Cannot send email out from macbook pro?

cannot send out emails, connection status is all green

This is something very normal for Mac Mail. All of a sudden it will stop either sending or receiving emails for no reason.
It has nothing to do with your router or your ISP or your settings in Mac Mail.
If you do a search of these forum you will see this is a common problem with Mac Mail.
Do yourself a BIG favor and switch to an Email program that actually works, any other email program.

  • I am all of a sudden not able to send emails out from my outlook account on my iPhone.  Any suggestions?

I am not able to send emails out from my outlook account on my iPhone 4s.  This feature has been working fine for 2 years and all of a sudden decided not to work.  I was able to receive emails but not send out.  I tried deleting the outlook account and recreating it but now I can't even recreate it.  It tells me it cannot verify my account information.  The interesting thing is that the account works fine on my PC, so I know my login info is correct.  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Cannot send email anymore from IPad Air

    >>Duplicate post removed to comply with the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service   Please see Cannot send email from my IPad Air<<

Thanks.  I got the problem fixed.  Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor.  It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner.  Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail.  I checked all the specifics between the three units.  It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com  to TWC.com.  Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

  • Trouble Sending Mail only from MacBook Pro

I've got a MacPro and a MacBook Pro. The MacPro is connected via ethernet while the MacBook Pro is connected to the same network via WiFi. I can always connect to the internet on the laptop and also receive incoming mail, but cannot send mail using the Mail app on the laptop. No problems sending from the MacPro. Any ideas about what might be going on?

... one other piece of info - when I connect to the same home network with my iPhone, I can both receive and send emails on the same email account.

  • Changing the font size when sending email out from the iPad with MobileMe

Is there a way from the iPad, or from my MacBook to the iPad, that I can increase the size of the font when typing outgoing mail? I use MobileMe on both my iPad and MacBook. My sister has cataracts and she needs the type size larger than what is already set on the iPad outgoing mail. I can make the type size larger for my incoming mail - I guess I did it through iPad settings -but I can't seem to figure out how to make it larger for my outgoing mail. I would prefer to be able to answer her on my iPad than having to switch back to my Mac each time she writes. Thank you.

I guess what I am looking for is a toolbar when I am sending email so that I can change the font size, change the typeface, make words bold, underline them
I don't think you will find any app that does that, it's the kind of feature only Apple can add. You can tell them here:

  • Why the emails sent from MacBook Pro are so wretched?

    Really need help, guys..
Why all the emails sent from my Macbook Pro (from Mail and even from website of yahoo mail and gmail), people received it so mussy...so wretched (am not sure the correct word in english)..
People received it without paragraph at all. Although I typed emails with 3 paragraph, turned out people got it in 1 paragraph.
Can somebody tell me what's wrong?

Nothing is wrong on your end. The problem is the way they have set up their email program to display their emails.

  • Cannot send email with Palm Treo Pro

    Hi,
We have a Palm Treo Pro that was previously configured to sync with exchange 2003 and at the same time also had an IMAP email account setup for another email address.  We have since removed the Exchange email account and only have the IMAP account configured.  Since removing the exchange account we can no longer send email from the phone, but can receive fine.  The error we get when trying to send is listed below.
"The message(s) could not be sent.  Check that you have network coverage and that you account information is correct then try sending again"
The connection is fine because we can receive email and browse fine.  The account information is also correct.  We are using the SMTP server settings for the phones provider and that requires no authentication.  I have also tried a different SMTP server with the appropriate user credentials but still get that message.
I have contacted the phone provider (Telstra) but they were no use.
We did have to load on a self signed certificate to get the exchange email working and I dont know whether this is causing any issues.
If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated

  • Video out from MacBook Pro to HDTV - no solution?

I've had this problem for over a year now and nobody has been able to help me solve it, not even the Apple guys. I need to get the video out from my MacBook Pro (Mini DisplayPort) to my HDTV which is an older model which only has Y/Pb/Pr analogue video inputs. Does anyone know which connectors I can use in order to get 1080i on my TV? My thoughts were MDP to VGA first so that we get an analogue signal, and then VGA to Y/Pb/Pr? Would this work? Why/why not? Please help!!!

See whether this sounds like it might be the answer:

  • Sending faxes wirelessly from macbook pro

Recently switched old printer on wireless network to new HP printer, scanner, fax combo. Everything works but the fax. When I attempt to fax a document, I get an error message stating that no fax modem is available. When I go to "print and fax" area of system preferences, the driver is present for the printer as well as the fax but there is no fax tab to allow me to view which fax modems are present. There is a Dell PC in my household on the same wireless network-- it can scan, print, and fax. Go figure. How do I get my macbook pro to send faxes over the wireless network?

    grwjr,
Well, it appears you have installed the HP software OK, but you are following the wrong procedure to send a fax.
As sig said, make sure you have a phone line connected to the HP all-in-one. Then, follow these steps to fax a document:
-Open the document on on your computer.
    -Select File->Print
-From the drop-down menu at the top, next to "Printer" select the fax printer.
    -Click the Print button.
That's it. To use your HP all-in-one's fax function, you do not use any of your Mac's built-in fax capability. So, don't bother with any of the built-in fax commands.

  • Cannot Send Emails Out or Download Attachments

When I try to download attachments, it gives me a message "service book information not found" or when I try to email, it tells me that it will send to draft?

    Hi there!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.

  • HT4528 I have a problem: I cannot send emails away from my wireless connection at my home computer. How can I correct this?

How do I send email messages when out of my wireless home computer?

I want to make sure I'm understanding you clearly:

  • How can I conceal my personal name when sending email out from my iCloud email account?

I prefer to keep my first and last name private when I send e-mail about for my iCloud account. In the body of an e-mail, if it's a personal correspondence and appropriate, I will THEN elect to provide my full name. But I don't want my first and last name appearing involuntarily in the header of my e-mail as it arrives in the recipients inbox.
I called tech support and spent 90 minutes on the phone on Sept. 23 and we did not manage to arrive at a solution. Revealing the first and last name connected to the account should always be an "elective" item. Privacy is paramount these days and not every e-mail you send out is solely for trusted friends and relatives. In age of Internet privacy woes, discretion should be the default and exposure of personal information the exception.
Might anyone be able to help? Thanks!

    Hi allinforapple,
If you are concerned about your full name being associated with emails your send from iCloud, you may find the following articles helpful. If the concern is about the address itself (i.e. [email protected], if you happen to have an address like that), you are able to create an Alias address tied to your account. If that is not a concern, you can also change the Full Name associated with your current address from the same Preferences > Accounts menu:
    iCloud: About email aliases
iCloud: Create or change email aliases

  • Cannot send email links from Safari share button in iOS8

    Hi All:
This is a new one for, and not something I have experienced since link sharing was introduced. I am running iOS 8.1.1 on my iPhone 6. When I find a web page I want to share in Safari, I tap the Share icon, and the share sheet comes up. I select Mail, and a pre-populated email sheet appears. I can type text in the Message or Subject fields, but if I try to select a different sender address or enter a recipient address, the email message simply disappears. it's not in Mail trash or Drafts. It's just gone. This does not happen with my iPad mini 3 at all. Also does not happen on any of my family members' phones.
Obviously, I can Select,Copy,Paste the link into a manual email message. But sharing a link via email does not work in my phone. Any ideas besides a restore?
    TIA!

In Mail, select Mail > Preferences > General > Default email reader: Mail 5.2
