Cannot select shown pictures when opening a catalog

I am new to photoshop lightroom. I have imported photos to lightroom previously. I want to go back and edit again. I tried going to file, then open catalog, next I select a folder, finally I see all my photos...I try to select photos but I am unable to. This may be something super obvious but I cannot figure it out.

It sounds like you selected File->Import, not File->Open Catalog as you originally stated. Does that sound like what happened?
If your photos are already imported into Lightroom once, you don't have to import them again. You just open Lightroom by double-clicking on the Lightroom icon, and you should be able to see your photos, select them, and do whatever you'd like in Lightroom with them.

Cannot select find operations when exposing Business Object

Hi,
I have created a business object from which I need to 'find' instances. The business object has to be exposed as a web service.
The business object has 'find***' operations. However, I cannot select those operations when I try to expose the business object as a web service.
How can I get those operations to be selected?

Rahul-
There is a limitation with CAF web services that they can not cater to collections. The findXXX methods always return collections hence they can not be exposed as web services. There are alternatives however - create a custom Complex Type which contains the collection. Create a method in an Application Service which calls your findXXX method and then returns the collection "through" the custom type you have created.
For example, if you want to return a list of purchase orders create a wrapper structure as follows:
ReturnStructure
PurchaseOrders [0..n]

Hi there!
Since you say this started "all of a sudden" -- Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

I cannot see my pictures when the grid is on only an hour glass

I am unablke to see my pictures ( only the hourglass whenI see the grid of pictures. If I click on one hourglass the picture will open, but that is not acceptable.

When you click Write and open the new message editor, press Alt to show the Menu Bar, then enable all the toolbars under View/Toolbars. Plus, press F9 to show the Contacts sidebar.

Limiting shown buttons when opening 3D PDF in acrobat reader

Hi guys.
I want to create a 3D PDF to be viewed on the web. I don't think that all buttons(rotate, spin, pan, zoom, etc.) in the 3D toolbar are necessary so I would like to choose which buttons will be shown when the user click where it says
"Click to Activate 3D"
Is there a way t do this? If so, is there a way to lock those so the user cannot activate them?

Hello,
There is an option to manage display of the 3D toolbar whichi only available at the creation of the 3D PDF file (within Acrobat Pro Extended only..):
Go to Edit/Preferences
Select a 3D format then press Edit Settings
Under 3D Panel there is a check box called "Show 3D toolbar by Default" Unselect this option then press OK.
Convert a 3d file to PDFthen save the file
Open the PDF within Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro Extended, the 3D toolbar will not be displayed after activating the 3D content..

Cannot select flagged pictures with filter

Is that a known issue?
I cannot filter all the flagged pictures in directory. I have a set of pictures selected in the grid view. Some of them are flagged. If I activate the flag on the filter the grid view shows no picture at all!
I haven't found this issue reported yet.

The white label comes from a label text present in your catalog which does not match any of the entries in your currently active color label set. There are different color label sets to chose from (see Metadata Menu in Library), including custom built ones. If the text that was active when a photo was labeled does not match the currently active set, it shows as white.

Cannot select Item Type when creating new Backlog Items

According to the documentation, when creating a new Backlog Item in TFS Online (https://www.visualstudio.com/get-started/create-your-backlog-vs),
illustration #3 shows that you should be able to select the Item Type from a combo box.
However, I can’t. Mine just shows “Product Backlog Item”.
How come I don’t have a combo box to select the Item Type?
I’m trying to create an item with a type of “Bug” as shown in illustration #4.

You can enable bugs in backlog by following the instructions in below picture.
Or you can work with Bug WIT in the same level as Task WIT by selection option as below.

Cannot select an album when sending a SMS

When I try to select sn album to view or send an SMS the page I go to freezes my phone. Ive tried to factory reset and that doesnt work. I am at a loss of what to do. Can anyone help? Or let me know if you need further info on the problem.

i would try to view them through your pc via connecting the device with the usb cord (or if your pc has and sd card drive you can just put the sd card straight into the pc). if you can open them, then the phone may just be having trouble reading your card. if the pc cannot recognize the sd card, then you may have a bad card and lost what is on it. do you have apps or music on the sd card that you can access? if so and you can access other items on your sd card, then there may be something going bad with your gallery app?????

Iphoto hid my pictures when opening a CD of pictures

my sisters wedding picture cd asked me for an update before i could open it in iphoto, then when i went to events only the pictures from her cd were in iphoto. now i have a bunch of icons on my desktop and NONE of my 3,000 pictures can be found in iphoto, however my desktop pictures are still rotating my pictures

Illustrator cs6 "this file cannot be found" problem when open file from network

I used to install the trial version of Illustrator CC on my desktop and then when the trial run out I decide to go with illustrator CS6 instead, So I decide to buy &
install Illustrator CS6 on our desktop and everything seem to be fine except
the problem is our .ai file is located on the network shared drive of the design team,
When we try to open the file from the network drive with illustrator CS6, it said "This file cannot be found"
- we try to copy the file from network drive to our desktop and file can open without problem
- if we directly double click the file from the network drive to launch the illustrator CS6 with that file. It's also fine, no problem at all.
- but if we open the illustrator CS6 first and try open.. and then browse to that file on network, then "This file cannot be found" happen again.
- Illustrator CS6 have no problem open file in the local harddisk.
- Illustrator CC never have this problem open file in our network drive, try reinstall the Illustrator CC trial again and it can open without problem
- I try using Adobe CC Cleaner tool to remove everything before reinstall the Illustrator CS6, still no luck.
- Try remove the Adobe relate folder in user/user/Appdata and then reinstall, still no luck
- Try right click and open with --> Illustrator CS6 , yes if we double click the file directly it's ok, but as mentioned if we open illustrator first then browse for the file, the problem happen.
Did I miss anything to fix it ?

the same thing happend to me,
in my office the same folder with hebrew name, I can open files
on my laptop the same folder with hebrew name, I cannot open files.
I know its about the folder because when I put the files in a different folder, it open them.
how can I fix it without changing the names of my entire work folders?
there must be a different between my two computers.

Cannot Select IR Columns when IR condition is request = e1

Hello: I'm on 4.1.1 and have long-running interactive report. I created a filter criteria region above the IR that contains a button to show the report (since it is long running). The button is a branch back to same page with a request (I also had trouble with dynamic action on button that submitted the page with request, but just kept moving along :-) ). The IR report display condition is based on the request. I have it working fine, but now I cannot add columns to the report by clicking on Actions > Select Columns. It just spins/hangs.
Is this a bug?

Hello Jari: Further testing revealed that I now cannot export an excel spreadsheet with your design. I click Action > Download > CSV and then the report goes blank. I assume there is another submit in there when I try to download. If this additional submit has a request then I suppose I can make it work if I know the value of the request.
I have removed the computation copied from your design (which beside the above issue worked great) and replaced it with an application process (AP). The AP will set the show_report item to 'N' whenever the only link to that page is clicked - which is a tab. I learned how to get tab's request value from ATD's post: Re: set item value depends on tab request (I will also revisit that thread since it gets into cookies stuff which I want to understand better)
This new design appears to work fine.

Can't see pictures when opening other mans Illustrator files

I'm pretty new at working with Illustrator. And I already stumbled upon some problems. Normally I use google to find the answer, but this time I have no idea how to google for it. So what ist the problem?
For my work I needed to design an illustration where I also used pictures from my computer. We have a server on which all the computers are connected, however I first saved my Illustrator file on my computer and later exported it to the server. When some else tries to open the file they can't see the pictures I used. So what do I need to do? I the only solution to save the pictures on the servers as well and replace them on the file? Or is there an option to save the pictures within the files.

If people are saving files to a common server it is a good idea to keep images in the same folder as the Illustrator files.
Also don’t mix Mac and Windows. If you are using Macs for working on, use a Mac server. If Windows, use a Windows server.
Illustrator doesn’t like saving to remote servers much, but if you follow the above you should avoid problems for the most part.

Photo Import: cannot select some pictures in a row except I select all pictures

LR 4.4 (Apple): if I try to import photos from my iphone or SD Card --> I can select ALL photos. If I deselect ALL photos and try to select some photos then some photos are selectable, some not (somehow automatically "greyed out"). I tried with marking 1 photo and SHIFT + marking other photo. No success.
Is LR maybe deselecting photos if they are not sharp?

I think I have this figured out... I have a folder '11-24-2011' and another folder labeled '2011-11-24'. The folder that is not displayed is a subset of the pictures in the other (displayed) folder, so I think these are duplicates. Not sure how or why this other folder got created, but oh well...

Cannot select mobile device when visiting Store wi...

I have problems browsing Store with my Firefox v10 browser. Same problem occurs even using Firefox on Linux (Fedora 16) or on Windows 7. Selecting mobile device is totally impossible because some failing CSS, javascript, or whatever browser dependent thing. Please check atatchment for more details. I can select mobile type from the left, but cannot scroll right to select my phone. Arrow keys, TAB key, .. no help. It works wit Internet Explorer, because Nokia has obviously tested it with IE only. Please fix this.

Msn looses letters and pictures when opened

when i open msn under safari as my home page the letters,words,what ever just dissappear when the mouse pointer goes over them.i have to reload 4 or more times to get it to stop.i have since tried firefox and dont have this problem. what cause this?

Yes. Since iPhoto is now linked to the proper library you can delete those other library folders.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
