
I have to hold down the mouse and pull the trap lines over any object to get it to select. Not very practicle when you have to select multiple items. All the other tools are working in a wonky manner as well.
I have tried reinstalling the program and running disk repair on my system. No resolve
I have read a ton of forums and users are mention programs like spotify that are causing the conflict. I dont have any of the know programs installed on my mac that people have mentioned.
I have also read that it is itunes media key functionality may be causing the issue?
I know this might be an Adobe issue, just thought I'd reach out and see if anyone has a resolve.

HT5655 Has Adobe Flash Player been blocked again. I can download the image and proceed to installing; however, installation of flash prompts me to select update methods. I cannot select update or not update. I also cannot click on NEXT.

Has Apple blocked Flash Player again, listing it in the block list. I am able to download the image from Adobe, and begin the install process. Once I get to the option to select update Flash automatically or not, I cannot select an option or click on NEXT to finish the installation. Thoughts?

I will try to print from word to the Adobe printer. Sometimes it just freezes. I cannot select another printer.

Sometimes I get an “Unable to Connect” error and sometimes I get “1 document in printer queue”. No matter what printer I choose after I try to go to Adobe, I cannot connect to a printer. The only solution I have come up with is a clean reboot which I can't afford to do 4-5 times a day.

The first step I would try is delete the Adobe pdf printer and then repair Acrobat.
Repairing Acrobat will bring back the pdf printer. We released an update yesterday i.e. 11.0.10. try updating to the latest version and check.
Have you tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.
You might also want to check the performance in a new admin user account.

I cannot select multiple objects within the file I'm currently working on. This has worked in the past. Have I inadvertently changed a setting?

Are you trying to select via Shift+click? If yes, try selecting items in Layers Panel and from the fly-out menu, choose Select items and see if it works.

Cannot select find operations when exposing Business Object

Hi,
I have created a business object from which I need to 'find' instances. The business object has to be exposed as a web service.
The business object has 'find***' operations. However, I cannot select those operations when I try to expose the business object as a web service.
How can I get those operations to be selected?

Rahul-
There is a limitation with CAF web services that they can not cater to collections. The findXXX methods always return collections hence they can not be exposed as web services. There are alternatives however - create a custom Complex Type which contains the collection. Create a method in an Application Service which calls your findXXX method and then returns the collection "through" the custom type you have created.
For example, if you want to return a list of purchase orders create a wrapper structure as follows:
ReturnStructure
PurchaseOrders [0..n]
