Cannot select TC in TM for Setup

Hello,
This is my first time posting in the forums, and I'm fairly new to Macs, so forgive me if I don't do a good job of describing my problem.
I just bought a new Macbook (hurray!) and a time capsule.
I already have an Imac, both using Leopard.
I hooked up our ethernet to the WAN port in the TC and placed it the office. Did the whole setup thing, and am currently connected to the net using my Macbook, which recognizes the TC.
The problem is, when I open Time Machine on my Macbook and hit "setup" it asks me to chose a disk. There are none available in the list field, but I can click a button that says "Set up Time Capsule". I've done this a few times, go through the set-up, hit "done", and it restarts the TC, but then I go through the whole thing again, with the TC never coming up as an option for a disk in TM. GRRR
As a side-note, the TC does come up as an option for TM backup when I use the IMac (which is not physically connected to the TC in any way).
I don't understand and am terribly frustrated.

I think I've got it!
Launch Airport Utility --> Select the Time Capsule --> Click "Manual Setup" --> Select "Disks" at the top of the window.
Click on the "Disks" tab. The name of your Time Capsule should appear in the box under the words "This pane shows your Airport disks."
Click on the "File Sharing" tab and make sure the box labeled "Enable file sharing" is checked. If the boc is already checked, then uncheck it and then recheck it.
Click "Update" in the lower right hand corner.
Wait for the Time Capsule to restart.
Now go back to the Time Machine Preference pane and click "Change Disk...". Your Time Capsule should now appear and be selectable for backups.

Let me ask you this: Is the assembly order 16600192 your VA02 order number? If not, your sales order item might have created an assembly order (with this number). Depending on its status, you may not be able to delete the assembly order and therefore the sales order item deletion is not possible.
Verify the assembly order status.

I'm using iTunes 9 and I recently just bought AirPort Express. I have used it before in the past put the problem I have now is that I cannot select the Express network for my speakers. Does Airport Express only work with iTunes 10 or 11?

Cannot select certain background images for lock s...

When I try to change my lock screen image with one of the preloaded background photos, some of them work fine. But some of them do not bring up the image crop selector tool, and simply drop back to the lock screen settings screen, keeping me from being able to use them. This makes me think that there's something about some of those images that the photo selector cannot handle and perhaps silently crashes the photo selector. For example, even there's about a dozen problematic photos, one image I cannot pick is the one with the sea turtle in it.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Lumia 520. Did something happen to your phone prior to the issue? When did this problem start happening? Would you mind telling us the error message that you are getting?
Please make sure that High contrast is turned off. To do that, go to Settings > Ease of access > High contrast > off. You may also go back to Settings > Lock screen. Under Background, it must be photo > select Change photo and choose a picture. If this will not resolve your concern, you may consider doing a reboot by pressing and holding both the volume down and power keys until it vibrates, then try again.
Let us know the outcome.

Cannot Select Keyboard Layout During Initial Setup

This is my first Mac and I'm trying to set it up.
When I turn it on and go through the initial set up screens, I get stuck at the "Select Your Keyboard" screen.
On it, there are no choices listed for me to select and hence I cannot continue unless a choice is made.
Anyone experience this?

No. Although once yu have completed your Mac OS X and bundled software installation Software Update should, within the first couple of minutes of your first boot, launch and at that point you can update everything of your new Mac Pro. You might like to note as well that you would be in the exact same position with the factory installation.

Cannot select ldap user profile for SGD Global Admin

Hi all,
I'm trying to select some ldap users to be in the SGD Global Administrators role, but I am unable to check the check box next to the user profile once I navigate to the account. There is no check box to check.
I am actively using LDAP for regular user auth and application assignment, so I know my LDAP "works" in that sense, I just can't use it to assign global admins.
Any thoughts?

The only way to do this is to create a user profile for the (would-be) admin account. And since they're an LDAP user, you'll have to use LDAP mirroring to do this. For example, let's say the user you want is "cn=Joe Admin, ou=Users, dc=example, dc=com"
Go to "User Profiles", and browse to/open:
dc=com
cd=example
create the directory object "ou=Users"
Inside of "ou=Users", create the user profile object "cn=Joe Admin"
Add this user object to the Global Administrators role.

Cannot select proper root folder for new DW site in DW CS6

I'm new to Dreamweaver and am trying to set up a new DW site to do a tutorial.   I am trying to create a new DW site named "Check CS6 Tutorial". The Local site folder defaults to: C:\Users\Pam\Desktop\Unnamed Site 2\ but I don't want that. I browse folders to choose 'c:\dreamweaver' and get the error message:
The root folder you have chosen is the same as the folder for site 'Pam-Test'. This may cause some operations, such as synchronization, to work incorrectly. Proceed anyway?
I keep trying to select the c:\dreamweaver location for my files but keep getting the error message above.

You need to organize your sites in individual folders for DW to function correctly.
Personally, I would create a folder on your desktop called "Websites". Then inside that folder, create another folder called "tutorial site". Set "tutorial site" as your new tutorial site's root folder and put all of the tutorial site's files and folders into it. All of a site's resources need to stay inside that site's root, so all .html, .jpg, .gif, .js, .css, etc.
Any additional sites would then have their own folder created inside the "Websites" folder and that folder would be their site root. All of the files for each individual site needs to stay inside that sites individual root folder. The structure would look like...
Websites
     tutorial site
          all of tutorial site's files
     pam-test
          all pam-test site files
     website 3
          all of website 3's files
     etc...

I would like to know why I cannot select a payment date for a credit card payment but I can select a payment date for a check payment on line.

I am trying to find out about on line payment dates.
When I have made payments via my checking account, I am able to schedule those payments.
Today I made a credit card payment and was unable to schedule that payment for my due date.
I was charged today.
I don't understand why I can pre-schedule an e-check but not a credit card payment.

I think you will find that you have to have a debit/credit card stored on yur account regardless of whether your have iTunes Credit or want to purchase a free App. I don't know why, I assume its for ID verification or is part of the terms and conditions. I occasionally have to re-verify my credit card info even when just trying to run Update on one of my Apps or like I said downloading a free App.

Cannot select multiple iPhoto events for screen saver anymore... why?

I previously had Lion and just upgraded to Mavericks last week. My screen saver settings were wiped out (no big deal), so I went into the settings to select the events, faces, etc. I had previously selected to run. But when I went to try put things back to normal, it looks as if you can only select one event, face, etc... not multiples. Am I missing something? Or is that the way things are now?

I am getting the above error while rejecting a line item for sales order.
Diagnosis says:
Due to the current situation of the document, the system has attempted to mark the procurement element 1440363 with a deletion flag.
This could, however, not be carried out, as the procurement element was in a state that does not allow the deletion flag to be set.
I am unable to handle it.
Please guide me in this regard.

Cannot select photos from albums for screensaver since upgrade to Tiger.

Since upgrading my G4 to Tiger, screensaver will only work with Photo Library, Last Row, and Last 12 months folders. I can no longer select my own albums I have created in iPhoto. When I do select my own albums, the screensaver selects from Photo Library. Screensaver will work with the Last Row and last 12 month albums. This is kind of frustrating. Not too pleased with Tiger and would reinstall Panther in a heartbeat if I could figure out how to do it.

If Firefox shows "Remember History" then that means that all history settings have the default value.<br />
Only if all History settings are default then you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".<br />
"Use custom settings for history" reverts to "(Never) Remember history" if all History and Cookies settings have the default setting.<br />
You see "Use custom settings for history" if at least one of the History or Cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that you made changes.<br />

New Ipad cannot connect to i-Tunes for setup without Wi-fi, but iphone will connect

I just bought a new Ipad and I keep getting the error message. I don't have access to wifi, so I have to use Itunes (connected to my computer).
Problem is, when I plug in the ipad I get the following error message:
"We could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
I tried the parental controls thing, and I know my firewall isn't blocking it .. because my iphone is plugged up right now and transfering my purchases .. so I know itunes is working .. but why will it not work with my ipad???
So frustrating. I just want to use my new ipad.

So far I have followed every tutorial I have found and every time I do I get a different error message. Here are some of them:
"itunes could not connect to this ipad. An unknown error ocurred. (OxE800000A)"
Then after I followed a tutorial I got:
"itunes could not connect to the ipad "ipad" because an invalid response was received from the device"

I did set up the password when I got the phone and iPad months ago but never turned it on. Now it is asking for the passwords for both my iPhones and iPad and I cannot select not the have the passwords active. ???

If you do not want to use passcodes, why don't you just go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and delete the passcode and set the lock to OFF. That will eliminate the problems all together.
